My family came home to find a squirrel trapped in our fireplace. My wife was the first person to make initial contact with the gentleman on the other end of the line (919 810 3226, which is not listed on their website), they agreed on him coming out the next day at 9:00 am. I then called to confirm a price for the service and got off the line. In doing my due diligence, I got on Angie's List to look at reviews and unknowlingly called the a different number (919-661-0722, listed on their website) that went to the same person. On answering the phone, I asked how much he would charge and he replied that I had just called him ten minutes ago. The conversation went like this: Him: "Well if you're trying to get a cheaper price, I'll just cross you off the list and you can call me tomorrow." Me: "That's not what I'm doing, I'm trying to make sure I get a fair price." Him: "You can call me tomorrow if you want me to come." He then hung up on me. I understand that you may be offended that someone is researching around to make sure they're getting a fair price but that's the nature of business. Kicking someone off of your appointment list is no way to respond to that situation. This one experience will preclude me from getting service from this provider or recommending them to anyone else.
Description of Work: Rude on the phone, revoked previously promised service.

Response from Triangle Wildlife Removal & Pest Control Inc
The customer is always right. [Member name removed] failed to mention that he and his wife called me four different times in 2 hours about the squirrel in the fireplace on Sunday night. I spoke to her twice and him twice. The number in which I returned the call from to his wife originally was my personal cell phone. I have a call forward to my personal cell phone after hours for emergencies and this is listed nowhere. My price was the same each time, $150.00, which was an $85.00 service call and a $65.00 removal for the animal or animals. The fourth call came through and I said, we just spoke 20 minutes ago and I have you on my schedule for 9:00 a.m. It was obvious that he was shopping, which is fine. So I tried explaining to [member name removed] that I would remove him from my schedule for the 9:00 a.m. time because if he called and cancelled that morning, then I would lose his work and any other person I could have scheduled for that time slot. I quote, " I am not playing this damn game with you" was his reply. I answered again, please call me if you find no one to remove your squirrel. I was very matter of fact but not rude at all.

We called Friday evening after coming home to a nauseating smell coming form our fireplace. We received a call back early Saturday morning and a service visit within about an hour to remove the flue and check the small shelf behind the firebox, where a dead critter was rotting. The carcass was removed and everything was cleaned up and over within about 20 minutes, with good advice and suggestions on how to avoid future unwanted visits.

I woke up before dawn on July 18, hearing rustling noises in my attic, near the fan in my master bath. I knew bats would hang on the screens under the louvers, but they were on the OUTSIDE so I wasn't so concerned until I heard the noises. After it got light, I went into the attic and made my way to that end of the house. I was horrified to see a small mass of bats hanging INSIDE the louvers on the screen. I turned around and made my way out, immediately came on Angie's List and searched for bat removal where I found Triangle Wildlife Removal, Inc. I made a call and the owner, Tad Bassett, answered the phone. He was so kind and told me he would be over within the hour. He came and went into the attic, shooed all the bats out (I stood peaking around the end of the house and watched them fly out!!). He then put a temporary netting over the end louvers and installed a permanent screening on the small vent on the front of the house. Since he didn't have enough of the permanent screening in his truck, we made plans for him to come back at a later time. Now, I was in the middle of having a guy come out to paint my house so I wanted to be sure to get the louvers painted before the permanent screening was installed. The louvers were in dire need so we had a little hold up for me to schedule the paint guy to come. I called Tad and he planned to come the day after the painting but the weather did not cooperate. It was pouring down rain but his nephew did touch base with me even though he wouldn't have been able to finish. The nephew came this morning, right on time, and finished the permanent outside screening, which is not visible from the street at all!! He cleaned up all the guano as well as taking away the part of the insulation that was messy. He redistributed the existing insulation and assured me that I didn't need to add anymore. I am so happy with this company. They are so nice, so professional and very calming. I was also very happy with the price of the job. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone!
Description of Work: Removed bats from my attic, cleaned up all the mess they made and screened the outside louvers on each end of the house as well as a small one on the front of the house.

We had a fawn crawl under our screen porch and die, sadly. We called Triangle Wildlife Removal late in the afternoon. They gave us a price for the removal over the phone. We were able to schedule the service for the very next morning. They were very polite, efficient and professional.

It went well. I called them at 8:00am and had a service tech (Derrick) at my house at 10:30am. He advised me that there was a family of Chimney Swift's living in my chimney and that they are a migratory bird and were federally protected so while he was unable to remove them, he did say that they would leave on their own once the younger birds were old enough to fly on their own.

We heard some noise in our fireplace for a few days and decided to contact someone to come out and check to see if something had gotten into the fireplace. I contacted 2 companies and Triangle Wildlife Removal was able to come out that day. The service technician came right on time. He looked all through our fireplace and did not find anything. He then checked our chimney cover and indicated that it was in tact and nothing could have gotten in through there. He then went under the house to the crawl space and found that there were mice droppings near the entrance to the fireplace and that was why we were hearing the noises. There were no mice on his review but he told us what to get to prevent them from returning. He even went into our attic space but did not find anything up there. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and thorough and we will use Triangle again if we need to.
Description of Work: The service technician came to our home exactly when the appointment was for and he looked in our chimney, crawl space and attic and determined that what we heard was mice in our crawl space. He told us what to get to get rid of the mice. He was very thorough, extremely knowledgeable and couldn't have been more polite.

A raccoon had torn a whole in my roof and before I had the hole repaired I wanted to have any raccoons in the attic removed. As Tad agreed, sealing up the hole with a nest inside the attic would only lead to more issues. Tad showed up, inspected the damage to the roof and then went into the attic. After a thorough inspection I was pleased to learn I was raccoon free. It had not dug a large enough hole to get inside my home. He explained that older neighborhoods like mine are full of raccoons, offered advice on dealing with the raccoons and explained the services he could do, but did not push a sale/service since they were not inside my home. He also pointed out issues I was having with mice in the attic and feral cats and recommended options I could do myself to manage them. All in all, it was a productive visit, and I appreciated his thoroughness.

They did a great job to free our attic of bats, they found bats in more locations than we expected, set up exclusions so that the bats would not be able to go back to the attic, and then (upon request) did the job of placing barriers on the attic vents to prevent the return of the bats. Top notch people and service.

These guys are really top notch. I can't say enough good things about their service, professionalism, knowledge, punctuality...I mean really top notch. We just bought a new (older) house in October 2013. A lot of renovation, remodeling, painting, etc, had been done, but we learned from the neighbors that the previous owners didn't take very good care of the place and that there may be a few things that needed attention. The bat droppings concerned me, but I didn't see any bats in the attic so I put it on the back-burner. A few days later we saw two beady little eyes poking out of the fireplace watching us watch TV...at first we thought it was a bat, but ended up being a squirrel that had fallen down the chimney and into our fireplace. We got it out of the house eventually but I called Triangle Wildlife the next day. They came out that Friday at a time that was convenient for me. CH was the technician who came out. Really great guy, super polite and knowledgeable, very respectful of our family, took his shoes off and surveyed the interior and exterior of the house with me and addressed all of my concerns individually. He quoted me some prices for the work that needed to be done, and verified the costs with management to double confirm. He put up the nets for a bat exclusion and ordered the chimney cap and we set up a date for him to come back and put up the screens and install the chimney cap. He came back with another guy a week later (two man job), verified the bats were gone, installed the screens, and since I had quite a few things done they gave me a bit of a break on the price. Not a week later, I heard rustling in the walls lining the roof in the bonus room in the attic. When I hit the wall, I could hear squeaking and little feet running around. I thought maybe the bats weren't all gone, that maybe one of them had gotten trapped or something. I didn't want whatever it was to die in there if it was trapped, so I called Triangle Wildlife again. CH came within an hour, on a Friday evening, and actually apologized for being late. It wasn't an emergency and I told him to take his time, but he wanted to make sure that the work they did on the bats was done right. He came up and took a listen, and of all things it could have been he said it was probably flying squirrels. He went outside and determined that they had burrowed a hole behind the Chimney. He said he wasnt working on the weekend but that someone would be by to check the traps daily. The next two days, Tad Bassett (the owner) came out to check the trap. There were two flying squirrels found the first day, and another on the 3rd. They came out a few more times, took the trap down, sealed it up, and charged me way way way less than they could have for it. Just really, great guys, great service, and a great deal. Awesome experience. Highly recommend them if you have any extermination/exclusion/wildlife issues or needs.

We had squirrels in our attic. They were very knowledgeable, caught two, and we still have traps waiting to see if any more are found. Price was extremely reasonable from what I found in my research. Only negative is that we haven't gotten any contact back from them regarding status or plans to fix entry point(s), but then I'm supposed to call when traps have animals.

Description of Work: Removed bats from the attic and around the chimney: required several trips and a screened funnel they they could exit from but not return to. CH was very knowledgeable and professional. he explained exactly what needed to be done, and that it might take awhile because the bats are not as active in cold weather as they are in warm. I would definitely use Triangle Wildlife Removal again. (hopefully I wont need to). We had a squirrel issue in our attic. The team came to the house as agreed right at the appointment time we had made on time, inspected the house, then told me where the animals were getting in and out, how they were going to trap them and were clear on all fees for the estimate and price per catch/removal. For the next 5 days they checked their traps and if an animal was found or not they left a daily report of what kind, size and s** of animal caught each day. After no catches on Saturday they told me the traps would be coming down on Tuesday, allowing me to arrange for repair on the area they were entering the house. About 3 days later I received the invoice that matched their daily report. The service was done professionally, price was exactly as expected, no mess, no hassle, no issues. I recommend them based on their performance (A) in all the categories above: price, quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism.

Tad Bassett was very helpful and informative when I placed the initial call. He provided a clear explanation of services as well as an accurate cost estimate during call. He was able to schedule the inspection and screen installation within 3 business days. Derek (lead tech) was prompt, courteous, and professional. The price was fair and the service was great. We would definitely use this provider again and will recommend them to our friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: Two of our neighbors had bats so we wanted to have our property inspected and prevention measures implemented. Tech inspected both attic spaces, cleaned guano from interior screens on 2 vents, and installed exterior vent covers/screens on 5 gable vents.
