It went very well from the initial meeting to discuss what would work best for my space to the final installment. I am more than pleased with the final results and plan to call them again to put some pull out shelves in my linen closet.

The installer came and did a great job. Took very little time to turn my pantry into something wonderful!! He was very professional and cleaned up his mess, which was not much, but still he cleaned up!!!! I have enjoyed this pantry so much since it has all glide out shelves...you will not imagine what I found in there!!!! It's all custom work, beautifully done!

We have frequently been disappointed by businesses who make promises and fail to deliver on them, especially in doing home repairs/improvements since moving into our new house. One recent exception is having glide-out drawers installed in our kitchen, making every inch of storage space easily accessible. Now I don't have to get down on my belly to reach items at the back of the bottom shelf! The company is Shelf Genie, co-owned (franchise) by Dan Powell. He was great to work with, despite our putting him "on hold" for over a year. We were wary of removing the center stile in our new cabinets( and void the warranty) only to find out that indeed Dan was correct that these were not needed. Since we had cabinets that were made so that the doors could be adjusted very close together we did not even need the stile to be reattached to the L door. The installer, Joe Mast, was knowledgeable, efficient, respectful, and MORE prompt than promised! The work was done very quickly but carefully. He practically had to build a cabinet in the bathroom cabinet for the center drawers since there were no side panels to attach the much more efficient rails for the full extension drawer. The use of the drawer beneath the electric cook-top was a real gain since there was only a false front to the cabinet before. The addition of the pull out garbage can on the R side of the sink cabinet has been a major improvement to the function of the kitchen. We have so much more space now with the full use of the width of pull out shelves that we might have to ask neighbors to bring over extra kitchen tools to fill the space. I am certain that this will add considerable value to the house at the time of resale. We don't really have any way to compare the cost of this addition to what would have been the extra cost if these features had been available in the top of the line Merrilat cabinets. Of course the extra joy working in an efficient kitchen is priceless!

Overall very good experience. The sales rep was not pushy at all, and the work was quick and timely.

Representative from shelf genie came over initially to see what had to be done in my pantry. She measured and gave me her estimate of how many shelves were needed and the cost. The cost is a bit high I think but considering the awkward layout of my pantry it was well worth it. The installer came several days later to take exact measurements. It took several weeks for the drawers to be ordered and received and then on June 1 the installer came back and installed the shelves in about an hour and a half. We went through all of my food and measured each shelf accordingly. I absolutely love these shelves I think it was well worth the money. My pantry was very deep and things were always getting lost in the back but now I just pull out a shelf and I can find anything I want very quickly. If I could I would have these drawers in all of my cabinets. Maybe in the future.

Everything went very well. The representative came out to my house and measured and we went over some options. She later came back with drawings and price estimates. She showed me samples of the slide hardware and the slide outs. I considered having the whole pantry done but was under money constraints. As it was, it was a big purchase for us to the do the four cabinets. Also, I had considered doing a blind corner slide out for the blind corner cabinet we had but in whittling down our costs, we decided to just put in a regular one and forgo using that extra storage space. The thinking was that since we would be making a lot of the space we had so much more efficient, we wouldn't miss that space tucked away in the blind corner and we were right! Having these slide out shelves installed has changed the way we use our kitchen to an incredible degree! When you can slide everything out of the cabinet, you can see it! It is so convenient. No more crouching down to find things. And the sliders work smooth as butter. We have never had a problem pulling them out--it is effortless. And there are bumpers on the edges so that it is also not a problem to close the doors. One of the biggest impacts has been having the garbage can in a cabinet. Before, there was never a place for it and the dogs would get into it. So, we had it on the other side of the kitchen and up on a chair. Now, its right behind me when I am at the sink. It was challenge finding a can that would fit the small space. I found one but it was larger at the top than at the bottom and so that upper part would keep it from closing. Their carpenter/installer came back and cut out a silhouette of the upper part of the can that is still hidden by the door and the can works perfectly in the slide out. There was also enough room in back of the can in the slide out to store garbage bags so things are more convenient than ever! I love it!

The convenience has changed my life. It’s helped make organization easier and everything is accessible. The installer knew what he was doing and was very skilled knowledgeable about the different grades of wood. The final price was accurate from the initial estimate and the quality is amazing. It is pricey but worth every cent. I have recommended them to friends and family.

Their shelves have made more efficient use of space and things are now extremely accessible. They’re excellent and are a lot of fun and are creative. They were professional and cleaned up well after themselves and I’ve recommended their services to others. It took two days for the job; a half hour to measure and a second visit to install (approximately 3 hrs.)

They did a great job. It’s one of the best home improvements I’ve ever done. The product makes it very easy to get to the hard to reach areas. I wish we had done it years earlier. The drawers glide easily and don't get stuck. The installer was friendly enough and was very efficient.

Don came initially and spent quite a bit of time looking at the kitchen set up and offering suggestions and options. We opted to have three out of six of our existing lower cabinets done to see if we felt the convenience was worth the money and to also see if the improved organization would allow us the flexibility of having one cabinent converted to the trash unit. The drawers arrived within the promised timeframe. Joe was even willing to install them early on Saturday morning. His sister-in-law offered to babysit! We felt that was excellent service. We have been pleased with Shelfgenie and plan on having the other lower cabinets done as well. The only suggestion for improvement I could offer would be a little more transparency in terms of the pricing. We were told upfront what the price was per cabinet but never how that price was derived. I asked the question but felt the answer was still very obscure. This,I think, is not the best business practice. It should be readily apparent to customers how the price is calculated particularly with something like Shelfgenie which is very expensive.

Our overall experience was excellent and we are very pleased with the result. We were informed of the time it would take to have the drawers built and they came in right on schedule. It only took the installer half a day to remove the old shelves and install the glide outs. The process created very little mess. We chose the classic model and feel that they are well worth the additional cost. Even though we ?lost? two shelves for the trash bin, we have still been able to realize more usable space than before and are now able to keep things like the food processor in the kitchen instead of on a shelf in the laundry room. After we had them for about a week we realized that the trash bin gets opened and closed about 62 gazillion times a day and we got tired of having to push it carefully up to the stop every time. So we had it retrofitted with the soft close rails and they work like a dream. All you have to do is shove it so it gets close and then it closes the last inch or so by itself. Awesome!! Also, we elected to have the drawers in the pantry not full width so the door does not need to be opened all the way to pull one out and are glad we did it that way.

The experience went better than I ever could’ve hoped. The sales lady who came out was most helpful in deciding what to do and what not to do. She didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need and was looking out for what would be most beneficial to me, which was impressive. Their cost was on the high end, but the quality is just superior, including the construction. It’s made to last and won’t ever have to be replaced.

The experience was mediocre. I can’t find bins that fit into the drawers that are under the sink. We were supposed to get so much more storage space, but in reality, it’s not that much more different. It is more convenient, but the storage is the same. The people were nice and knowledgeable, but in the end, I don’t feel like I got value for my money.

They did a really good job overall. They showed up when they were supposed to and their estimates were right on. The job turned out to be a little more expensive than we thought, but I love the work they did and we had nothing to compare the price with. I would recommend them!

They’re excellent! It changed my every-day life in the kitchen. Everything is now available to me in the cupboards and they probably close to doubled my space as well. The gentleman who installed the shelves is really talented. It was done beautifully! It was a nice company to deal with, and they had great customer service. It wasn’t inexpensive, but they did a great job overall.

The experience was great overall! I show the shelves to everybody, since I really do love them. I have a very old home, and my pantry was very deep so the shelves make the back of the pantry accessible. It’s a little pricey, but the work is wonderful.

The experience was excellent overall. I thought they were very professional; they knew what they were doing and worked cooperatively with me to make sure to get the drawers in the right place and the right size. They did a very good job and I’m pleased with the work!

ShelfGenie is a brand of product. They do pull outs and search for your cabinets mainly in the kitchen but it could be other places too. I thought it was really good and it's a great product. They did exactly what they said they would do. They were here exactly when they said they would be here. They completely cleaned up everything. When they installed you, they never even have known that they were here. I think it's definitely worth the price. The quality of work was very good.

The process was simple. The gentleman who came out was professional and a nice. He came up with a plan that wasn't generic. It was customized to what we wanted. We didn't end up using them. The estimate was rather high.
