Description of Work: Replaced some siding on the house, but missing a lot of other rotted wood that I had to get replaced later. The price was a lot higher of the next guy. But everyone was on time and completed the work fast. Because if the cost I would seek others.

Description of Work: I needed my dryer vent moved from under the house to vent it outside. and Also 2 electrical outlets outside. The crew ran into a little trouble with my wiring... It's an old house and had several modifications to the electrical system. The work crew were here just about all day. They finished up and cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy with the work, they did.

Description of Work: II was impressed with "Call Mr. Fix-It" when I called a year ago and was told by Dennis, owner, to call him again when I had exhausted my estimates and was ready to begin work. He was honest and upfront about the initial cost for going out for an estimate unless he got the job. Then the fee would become part of the total contract fee. |His demeanor was also impressive when I met him while going over my "to do" list. I immediately picked up that this was a contractor who was in the business of not trying to take advantage of one with exorbitant prices, but he was interested in doing a good job for the customer. He asked his favorite line of "What do you want to hear, the good news or the bad news first?" Then his response was there is no bad news as he explained what needed to be done and what didn't. I did not need a completely new roof as other estimators had suggested. | Dennis and his crew of two, Mike and Tommy, arrived on time and immediately began repair work on a botched chimney job that had been attempted by three other contractors. Dennis, who is an "on-site" owner, matched to perfection the old tiles. I am completely satisfied with the job they did. | They also replaced a portion of sagging roof. After the roof was finished, Mike, Tommy, and Nate cleaned up all debris. Mike even cleaned straw out of the gutters with the blower. A big "Thank you" goes to Mike for that kind gesture. To say I am pleased with the entire roofing would be an understatement. "Call Mr. Fix-It" is on my to do list for the remainder of my odd jobs. |

Description of Work: We had our garage enclosed. They told me not to worry about a permit which I believed them and that they would do. I have found out they never did it, the foreman was unprofessional and in the end I told the owner I did not want him back to my house. When I would ask questions they would get defensive and not answer my questions. The price was great I guess you get what you pay for. I would not use them again.

 + 7 moreBefore he actually starts the work, I am working on getting a itemized list of the costs for each part of the service. Dealing with this service provider thus far, I've felt comfortable. He has been timely. He came right out and gave me the estimate quickly. Little stuff that I know that others might charge me for, he isn't charging me for because he says, "I'm already here, I might as well do it!"
Description of Work: I received an estimate from him to remove and replace the floor and underlayment in the kitchen, and remove decking boards and masonite siding in bays windows. He will be fixing the portion of the deck close to the house to stop water damage. He is also going to install flooring throughout the house. In the master bathroom, he is going to take out and replace the tub and toilet and work on the flooring and vanity top. In the second the bathroom he is going to tile and put in the vanity top and fixtures and replace drywall. Also he is going to pressure wash and stain my deck

 + 4 moreDennis and crew were very professional. He and his crew arrived on time and waisted no time tackling the job. They even took a break to help me load a couple of pieces of furniture into my truck. The work was finished when promised. Because I live in Miami now. Dennis notified me of the progress by phone and photos. When issues arose he contacted me to let me know what my options were. I was very impressed with the work Dennis and crew performed that I had him do up two more contracts for other work I need done on the home. I also made Call Mr. Fix it the sole contractor for working on my rental homes in NC.
Description of Work: Master bedroom Installed custom closet doors which included some minor framing drywall and trimwork. Guest bathroom Finished drywall, tiled the shower and floor, installed toilet and vanity as well as installed overhead fan and light and 6 panel door and paint. Foyer installed custom closet doors to include minor framing and trim work.

Description of Work: We had a plastic watrer supply to our refridgerator that had a leak for at least (one) year. This leak affected the kitchen & ajoining wall to the bathroom floors, both of which caused major damage to both floors ajoining the walls. The bottom kitchen cabnits had to be replaced along with both the kitchen floor,& the bathroom, too enclude the floor joists, & sub floors.

 + 0 moreHe was late and what was verbaly requested was not in the contract. We wanted two tone painting but he only had one written in the contract. Had to redo the contract to include two colors. His price was higher but he presented himself as a retired Army guy that could be trusted and worth the extra money. He had to come back because the work was incomplete as per the contract.

 + 0 moreDennis and his team came in and identified the details of what I wanted done. I needed my roof replaced and a large crack in my ceiling repaired. He quickly detailed what the repairs would be and parts he would need. They dropped off their materiels that weekend and begun work on Monday. They arrived on time and quickly completed all the work, as promised, on time. After completion of the job, they policed up all debris. I was left with a beautiful roof, a uncracked ceiling, and a clean yard.

Description of Work: Dennis and his professional and friendly staff replaced and re-shingled my roof, removed and replaced large sections of my plaster ceiling damaged from water leaks, removed rotted wood from the side of my cottage and replaced with flashing and new wood. Dennis and crew came out and evaluated the situation, repaired the hole and fixed some other imperfections in my kitchen ceiling. I made a hole in the drywall in another room of my home. They quickly patched and sanded the drywall. They also helped make a few other small repairs to one of my bathrooms free of charge. Good Stuff!!

 + -1 moreThe owner of the company gave us a prompt estimate. Once we made the decision to hire his company for the work; we were kept imformed as to when the work would start. On the day that the work was sceduled to start; the worklmen were on time, well prepared and very professional. The repairs were quickly made; even though there was more damage found once the damaged overhang was pulled off. The painters did an excellent job of making sure that no paint overspray got onto my shrubbery, flowers or rock work on my house. We have a large garden statue in our flowerbeds that is to heavy to move. The workmen made sure that the statue was well wrapped and that nothing damaged it. When it came time to paint the concrete on the porch, one workman noted that concrete paint was needed and provided some paint that he had free of cost. Overall we had a excellent experience, our house is beautiful and we would definatley recommend this company to anyone.
Description of Work: They replaced some damaged siding, window trim and replaced a damaged piece of overhang on the side of the house. A hole in the roof under the shingles was discovered and they repaired that also. After the repairs were complete, they repainted the house
