They left big clumps of dirt in the yard. I complained and they took care of it immediately. They were were very responsive. I would definitely recommend them to others.

They came out as quickly as possible and did a very good job. They are priced a little high - I would say about average - but they are good plumbers and they are worth the price.
Description of Work: I used Schwartz Plumbing to unclog a pipe. They had to take a pipe out, jam something in and break up all the junk.

Very well. I called in the morning and he came in the afternoon. He had to use a lot of our water to fill up his tank before he could begin pumping water through the line. I thought he would have brought his own water. But anyway it went well, and I would use them again.
Description of Work: He unclogged the drain line leading from the patio to the street. The line was plugged with roots and dirt and the water would not flow out from the patio quickly and water stood in the well. He used a pressure pump and pumped water through the line under pressure and it unclogged the line. Now the water flows off the patio and out the drain quickly.

I called on Tuesday and they were able to schedule for Thursday the same week. The person that came was early and had to run out for parts. He was professional and pleasant to work with. The repair was quick and efficient. The price seemed a little high for the amount of time that was spent on repair but the job was done well.

Overall the service was excellent. The plumbers arrived on time and did exactly what we asked.
Description of Work: We live in a 50+ year old house with the original cast iron drum traps in each of the baths. We called Schwartz to help us cut the trap out and install a drain trap in the bathtub. They needed to crawl under our house and cut the trap off and add new pipe. The whole process took about two hours.

Called in the afternoon and got scheduled for 9:00 the next morning. They called just before 9 the next morning to let me know they were running a little late, showed up at 9:15 First try to repair the leak was not successful, so he had to run over to Ace hardware to get a part to replace the coupling. After installing new parts the leak was fixed. Took about 90 minutes total. I realize plumbers are expensive, but $170 seems a bit much for a simple fix like that

Crawling around in my crawl space, I accidentally bumped a PVC drain pipe that fit into a larger cast iron drain. The PVC fitting broke off right where it connected to the iron drain. I wasn't able to remove the PVC fitting, but while trying, I must have loosened old rusted iron fittings which began to leak. I called Schwartz at about 9:00 AM, and they were at the house by noon. The plumber reassured me that he could fix the problem relatively quickly. He ended up replacing a big section of the old rusted cast iron drain, and replacing it with PVC. He was there for a little over an hour, did a great job, and was very professional. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. I was expecting it to be much higher. Based on this one experience, I would highly recommend Schwartz Plumbing.

I was very pleased. Not only was the company responsive on a Saturday during the holidays, but the plumber actually called to check that it was OK to come early. The plumber quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair. I think it maybe took 30 minutes. He also took time to show me how to bleed the system and recommended an additional repair to keep the polybutene piping from bursting at inopportune moments.
Description of Work: I had a leak around my water heater, which is part of an Apollo heating system. It turns out one of the supply lines was leaking. The repairman replaced this section of pipe and also showed me how to bleed the system to get ride of residue and make the heat work more efficiently.

I was required to perform a de-winterization of the home to be purchased, before the home inspection. Not knowing the scope of work involved, I contacted Schwartz based on good reviews on Angie's List, to provide me a quote, which they did. When the plumber came in, the work itself was extremely trivial, and took less than 15 minutes to complete. Even though they did what I asked for, and they charged what they quoted, they should have advised me on the phone of the content to be performed, or quote a number consistent with the work being done.

We are remodeling a bathroom at the back of our house, and had to replace a leaking 50 year old faucet in the main bathroom before we could start using it. Great - we had ordered the toilets via the net, but needed them installed. Chris did a great job, was done before the time we were quoted. Removed the old caulk, kept everything nice and tidy for us in the work area. We would definitely use this plumbing service again - and ask to have Chris come out to help us. (Stuart was a huge help prior to the install via email). Everything went nice, clean, and smooth. Just the way I like it.

Work went very well. I was planning on doing the work myself, but I'm glad I decided not to and decided to call Schwartz. Some bolts were stuck and had to be cut off, and the removal and installation were a bit tricky. The installer also replaced some parts in the toilet and plumbing pipes, so that the toilet would be nice and tight and wouldn't leak on my new wood floors.

Discovered old water heater was leaking on a Thursday. Tried to locate a compatible replacement for self install. Could not locate desired water heater in stock, but did pick up literature about various tankless water heaters. Located Schwartz Plumbing from previously received advertisements, and researched on Angie's List. On Monday, called Schwartz Plumbing and scheduled appointment for site inspection and estimate, set for 3:00 pm on Tuesday. Mr. Stuart Schwartz arrived early, examined the site, utilities, and advised that he would send me an estimate via email. I received the email estimate early Wednesday morning. I called Schwartz Plumbing to accept the estimate and schedule the work. The scheduler advised that they could do the work starting Thursday, 10:00 am. The first workman arrived Thursday morning at 10:20 am. He removed the old water heater, then broke for lunch. After lunch, the original workman was joined by another, as well as the electrician. They ran a larger (1") propane line to accommodate the new Noritz tankless water heater, connected the water lines, and completed the electrical wiring. They then tested the installation. Everything worked fine. I believe that they were all finished by 4:30 pm.

The gentleman came out and surveyed the situation but, could not do the job because he did not have the right equipment. He did tell me what had to be done and the estimated cost of the job. He inspected my toilets and sinks to see if everything was okay inside. I recommend this man for his honesty and forwardness. I have used him before that is why I called him first and he recommended another company to use.
