He was patient in explaining the problem to us and gave us a very fair price for the solution. We appreciate that he does not over treat the problem by excessively spraying. We highly recommend Sustainable Pest Systems.

The amount spent is an annual cost that includes the initial inspection, and quarterly followup for specific pest problems. We had a problem of mice entering from small openings on the outside into the walls/floorboards, as well as in our unfinished rooms during the winter. Jeremiah was very good at finding the openings around the exterior of the house and sealed them, which took care of the mice entering the walls. In addition, he put mouse bait stations in the unfinished rooms, and returned after 2 weeks to check them. What I liked about his service is that he seems to be able to discover the source of the problem, and address it without using toxic chemicals that could harm our dog. He is also super-friendly and has a wealth of pest knowledge. We recently had a quarterly followup visit from one of Jeremiah's employees, and he provided great service too - he checked all the bait stations, and because he noticed that we had a lot of spiders on the outside of the house, he cleaned off the spider webs, and treated the areas around our doors.

They did find some remaining bedbugs. They also used a dog to sniff out the bugs. He showed us one, so we knew they were still there. They are going to come back and do a heat treatment.

Jeremiah was very knowledgable and professional. He rearranged his schedule to accommodate our needs and was able to give us an estimate the same day. We received info from the office ahead of time to prep for the service. He arrived on time and was very informative. We have not had any problems with fleas since then. I would definitely recommend this company.

Jeremiah is a font of knowledge about all kinds of pests, including bats and bedbugs. He explained all the details of the work to be performed, the nature of the infestation, the nesting habits of bats, etc. He arrived promptly for both the free estimate and the actual work to be performed. He cleaned up the guano, treated the contaminated surfaces and screened the eaves to prevent future infestation. He worked diligently and cheerfully. I am fully satisfied with his work.

Jeremiah was great! He came out for the initial visit within a day or two of calling him and he was on time, professional, friendly and helpful. He gave us a bunch of good tips on things we could do ourselves and when he came to perform the work we agreed upon he was thorough and did a great job. We will definitely use this company again.

They were good, there was only one thing I thought was insufficient. They wouldn't get up on a ladder and spray up where spiders hang on windows because of the danger, they didn't want to get spray blown back in their face which is reasonable. However, it would have been nice if they had sprayed the spiders in the windows, too, but no big deal. They were nice people, they did a good job and they were thorough inside and outside. I thought it would be more expensive. They called quite quick and came when they said they would. They were extremely professional and I have a contract so I'll be using them all year.

I will absolutely use SPS again for any future bug problems! It is refreshing to know there are companies out there who live up to their reputation. Sustainable Pest Systems has made my house roach free, with non-toxic, effective treatments! I highly recommend this company for any bug problems. You won't be disappointed!

Jeremiah came over to my somewhat roach and ant infested house after kindly offering me advice for over 2 weeks on how to manage my pest problem on my own. After many hours spent chasing critters with towels and lamenting over their inevitable return, I ran into Jeremiah again at my work (local coffee shop). I told him the situation and how it wasn't getting better...at all. As a novice when it comes to pest-related problems, I was in need of serious help. Jeremiah gave me his card and told me he would be able to come over soon, and soon meant the same day that I called him! He met me at my house right on schedule and ready to go. He did a thorough survey of all rooms and asked questions related to pest whereabouts to help determine the extent of the infestation and appropriate action. After he looked over the kitchen (behind the fridge, under the stove and all the other places that I just didn't get to), he went into my swelteringly hot attic and looked in all the corners. It was 95 degrees outside...must have been over 105 in the attic. He came back and told me the deal: I had cockroaches. Jeremiah sat down with me and explained what kind of bugs I had, then went over his strategy for dealing with them. He was very informative, answered all my questions and assured me that my cockroach problem would soon be over. After laying out several traps (all of which were eco-friendly and always the least-toxic alternative, a huge concern for me since I have 3 dogs), he told me that it would take a few days for everything to kick in. He then went over time-lines for the traps and treatments he performed (it would last the rest of the summer - awesome!) before offering to do a walk around the outside of my house. He inspected our crawlspace and the whole perimeter, making notes about what he found. After his survey, we decided that a low-impact spray (another environmentally friendly product) would really help with keeping new pests out. After our chat, he sprayed around the house, we talked again briefly, I thanked him for his quick work and he left. I kid you not, I haven't seen a cockroach since. And the slight ant problem in the kitchen? Nope. No more. Living in NC for the last few years, I've grown accustomed to these seasonal bursts of bugs; but after they started invading my kitchen on a large scale, I knew it was time to get our problem checked out. Jeremiah was the friendliest, most informative and thorough service person that has ever done any work at my house. He's awesome. He also supports and uses environmentally conscious products AND they work. Double Awesome. Call him. Today. He will make you happy to cook in your kitchen again.

It was a smooth and easy experience. We discussed the situation over the phone. Jeremiah came by when he said he would, was extremely professional and easy to talk to. He got right to work. His first treatment was done just before the mosquitoes begin to take over. They never showed up. He's now been back to do a second canvasing and they are still non existent. We have maybe seen 4 or 5 all summer! In previous years we would be mobbed as soon as we walked outside. The flea experience was the same. Very punctual and professional. That was two step process and completely cured the problem. We felt completely comfortable with him working in our home and doing what was necessary to rid us of the infestation. We had heard that fleas were very difficult to remove but his treatment worked wonderfully.

I found working with SPS to be a great experience for someone who is looking to effectively address a pest problem but in a safe and non-toxic manner. They were really professional, quick and responsive in getting out to perform the estimate and the services. SPS is a small company where the owner really cares about his customers and he does a lot of work throughout the Triangle area. I was referred to him through a friend who was extremely happy with his service (and also has the same concerns with her baby and dog) and I would highly recommend him to others. They are trustworthy to take the smartest approach possible (which may take a little longer on their end) but is safer and more effective than just blindly spraying down your house with chemicals. I also found the price to be fair. It is a year contract and he will come back quarterly and reevaluate, set baits or other necessary measurements for maintenance. But if we have any problems in the meantime, they'll come back (free of charge, as it's included in the yearly contract) and take care of it. This is the most sophisticated pest management company I've come across as far as being extremely knowledgeable on any pest related issue and the smart/savvy approach they take for more discerning customers. They also have a very tech savvy customer service, as I believe in the near future your account will be available to you online so you can track past services and make payments. Just makes the whole experience easier and more transparent as you can always go back and look at exactly what tactics and/or chemicals were used if you can't remember.

I am really pleased with the services that Jeremiah Smith at Sustainable Pest Systems (SPS) has been providing for us. He was recommended by a neighbor...when I contacted him through email, he responded promptly. He was on time for our consultation, which I felt was very thorough, and he gave us a detailed description and 'plan of attack' for our rodent problem. We don't have a full-blown infestation, thank goodness, but one rat or mouse is one too many! Jeremiah returned to set up rat traps and secure areas around the house where rodents were able to get into our crawlspace. He returned each day for four days to check and clean the traps. I didn't ask him what types of traps he used because the visual would have bothered me. He did offer to let me see a photograph of our 'king rat' though...which I declined. :) Also on this visit Jeremiah mentioned the many mosquitoes he saw that were no doubt attacking him...they attack us every time we set foot outside. He offered to spray the area and my husband was quick to agree. We've only had one treatment and the difference is amazing. We actually had a BBQ last weekend...no bites! We have decided to continue with SPS since we also have mice and disgusting house crickets living in our crawlspace. Just in case, Jeremiah is going to check our attic spaces as well. Jeremiah is personable, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Although SPS charges more than some other pest services I contacted, in this case I feel we definitely got what we paid for. Other services charge nearly the same to simply poison and leave the rodents, or pressure you into a monthly service agreement. I feel like we were given options and more importantly, that our rodents will be gone...permanently. Life would be so much easier if every service provider was this focused on customer service!

They came in and did the initial evaluation of the building (three levels) and gave us a very fair price on regular pest management services. They come at scheduled intervals and monitor any pest activity. Recently, as the weather gets warmer, we have had a slight increase in drain/ fruit flies. They pinpointed the problem areas that were serving as breeding areas for the flies, advised us on how to fix the issues and treated the areas. They even followed up several times without even being called. The flies are pretty upset now and finding a home somewhere else!

It was an educational experience and took very little time. Jeremiah came in, introduced himself and described the process and toured all the rooms of the house. He then brought in his dog Scout (looked like Eddie on the old sitcom "Frazier"). He took Scout, on leash, to each room where he quickly sniffed around and jumped with excitement whenever he smelled either a live bedbug or live bedbug eggs (he is trained to ignore dead ones). Jeremiah marked where the dog had keyed on bedbugs with a piece of masking tape. After the inspection, he took the dog to the van and returned to answer any questions for me. At my request, he gave me some very well-reasoned and independent advice about treatment options, then left, all within an hour of arrival. I found him knowledgeable, personable and professional.

The owner Jeremiah Smith, was both punctual and professional. He and his dog Scout performed an inspection of our home and included a demonstration with live bedbugs (in a screened vial so they couldn't escape) so that we could see how the process worked and be assured that the dog was able to find bedbugs. I would definitely use LogosK9 again and will recommend this company to anyone and everyone that has bedbug concerns (scares!).
