The Sod Man

A perfect service contractor - no shortcomings of any sort. The owner initiated contact within hours of my request for a quote to install sod, gave a precise estimate, stated work could be undertaken within two business days, gave me details of the work to be done and within an hour I received the contract via email. The crew arrived on time, worked quickly, professionally and left my property clean. I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend The Sod Man to anyone looking to have a beautiful lawn installed.

Murphy was quick to get back to me after my first enquiry, their quote was excellent and the job was started almost immediately. His crew worked efficiently and was friendly and approachable. He left me with clear instructions on how to care for the new sod and followed up a few weeks later to see if there were any concerns.

Incomplete work. Started a sod installation during a rainstorm. While clearing out the brush, the bobcat got imbedded and stuck in mud. Bobcat was left overnight in my yard as well a trailer of uninstalled sod. Returned the next day to retrieve the bobcat and finish the job. Job was fairly done but not completed. When Murphy was asked when his team would return, I was told I will let you know sir. A month later still have not heard from Murphy or his team. Contract states they will return twice in six weeks to check the progress. I see a breach of contract coming and action will be taken.

The Sod Man and his team are high quality professionals. I am very pleased with the results of the work I had done. And I am scheduling them to do 2 more projects for my yard. I highly recommend the Sod Man for your projects to get done in a professional and timely manner.

This is the second time I have used them (two different residences) and neither time they have disappointed. They not only laid the sod, they dug a 100 ft trench and laid corrugated pipe I had purchased for two downspouts to the back portion of my yard to help with runoff, as well as ground down a tree stump. Yard is gorgeous. I would recommend them any day of the week.

Murphy was quick to respond, the work was done on the day he told us it would be done, done in 1 day and looks perfect. My wife and I travel and Murphy stopped by daily after the job was completed to ensure it got water daily and set up the sprinkler system with a timer that was amazing. He committed to watching the sod for the next 6 weeks to ensure it is healthy which is above and beyond any company would ever do. He was an expert on everything grass and reccomened the sod we needed based on soil, sun and maintenance. We will 100% use Murphy and his sod company when we have the backyard done.

We set up an appointment and he was punctual. Even though I spoke to a couple of companies, Murphy came across as sincere, professional, and provided a good price that I was comfortable with.
