Provider showed up on time and they were very friendly. They removed my old kitchen faucet and then installed my new one in about 80 minutes. Great job, our new faucet looks and works great. Only had to pay 10.00 more out of pocket because the service cost was 10.00 more than the deal covered.

Service was fantastic from start to finish. The woman I spoke to when I called was polite, courteous, and was even concerned about when it would be convenient for me to have them come out. Appointment was scheduled for 630pm the same day (love that they have evening hours for no extra charge!). Sergey arrived promptly and was incredibly polite, professional, and friendly. He did a great job with the repairs, took the time to explain it to me in layman's terms, and was pleasant throughout the entire appointment. He even pointed out that my sewer line cap was broken. I knew that it was broken (I mowed over it with the lawnmower), but didn't know that I should worry about it. I will be replacing it this weekend. Fantastic experience overall. I will be sure to recommend Roto Rooters to all of my friends, family and colleagues.

I think they are unprofessional. He even told me no one wanted to come out to my house. He wrote my number down wrong. They gave me the incorrect window of time to arrive and never showed up. Their customer service is horrible and I never want to deal with them again. I usually don't complain, but I only have one toilet and I would appreciate to get the job done after paying so much money.

My initial appointment was for Friday at 5:30pm, the plumber arrived at 9:15pm. This was not an urgent job so we rescheduled for Monday. He showed up on time and gave me a quote that was much higher than I had hoped for. By the time he had completed the work though, he had spent several hours on removing some very stubborn old parts. Once the parts were removed, the replacement parts were on in a jiffy. Overall, job well done. I used the $250 for $79 coupon off Angie's list which helped with the price, but it was still a bigger number than I had wanted. So, a final rating of Good. *** Seven months later, the faucet is leaking again. Not sure what to do this time.

It was great. The guy that came out was extremely nice. He isolate the issue pretty quickly and fixed it. He was very pleasant to work with.

When I ran into problems trying to replace a broken shutoff on my toilet, I called Roto-Rooter at approx 5pm on Sunday afternoon. Sergey arrived at my home by around 8pm. After replacing the shutoff he discovered that the PVC pipe had a small crack in it that was leaking and needed to be replaced. Since I had him here I asked him to look at the shower control which has been dripping for some time. He pulled the cartridge but it was too late to get parts so he had to return this morning. He was able to get the water on for long enough to allow us to run the water we would need for the evening and he arrived back at my home at 8am as promised. The job was completed and cleaned up by about 9:45. The job was completed promptly, professionally and without trying to charge me for anything that I did not need. I would not hesitate to call Roto-Rooter again and will happily & highly recommend them to anyone needing a plumber.

As I mentioned earlier it went well. Removed one toilet to get to the appropriate line and then cleaned out that line as well as another to the city line. He was here for three hours. I factor in a bit for competency and the reputation of the company so I don't have to call to have it done again. With that in mind I feel that the price was reasonable.

Very well done. Explained things clearly, put down drop cloths included thick one where equipment would sit in floor, successfully fixed the problem, tested it thoroughly, gave advice for future and cleaned up completely. About all you could ask for. I DID use a coupon on Angie's List that saved me $171, otherwise the cost of service would have been that much higher.

The woman I talked to was very nice and apologetic that she couldn't help.

Good morning! I purchased a coupon for plumbing services from Angie's List. I was waiting for another contractor to finish a job before I used that coupon. Well it turns out that the contractor who was in the house already called a plumber on his own accord and tacked it on to the bill! Nice of him, but it renders my Angie's List coupon moot! So the bottom line is that I don't need my coupon any more. Could I please get a refund on it? Thank you and have a great day!

The first person that came out did not have a drain small enough but they were happy to schedule and send someone with the right equipment the following morning. They were able to snake the shower but suggested several options for really fixing the problem...I was a little confused as the two men that came both told me different solutions--that would be my only complaint. The message didn't seem consistent but perhaps that was the difference between their training or experience level. I'm not entirely sure.

David Frey (Service Technician 229) and his assistant, Bob, were exceptional in their ability to analyze the leak problems and resolve them. They were very punctual, called ahead to let me know they were on their way, and dealt very effectively with the major challenges they faced. I am embarrassed to admit that one of those challenges involved getting the printed-out coupon at the conclusion of their service. As a relatively "green" Angie's List subscriber, I didn't realize I should've had it printed out. They were great about it. I'd work with the two of them again in a heartbeat. They're an exceptional team.

The drain was cleared okay, but the technician spent at least 10 minutes on the phone which delayed getting the job completed. The normal charge for this 30 minute service call was $320, which is outrageous, but I selected this provider because they were offering a discount which brought the price down to $150.

Wanted $240 to replace small plastic ring that broke on their own faucet, installed just over a year ago. Paid him $69 to go away. Neighbor offered to fix. Found part for $10 in Lowes Home Imp. & fixed in ab 1/2 hr.

Extremely Great! The 1st technition to come out did not have the parts needed. He phoned in back-up, and within 2 hours our water was back on. We only thought the issue was the main shut-off, turned out to be both the shut-off and pressure valves had frozen. Since there is a 2-hour minimum charge, he was able to put in both parts in way under the time.

Regarding the actual work that was done, the service technician, whose name was Gary, was excellent. The only issue that arose had nothing to do with Gary?s work, but related to the mishandling of specific information that I had provided to the job scheduler three days in advance. Gary arrived in the middle of the two-hour time window that the company scheduler had committed to, listened courteously to my complaint (about the mishandling of the advance information I had provided), apologized on behalf of the company for the error, and promptly set about to address the blockage, which he resolved by: 1) testing to determine the extent of the blockage by running water in the sink; 2) double-checking under the house to verify that the line in question was configured as I had described; 3) discovered that there was a clean out in the area under the kitchen sink that I did not realize existed; 4) routed out the 2-inch branch drain line from the kitchen sink clean-out point all the way to where it joined the main drain line under the middle of the house, a distance of at least 30 feet; 5) applied a commercial-grade green-friendly de-greaser product; 6) tested thoroughly by running water repeatedly at the sink afterwards to make certain the problem was resolved; 7) tidied up afterwards in an exemplary manner; and 8) answered several general questions that my wife and I had for him during the course of his work. Gary was so good that if we decide to use this company again ? and we probably will ? we would specifically request him. As for the scheduling mishandling issue, I had told the scheduler that the kitchen drain line was the weak point in our plumbing, that we had had to have this line routed out twice before, and that both times the technician we had used had climbed up on our roof to run the router down through the vent so as to avoid having to work in our kitchen. The scheduler then asked if our house was one story or two. I replied it was one story, and that I could touch the edge of the roof while standing on our back deck. I was very specific that I preferred that the routing work be done from the vent on the roof and, while the scheduler did not promise this, he said absolutely nothing about any policy that would prohibit it. The work was to be done on February 7 between 10:00 and 12:00. At 10:45, I got a call from a company representative saying that a plumber was now available and could arrive in a few minutes. However, the representative added that he was sorry but that unfortunately the note the job scheduler had made about my request that the work be done from the roof had been overlooked, and that it was against company policy to have their plumbers climb on the roof. But if company policy prohibits this, then why was nothing was said to me by the scheduler about this policy when I had clearly stated my preference? And why instead did the scheduler simply ask whether my house was one story or two, leading me to believe that, since it was one story, routing from the roof could be done? In spite of the above, though, my wife and I are inclined to give this company another go, which we would not be inclined to do if 1) Gary had not been so good and 2) we had not been given a 30% discount, which made the price for the work very reasonable as such work goes these days.

It went well, the part was much more than I expected but the professional suggested a less expensive solution which the mark of true integrity. Thank you!

I had a sewer back up. Everyone was very helpful. What they charge is in line with other plumbers but it just seems steep to me for 2 hours of work.

It actually went well. When I actually called them to come and check, they weren't able to do anything because it was questionable whether or not I had a water dripping problem. We really couldn't find that the water was still dripping so they weren't able to actually take any steps which to me is a good thing because they didn't just come out and go for the motions of doing something and just say okay we took care of it. In that regard, they were quite honest. They really want to cost me any expense that wasn't necessary and said to just keep an eye on it and if it looks like it starts up again, just call and we'll come back and see what we need to do. They were here the same day that I took out the purchase. They were very punctual in responding to my purchase, they called me the same day that I made the purchase and made every effort to set up an appointment that day because I thought I had a potential problem that could result in substantial expense. I bought the package the morning of the 31st and they were out her by noon.

Nothing was done, only an estimate left and tech was not certain about pricing...not a good feeling from such a national company!

The technician, Doug, was a really nice guy. On time and professional, and left the inside of the kitchen cabinet under the sink cleaner than when he started. I told him my bathroom sink, which drains slowly, might also need to be snaked. Rather than just going ahead and doing it and charging me for it, he ran some water and, based on how it drained, determined that the clog was probably in the trap, which is something I can take care of myself. He was really helpful in showing me how to get the stopper out, and put it back in, after I clean the trap. He also helped with a small leak where I had newly replaced the trap under the kitchen sink, at no charge. I purchased a deal from Roto-Rooter ($79 for $250 worth of plumbing labor), so in all paid $150 for a $320 service. The reason for the B grade on responsiveness is that the Rapid Connect guarantee said I would hear from them on or before Tuesday, so when I hadn't heard from them by 4pm Tuesday afternoon, I went ahead and called. (If I'd realized that I didn't need to wait for them to contact me through Angie's List, I would have called a lot sooner.) Once I was in touch with them, however, they were very responsive, and were able to get the tech out the next morning.

Roto-Rooter was very punctual and showed up at exactly the time of the appointment. My service was performed by Sergey. He put a tarp down on my driveway and dug out the pipe around the broken and malfunctioning backflow valve. He was very careful and methodical. He did an outstanding job explaining exactly what he was doing. He had to cut out the old backflow valve and splice in the new one. It took him about 3 hours to do the whole job. I was extremely happy with the service and would definitely call them again if I have any plumbing problems in the future.

The first technician was not so good, but when I let the management know they were wonderful. They made sure the problem was resolved and they were very professional. I would recommend them.
