Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They eventually cleared the line and in so doing discovered that there was a sag in the line somewhere between the toilet and the sump pump once they ran the camera through the line. They recommended that we call our homeowners warranty dept to see if it was covered because the cement floor would have to jack-hammered to access the line. They also stated that they could do the job but if our warranty covered it, we should go this route first. They were very courteous and professional and they did a thorough job of replacing everything exactly like they found it and cleaned up afterwards.

I would NOT purchase this deal and WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone else. After purchasing the deal which is good toward LABOR ONLY (which means they charge whatever they want) the tech arrived and told me the labor was worth $240 (to change a hose bib faucet?) and that my coupon was valued at $250. Which means, he said, I would loose the ten dollars in value and could not use toward parts. Then he told me the value of the parts - which I was in no position to negotiate at that point because I had already purchased the coupon. After the service was performed (which took almost three hours) customer service called. When I said that I would not recommend this company again because of the loss of value on the coupon (which they would not credit back any value to me) the lady in the Raleigh, NC office said, "well, thanks for your opinion," and hung up. Very unprofessional. Not a good experience at all.

The service went well. It turned into a much bigger job. The price was fair and the work was done right. I thought it was a little more expensive than it should have been but they were here promptly.

Be careful when purchasing these deals thinking that you are getting something great when somehow the Provider always manages to add on additional costs once they get to your house. I took the morning off from work to get the issue of a slow drip faucet and a clogged toilet repaired. The Plumber showed up, and after looking at me from head to toe in a way that was a bit uncomfortable, he looked at the toilet and then the faucet which I had turned off the night before since my water bill had tripled over the past 3-months as a result of the leak. He waited 1 min and said there is nothing wrong with the faucet, as he doesn't see a drip. This is my house and prior to me turning off the water, the sink has been wet every day whether or not it was used and even hours after it was used. In the next breath he said, it will cost $265 to do this type of job. Seriously? He was not even aware that I had purchased a $79 coupon for $250 worth of work on Angie's Lst. He said "I don't know anything about those coupons and I don't set these prices." I told him to leave my house as I paid $99 previously to fix the same leaky faucet with Rapid Rooter and it took them all but 15-mins. So, I didn't think this job was worth $265 and according to him there was nothing wrong with the faucet so I am not sure why he was quoting me $265. I called the company to complain and some Supervisor called back only to say that their prices are what they are and that they are comparable to other companies. He did apologize for the experience and said he would talk to the Plumber but that was the extent of that. So, I called Angie's List to get a refund of my $79. They are going to find another company to do the work and apply my $79 to their cost.

I used one of the Angie's List deals and within what felt like minutes of purchasing the deal I was contacted by a scheduler. It was very easy to get an appointment, and I was able to get one for the next day. DJ, the plumber, was fairly prompt. He was professional, quickly assessed the problem and worked efficiently. He also answered my questions about the problem and how to prevent it from happening in the future. The price was very reasonable, especially once the deal was applied. I will call them again if another issue arises.

The replacement went well with no issues. They explained my options and help me weigh my options as technology has changed in 17years.. Once I decided, the plumber started on the job. Inspection went well.

Company showed up on time, dispatch service was in constant contact with me letting me know the eta. Crew was knowledgeable, friendly and did the job I asked for.

Was having shower tiled and needed new drain. They came out on half day notice and installed the new drain in less than an hour. Excellent service and performance. Highly recommended.

The service man (David 839) was courteous and knew what the problem was. He was very prompt and careful not to make a mess in the house. There were no problems encountered.

I initially was very unhappy since the service took much longer than I thought. The branch manager called after my initial Angie's review and has refunded the initial $94 I was charged in addition to the $79 fee. This company makes it right with their customers and I have restored faith in Roto-Rooter.

I purchased $250 worth of plumbing for $79. The plumber they sent was very slow. He was here for hours. I had just had hardwoods installed in my living room and he wanted to take a very heavy piece of equipment over them to the bathroom., My hardwoods would have been ruined. I made him pick it up and carry it. When he was done I was charged an additional $94 for the work. I could have paid ANY plumber this amount of money to unclog a drain. Do NOT use these people. This was no deal.

Refused to do work scheduled then quoted $575 to hook up a sink after countertop replacement. I was told the work could be done that day when I scheduled the appointment, but tech said he was too busy.

The roto rooter tech came out and didn't think he could perform the work. He went outside made several phone calls to senior techs as well as the tub manufacturer and ultimately decided that he was unable to perform the task needed.

As a new Angie's List customer this is our first complete experience. We were very impressed by all aspects of the service delivery. I called Saturday morning. Roto-Rooter would have been able to come in the afternoon but we had to put it off until Sunday morning. The service technician, Andrew, was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem,provided an estimate and went to work immediately. He resolved the problem completely, including moving the washer and dryer back into place and hooking up the vent on the dryer. We were able to take advantage of their coupon and the service only cost us about $140. We would definitely use this company again.

Everything went well. He tried hard to determine the source of the problem. in addition he fixed another toilet bowl I had a problem with. I just found them to be extremely pricey. Ihad a $250 worth of work angies list voucher and still came out of pocket $50. In my opinion the work he performed wasnt $300 worth.

EXCELLENT! Desmond Green (752) was super. Very professional, got right to work, took time to put shoe covers on, rubber mat put down to protect the work area, told me and explained everything he was doing. Very pleasant to talk to and enjoyed the experience. HE ROCKS! And so glad I'm a member of Angie's List. Thanks to Desmond for suggesting you and the BIG DEAL.

Within 10 minutes of my initial phone call the company called back to inform me that a technician was en route to my residence. This was around 8:30 AM. THE TECH/plumber arrived in about an hour or less, within the 2 hr stated window. Fellow (tech #203 Ronnie) was extremely courteous, quick and helpful in teaching me how to personally keep my toilets in good working order, kind of a "plumbing 101" course.

The deal was $49 for a plumbing service call and $100 repair credit. I called them to fix dripping faucet. Their estimation was $230. I needed to pay $130 using the coupon I bought. Total cost for me was $189. I had another estimation from other plumber, $120 (without so called deal). Seems to me it is not a deal but just deception.

Desmond Green was awesome. He was very professional. He explained to me exactly what he was doing -- step by step. Our sinks are unclogged and we are happy, happy, happy. Desmond was kind enough to direct me to Angie's List for a $250 discount which brought our total down to $179.24. Thank you Desmond for saving us some money. You're great.

Desmond was the technician who did the job. He was very pleasant and efficient. He asked what I had done previously and took a look at the auger I used. He then wrote me up two tickets. One was for using an auger to cleat the stop, the other was for removing the toilet if need be to take additional measures to clear it. He said he would only charge me for one service, even if the augering didn't work. It did work, however and the deal I purchased covered it. Desmond gave me the make approximate cost of the closet auger he used so if I choose in the future I can save the money on the service call. This was much appreciated. I would definitely give him a call for future plumbing needs.

They were very prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. They were good at communicating, and everything still works, so I guess they did a good job.

I must say Roto Rooter is very good and prompt with there services the two professional employees that showed up Mr. John and Mr. David got right down to business there courteous customer service skills were very very good and I understood all of what was being done and the problem was fixed I truly thank Angie List for my savings with the company and want to say I give both gentlemen a 10 for a job well done. In the future I will most certainly use Roto Rooter again and again. I know longer have clogged sinks or a tub :)

IRoto Rooter fails in my estimation and receives an F for ripping off consumers.

He did absolutely nothing called triangle plumbing and backflow the same day and they came out and stopped the ice maker tube from leaking in kitchen. The Plummer went under house and cut tube From its supply and stopped the leak. $85 fee. All roto rooter did was make excuses of why it could not be done and left my house with water leaking on my floor. Dont plummers stop leaks. Ridiculous.

Technician appeared incompetent. Unable to solve problem after 3 hours. Water continued to back up in house. Called and tried to reach supervisor and not successful until 3rd attempt. At that point asked them to leave my property and not attempt to make any further repairs. All parties in agreement no charge for supposed service.
