The Sod Man Team was great to work with from quoting to project execution and support after the project. I was impressed by the amount of work and materials that went into preparing the soil prior to laying the sod. The Tif Tuf sod product is a quality product in my opinion, has been durable throughout the fall with proper watering. Initially, the primary reason for choosing The Sod Man had been based on customer reviews and the sod guarantee while doing our project in the fall. My wife and I can't be anymore happier with the work the Sod Man did in our backyard. He came out to the house this past Monday and installed 3000 sq ft of sod, installed a fire pit and mulched the flower beds Thursday. A 3 day lead time. Murphy performed an on-site evaluation to lay our sod and provided a very reasonable estimate. He also provided instructions to care for the sod once installed. The installation crew was very courteous and did a great job in the preparation and installation of our sod. I would hire them again!

Very good group to get the job done but the tree removal was much more than they expected. They cleaned up and will be back in a few weeks for follow up. Feels like they laid carpet, love it!

They were fast and did a great job!

The crew showed up, busted their butts, and took my lawn from Sanford and Son to Augusta National in 1 day. They did EXACTLY what I had requested in the estimate and kept me informed throughout the whole process. The Sod man charged me almost $1000 less than the other estimates and performed the exact same service, removed existing grass, regraded entire work area, spread topsoil, and laid the sod. They were very clear and precise in their watering instructions and cleaned up everything, I didn't have to lift a finger. I would absolutely recommend The Sod Man to anyone looking to re-sod their yard, if you hire someone else, you do so at your own peril.

This is our second experience with this company. We chose The Sod Man to sod our first yard in Pinehurst by checking the Home Advisor site. The reviews for Murphy and his crew were spot on. They laid Bermuda grass in our first yard and it was fantastic. They were prompt and professional and did a fabulous job. They set up our sprinklers on a timer to make sure the grass was watered properly. We didnâ t hesitate to call on them again for our yard installation at our newly built house. Murphy responds quickly for estimates and always shows up for the time he schedules the installation. We have another beautiful yard this time with zoysia grass.
