Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

They were great. The plumber was an A and he got the job done in less than one hour.

It went well. I called ahead of time to see if they could do the work I needed done. They said it would cost me extra. Once they came to do the work they never charged for the extra costs.

Went very well, instead of simply insisting that I buy a brand new water heater he walked me through options to fix the one I owned currently.

Plumber explained in advance that he would have to cut away a board in order to reach the leaky pipe so the cost was $100 more. The job took just over 3.0 hours to complete. Friendly, cordial and prompt service. This was our second time using this plumbing service. My Angie's list coupon helped a little.

They amazingly honored their quote even though the job was expected to only take 4 hours which turned into 7 hours with 3 men not just one, in addition to having to buy parts that was not expected. Roto-rooter is a stellar business with honor and integrity. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing or sewer line work and/or all the other services they provide.

Toilet fix was quick and resolved slow leak problem. Shower fix was difficult because faucet handles were seized and internals were corroded. The house is fairly old and the faucet mechanisms had not been touched in at least 10-15 or more years. The faucet handles had to be sawn or broken off. Konstantin got the seized parts apart and found new parts to fit and went for them, and rebuilt the shower faucets so they are like new. Professionally done.

I wasn't there but from what I understand everything was fine. They had a reasonable rate. They did all that needed to be done.

Ordered this special deal of $250.00 worth of plumbing services for $79.00 on Oct. 2 and was told I would be contacted by Oct. 6. I was not so I contacted them and made an appointment for Oct. 14 with a window of 5 - 7 p.m. The provider did not come until 8:15 p.m. I had to call them to find out when someone was coming. When he came, he smelled of cigarettes and did not have shoe booties even though it was wet outside. My problem was two toilets not flushing properly. Of course while he was there, one of them worked fine but no effort was made to determine what might be causing it to not work at other times. For the 2nd one, he said he needed to use an auger and it would cost $350. I told him to show me proof of cost. He went to his truck, came back with a book and said it had been a long day and he had made a mistake and the augering would be covered by the service I had paid for. Since there was still a considerable credit for what I had paid for, I asked him to come back to look at some faucets that were problematic. He said it would have to be done under the table. Not sure why. Anyway, I called him a few days later and told him not to bother. Seemed like he was a rush to get in and out and was trying to rip me off. The last 3 providers I have found on Angie's List were all disappointing. I will not be renewing with Angie's List.

I purchased an angie's list coupon for $79 for $250 worth of plumbing labor. Our house is fairly old (built in 1952) and what should have been a fairly simple job turned into a giant mess - none of which was roto-rooter's fault. Despite the horrible mess that occurred, roto-rooter handled things better than I would have expected. They sent one guy out to work on the house, and he spent close to six hours working on snaking a sink and tub in one bathroom in our house. Previously, the tub drained slowly and the sink drained okay but occasionally made gurgling noises. Most of the plumbing in our house is old cast iron and I reckon it has a ton of buildup in the pipes because the bathroom was an awful mess after the first round of work was done. Admittedly, the first roto-rooter guy really should have cleaned up the mess, but after six hours of working on what should have been at most a two-hour job, I reckon I can't fault him too much. A service manager called while the first guy was still there and apologized profusely saying they were unable to fix the problem and would send out another plumber the following day. So a second plumber came out the next day (Jose) and he was very nice and very professional. It was pretty obvious that he enjoys his job, and that made the whole experience significantly less unpleasant. Jose spent several more hours working on the same sink and tub and apologized that the mess wasn't cleaned up from the previous day. The end result is that the tub drains well now, and the sink drains pretty slowly. Really the plumbing needs to be replaced, so it's totally not roto-rooter's fault that they were unable to get both drains working properly. Overall, roto-rooter spent something like 9 or 10 hours working at my house over two days. I paid $79 for the angie's list coupon, plus around $75 for some sink parts that broke during round 1 and a big jug of some roto-rooter pipe treatment. I was just about shocked that roto-rooter accepted responsibility for the work taking so long. Literally the invoice for round 2 read $0.01. Jose was awesome, and I'm grateful for the professionalism shown by the service managers during the whole experience. I will be using them in the future - especially if I can request Jose.

Buyer beware! They will not provide quotes or estimates prior to commencing work. That should have been my clue that these guys were not dealing fairly.

Serviceman was punctional and informative. He serviced my rental property and called me to inform me of issues and price before cmpleting the work. I appreciated that.

Gavin came out. My initial problem was water on the floor; I thought the toilet was leaking at the floor, but he found that it was leaking at the base of the tank. The water connection was bend and a potential problem. Fixed both issues. Nice guy. However, initially . . . I sent a message to 3 plumbers through Angie's list and was looking for the first one to reply. R-R called first, taking it out of Angie's List. It was very difficult to arrange to have the $40 coupon applied to my charges!!!!!

No service performed. Just got estimates. Scheduled appoint for work but the plumber didn't turn up. I got it done by a different company. The company seems to be very professional but the rates are high. The big deal probably brings the price on par with others. Give B grade only because they missed the appointment and didn't turn up the entire day.

Ronnie (Tech#203) did an awesome job. He spent all day at our house addressing several projects ranging from toilet stabilization and seal issues, to replacing kitchen faucet and fixing leak issues. Friendly professional and knowledgeable. Ronnie checked and re-checked everything with me to ensure all issues were properly addressed. Roto-Rooter and Ronnie are my go to plumbing service going forward.

Fixing the tub/shower selector tap turned out to be MUCH harder then he expected. He didn't have the parts on his truck (we have a 1940's old house). He went to get the parts. Eventually, the taps were all replaced and the leak seemed to be repaired. The hole in the wall that he had to cut to get at one of the taps was patched and sealed. (It's still ugly though, but so's the rest of that bathtub/shower so maybe that's OK.) All in all, kudos to the repairman for persisting through adversity. He did finally get it fixed. Two months later, the faucet is leaking again. Not sure what to do this time. If you've got a difficult job that needs persistence, this plumber might be an excellent fit.

Lengthy process, but smooth. He got the drain cleared and then ran a camera down the pipe to verify that is was clear.

He fixed the clogged drain, plus fixed the toilet at no extra charge.

The technician arrived for the initial visit, but was unable to complete the job because he needed another part. Was having trouble regulating the temperature for the hot water. Once the part arrived he called and we set up the time/date for him to come out and complete the job. He was very professional, thorough and courteous.

I cut my water main in the front yard. Jeff quickly responded to assess the situation and helped with the repair. He was very efficient and responsive. Great job.

David inspected the main sewer line drain with a camera. I was concerned because my neighbors in adjoining townhome recently had theirs back up into their first floor. Luckily, it turned out my line was clear. Am happy for this peace of mind. Thank you, David, for recommending this.
