Service Master is a full service restoration company that handles all types of disasters from start to finish. in an emergency, If you call us, at any time of day or night, you are transferred live to the person on call, and we will be on site within 2-4 hours, prepared to get things stabilized and moving forward. We are a fully certified restoration firm. We are also a licensed general contractor, with an “unlimited” license. The quality and service provided on a job is paramount, and we pride ourselves on doing the job right. Our company is in the top 200 of over 4000 ServiceMaster Franchises. Steve has been in the restoration industry since 2002. During this time he has achieved five different certifications: Advanced Structural Drying, Water Restoration Technician, Odor Control Technician, Fire Smoke Restoration Technician, and has received the training of a Certified Microbial Remediation. Steve and his wife Carol have run the business since 2002, Carol handles the accounting and Human Resources while Steve mainly deals with the day to day operations. They have two wonderfully talented children. Their daughter has just graduated college and their son is currently enrolled in college at High Point University.

Overall, the work went well and they seemed to do a fine job. They were quick in packing, a few things were broken, but other than that they did fine. Our insurance covered the expenses and it would have been over $5000 and it was a flooded house.

Very professional service. They were very attentive and took a lot of care with my home. They helped guide me through the complicated insurance process both for fixing the damage done by the water and for repairing my home. Would definitely recommend.

Kudos to this comapany regarding the quality of service we recieved following our water damage. Each representative was prompt, professional, accommodating and friendsly. Care was taken in assessing the damagae and determining what needed to be done as well as in shielding adjacet areas and furniture from dust and debris. My biggest concern was that the removal and relacement of the textured celiling would damage the walls and necessitate a major paint job. I was assured that since I had the paint, there would be no problem. That turned out to be 100% true. I was told ba a friend who used ServiceMaster several years ago after smoke damage that I had nothing to worry about: "they'll take care of everything." Now I can use this quote based on my own experience.

My experience with ServiceMaster was not a good one and I regret ever having contacted them and hiring them. I had a water damage situation and unfortunately my insurance company referred me to them. At first, I thought the situation was being handled appropriately because the technician came out to my home in a timely manner. He proceeded to rip up my flooring, subflooring, carpeting and padding and then set up the turbodryers and left them to run continuously for a few days. All of this was upsetting, as you can imagine, but I was told that their restoration services would put my home back together again so I was tolerant of the process. The turbodryers were later removed and my home looked like a demolition zone. A different person was sent out to my home to take measurements for restoration services for an estimate for my insurance company. I was told that they would take care of the entire job of restoring my home and that I would be sent a copy of the estimate they were preparing. However, a week passed and I heard nothing from them. I called them, but supposedly no one was available to take my call. I left a message and no one called me back. Another week passed and still no return phone call and no copy of the estimate was ever sent to me. I did receive a huge bill for the water mitigation service. I then noticed that what looked to be mold or fungus was now growing across where the floors had been ripped up on the exposed subflooring. I called the company again and told them about the stuff that was growing and was told that their "mold guy" would call me back. Another week passed but no mold guy ever called me back. In fact, no one at all called me back and I still did not have a copy of the estimate either. I wrote a letter to the company in complaint of their service and the mold now growing on the exposed floor. I was contacted by the company and was asked if they could send someone out to see what was growing on my floors. I let their man come see for himself and he took photographs of the situation and told me he would be back out to my home at 9:00 a.m. the next morning to treat the area. However, the next morning the man did not show up. An hour passed so I called the company to let them know the man had not shown up and I was waiting on him, but was told that he was in a meeting. This was frustrating as we had set the appointment and I had taken the time off work. It got to be lunch time and I called the company again letting them know I had to go to work and could not wait any longer. I asked to speak to the owner, Mr. McKee. Mr. McKee was unconcerned about my situation and tried to deny responsibility for the stuff now growing on my floors. He was also unapologetic that his man has not shown up for his appointment with me and showed no respect for my time having been wasted. $200 was eventually taken off my bill but I am extremely dissatisfied with this company and will never use them again.
Description of Work: This company provided water mitigation service. They were also supposed to perform restoration service but abandoned me after turning my home into a demolition zone.

I thought that this company did a thorough job in cleaning up all of the water. It did take them a while to dry up the carpet, but with all of the fans, you could not have asked for more. They made a bad situation, better.
Description of Work: My air conditioning unit backed up and they cleaned up the water backup on two levels of my home.
