I had to spend an additional $360 to have him unclog one bathtub and two sinks that were not clogged just running slowly. He did a fine job and was a nice guy but but they were extremely expensive. I was stunned at the rates and everything they do is a flat rate. He bargained with me on the prices because I was not sure I wanted to follow through with the service due to the pricing. I didn't end up getting everything done that I intially wanted done when I purchased the deal because it was still excessively priced. In order to have those three things done I paid $610 with the value of the deal.

Arrived as scheduled, performed work as requested.

He came out to look at a small clogged drain; he wanted to charge me an additional $100 to fix on top of the deal I already paid for. I then just asked him to install a new shower head I had, he wanted me to pay him $20 dollars under the table. They did show up promptly, but I do not believe I should have to pay any additional monies to them. I just requested a refund and will not use this company.

Came in a very timely manner. Was very professional and courteous. The quote was $305 to unclog one kitchen drain. I have no other quotes, so I do not know whether this is high or low. It was just more than we were willing to pay. I will say that I never felt pressured. When I said the quote was 3X what we hoped to pay, he thanked me for the opportunity to quote it and left us with a good impression.

Excellent response time. I purchased a coupon for &9.00 towards $250 Labor. Then I paid for any parts and small amount of time it ran over the $250. including the coupon and parts and labor it was $174.00. Called in for appt, and they came out within 2 hrs. Excellent tech explained every thing he was doing. Very Professional. It turned out that we called them again about a month later another of our toilets broke down the same way. Again I purchased a coupon and had the same excellent service from a different tech. Cost was the same as last time. Response time was 45min. I like the fact that the tech gives you an estimate before he starts the work and there are no surprises about what you expect to pay. Also the level of expertise and knowledge of the techs was great. This company has been around for a long time for a good reason. Excellent customer service!

The company responded very quickly to arrange service. Jose arrived on time. It took some time to figure out the problem as water was not backing up when I ran the washing machine for him. He cleared the pipe of roots and told me how to avoid the problem. He was very courteous, patient, well informed and able to explain the problem. I would definitely call him again in the future and highly recommend Rotor-Rooter. I have used this company before and have never been disappointed. Angie's List coupon really helped defray the cost.

unclogged drain as promised, it was a particually bad clog so it took him a while...he cleaned up what little mess there was, very professional and responsive especially for a Sunday afternoon.

They were great. They came to do the job that day and the plumber was professional. I spent more than the Big Deal price because the problem was pretty major. They did what they could to fix the problem.

Appointment was at 7:00-9:00 AM. They called at 9:00 AM said they were running late. Called me at 10:03 AM and I could not pick up the phone and called them back 3 minutes later n they said they sent the plumber somewhere else and I had to wait until a plumber became available. Plumber arrived at 1:31PM. I had to pay and additional $99.00 for parts that they said was not included in the Angie's ,List deal. The work done was excellent and the plumber was professional but I was disappointed in the dispatcher and customer service received; plus the additional cost.

The technicians walked around the house and assessed the water system. They finally informed me of possible future problems with my water heater, and recommended replacing a regulator and another valve on the water heater system. I think this company is using the $79.95 deal to pay for a basic service call and then finding additional work to do. This is a good scam to get into your home and have you pay for the privelidge.

It went very well although the special deal we got threw him for a loop. With the special we bought we owed him an additional $4.00 so we were extremely pleased with the price and the quality of the work

Came out to install a water filter and clean two drains. They came out after rescheduling twice. Plumber stated he could not do the install and to clean a drain was $350. I said forget it. Called local plumber came out did the install no problem, cleaned two drains and fixed a toilet $105.

The service technician was kind, courteous, and knowledgeable.

The technician was very professional, friendly and a hard worker. My biggest complaint was the overall cost...I couldnt believe it. I got the $75 for $250 worth of plumbing services and thought I would be more than covered to uninstall 2 sinks (removing only 1) and uninstall the base of a pedestal sink which turned out to be extremely simple and I could have done it myself in about 5 minutes. (did not know that ahead of time though) In any case, I was very pleased with the technician but for those 3 things they originally tried to charge me almost $400. I was very caught offguard with that. I was ultimately able to negotiate it down to roughly $270. I was originally supposed to have them return 3 days later to install 2 toilets but the estimate I received from them to just install 2 toilets was more than $500. The first toilet was somewhere around $365 and then they would discount the second installation. This did not include the toilets either. I ended up calling around and all three places I spoke with said they would charge $150-$200 to install a toilet. Roto Rooter was professional, on-time, courteous but I just found that the rates were not competitive with the local market at all. Again, I do want to mention that I did like my technician a lot. I do not blame him for the high price tag.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and the person who came out was useless. I told them when I called that I did not know if it was something with my pump or if it was something else. They said they would send someone out and when he got here he said it was not electricity, but that they did not really work on well pumps. Then I asked him to check a leak under my sink that needed to be fixed. When he checked it he told me I needed to buy a new faucet; that was it. Then he wanted to charge me $60 for the service call. I told him I would not pay it because I had a Big Deal coupon for $49 and I told him he did not do anything. I will not recommend this company because I thought they would fix my issues. He got here the same day I called. He did not know what he was doing and even had to make a call during his time here.

Everything works. The service from the first call to the plumber coming was great. They called to setup an appointment a hour after my purchase. They came out two days later and I have my sink agin.

My mother-in-law was staying for the week after our second child was born, so we needed someone fast. Roto-Rooter was running a $79 special, and I ordered via Angie's List. The auto-response said that the company would contact me within 24 hours, but I received a call within 3 hours. In fact, they came THAT DAY! When the technician came, there was a little confusion over the $79 special, but the technician called the home office, and they honored their commitment. The technician found the problem, fix it, and was done within an hour. Great job.

It went beyond our expectations. Polite, on time and while we'd planned for extensive work, our plumber found that the problem was not as bad as anticipated and demonstrating honesty and integrity, showed us that. He saved us hundreds of dollars.

The plumber was on time and did good work. He quoted me half off for the second small job do I said go ahead and add the shut off valve behind the fridge. After the work was done he confirmed I had the Angie's List coupon and took back the half off on the second job. Pretty sure I paid more with the coupon than had I not had one. Also would have done the second job myself if I knew it was gonna be full price. I'd recommend the guy for his work, but the pricing seemed absurd and incorrect.

It turned out great. We have lived here only six months and were having problems with the drains. They came out, took their camera, and went down the drain line and they could see where it was broken. They fixed it and it is working perfectly. They were very courteous, professional, and prompt; they came when they said they will be here and did the job. I thought they were really good. We were really happy with them. I would recommend them to anybody that needed that kind of work.

Update: Rotor Rooter called me to explain why I was charged too much, He apologized and said my coupon was incorrectly entered. I received a $171 refund. Thank You

Both were accomplished with good results. I had another pop up valve in a Whitfiled Amer. Std. faucet that was built in and could not be replaced. I just ordered the part and will have it repaired at a later date. Otherwise, DJ did a great job and would recommend his services.
