Schwartz Plumbing Company

I called this company after another plumbing company botched some work. Instead of having to replace and replumb my entire kitchen sink (as the other plumbers advised), this plumber was able to simply replace the faucet. He also advised that none of our pipes needed to be replaced. Very prompt and professional service.

They're pretty good and responsive. They are reliable.

So-so. They always found more than expected but never exceeded expectations.

I was pleasantly surprised when I called for the appointment and was told that the technician could come at 9:00 the next morning. I then asked does that mean anytime between 9:00 and 11:00 like most services. They said No, expect him at 9:00. The technician actually arrived early! I explained the problem and we tried to make it happen again, but couldn't. He took a quick look at the water heater and knew exactly what the problem was. He explained that the noise was from protection from pressure build up and while bothersome and could be fixed, it was probably not worth it. Many plumbers would not have said that but would have instead fixed the problem and charged at lot of money.

I scheduled an appointment and then needed to change it the next day due to problems with the sink installation. The Schwartz rep who made appointments was very understanding and gave me options for new appointment times. She was also able to estimate the cost of the service, giving me an expected cost range ($250-$350). Appointments are made in 1-hour windows, so you know when the plumber will arrive and don't have to wait around all day. The plumber arrived five minutes early and was ready to work. The faucet looks and works great.

He was informative and knowledgeable concerning our problem. It turns out it was not a plumbing issue.

Ross was on time and assessed the two leaks. He estimated it would cost $125 to $150 to fix them both. He seemed very knowledgeable and fixed the leaks in about 1.5 hours. Both leaks seem to be fine. I would use Schwartz again.

Larry first came out and told us about the Noritz water heater and shared information about how it compared to the traditional hot water heater with a storage tank. The work order was scheduled and the work was done by Larry and Gary who were very professional and knowledgeable. I love this new system and highly recommend it and Schwartz Plumbing Co.

We called and described the problem to the service rep on the phone prior to making an appointment to have the problem fixed. The person on the phone seemed positive that this was a problem they could fix. When the service person arrived (a different person than we spoke with on the phone), we were told that they could not attempt to fix the problem because the doors of the shower are made of glass and that working with glass is too much of a liability for them. We received no help and still had to pay $57 for a 10 minute chat with the service person who told us that they could not fix the problem.

I am very satisfied with the work done. Mike was professional, neat, and the unit works without any problems.

They showed up at the very beginning of the 1 hour appointment window and performed the work quickly and neatly. Mike took the time to explain signs that I should look for down the road that would indicate a more serious failure. Very prompt and courteous. Price was fair.

Schwartz Plumbing was very responsive and able to get somebody over the same day. Not only did the service guy make it on time, but he was also able to get additional help immediately when he was replacing a portion of the leaking pipe.

Everything was outstanding. They came the day I called and exactly when they said they would. The guy listened carefully to everything I described (including concerns about other potential issues), then did the job quickly and professionally and took the time to explain exactly what he had done and to answer my other questions. In my mind, it was an unqualified success of a service encounter. I've also had other experiences with this company, including new water heaters and re-routed plumbing lines, and every experience has been exactly as excellent as I could have hoped. I give them an unqualified thumbs-up.

Larry arrived on time and assessed a number of areas in my house with water spots. After a thorough evaluation, he said he believed the problems were related to water infiltration from the outside and not a plumbing issue. Since I am having my house resided in the next few months, he recommended I inspect the areas with water spots when the siding is removed.

Wonderful. Alex was on time and worked quickly and neatly. He left the kitchen and bath in good shape. He was very personable. I will definitely use him again. Highly recommended.

They were good! The plumber repaired the toilet and on time as requested.

Larry came and did the original estimate and suspected more problems, such as multiple stops that would need fixing (given the age of the house). He spent a lot of time looking carefully at all of our plumbing, and his estimate was about $2,000. He explained in detail each component of his estimate. When the actual work was done, Kevin came out and as he was working, realized that our pipes and stops were in better shape than originally thought. He did all the work that we needed done and the total bill was a pleasant surprise, about half of the estimate! He was efficient and polite, and we are very pleased with the work that was done. He too took a good bit of time to discuss with us exactly what was and wasn't done and the reasons for both.

Great. Repairman showed up in the time frame planned for and completed the work in a timely fashion.

It was tough going at first because the water heater is in a small closet- 23.5" x 23.5" with a 19" entrance. At first they could not find a water heater that would fit in the closet, but with some research by the owner Stuart they were able to find a water heater that would fit, although it would require an Apollo retrofit kit. Regardless, prior to finding a water heater that would fit, I was looking at costs of more than $2000 and a lot of work to relocate it somewhere else. I am completely satisfied with the level of expertise and the final cost.

I called for two things, the back-flow valve overflowing on an outside faucet and rust in the hot water. They fixed the faucet at no charge and gave me an estimate on replacing the hot water heater, which is part of an Apollo heat pump water heater system. I did want to get other estimates, but each estimate from Service Experts and Rural were $80-90+ just to estimate repair. I got the estimate from Schwartz at no charge and the repair at no charge (only took a couple minutes to fix).

The two men assigned to do the work arrived when they were supposed to, made the connections, and had the work completed in only three hours. However, in using a trench digging machine to dig the trench in my yard, where the water leak had saturated the ground, they attempted to drive their trencher up a steep grade, where it got stuck and left deep tire tracks approximately four to five feet long and about four to five inches deep in my yard. They moved their trench digger to another location and dug their trench there without doing further damage to my yard. One of the men on this job said that his company wasn't responsible for such damage. When the inspector cleared the work, they returned and covered the water line.

We would have been nagged about the "discovery" of the crack had we not specifically consulted Angie's List to find a well-regarded, honest firm. The plumber, Ross, arrived on time, was friendly and polite and very informative. We had the choice of buying a toilet of our choice or doing nothing, or buying and installing the toilet Ross had with him. Again, the thought of being manipulated into buying his toilet did occur, but because of the firm's apparent reputation and as a convenience to us, we agreed to terms on his replacement toilet. We feel confident that the work was done right, that the cost was fair, and that we would use the firm again if the need arose in the future.

John the plumber was on time and was very courteous and professional. The only problem was the receptionist, forget to book the appointment. If I did not call to confirm the work, there would have been an unnecessary delay.
