 + 0 moreDrain clogged on Fri., (back to back bathroom sinks) spent next two days trying to unclog with plunger, chemicals, and snake. Called them Sun. evening to make an apt for Mon. morning. Was told they would call for time first thing Mon. morning. They called right after 8:00 and pulled into the driveway before 8:30. It took around 50 min. to unclog the drain. I was quoted $250.00 before he started, and I told him I have a coupon from this site for $30.00. Total cost was $220.00. It was expensive, but I should have started with them on Fri.

 + 0 moreThe plumber was friendly and assured me he could do the job. Informed me at this time they no longer take some of the coupons that are being offered. Found smaller coupons 40.00 off still take but the big ones 125.00 for 250.00 service call they do not take them any more. Again the plumber technician really nice on doing his job. However, I would strongly suggest with any company and the coupons to call first and make sure you explain the amount of the coupons before you get any work done.
Description of Work: My family is on a really tight budget and I wanted an estimate over the phone. This issue had happen before so I pretty much knew what the issue was a clogged trap washing machine line backed up. He stated no estimate over the phone company policy and that the plumber would have to come out to take a look and let me know of the price then. I called 05/03/15 @ around 12:00 and they said that someone would be out from until about 3:00. He arrived about 1:30 with in 5 minutes he advised it would be 334.00 based off information he showed me its a flat rate, so it did not matter if he ran the machine for 30 minutes or 4 hours same price for clearing a drain. This works out good for someone who has a large home with several feet of piping but for a smaller home that is unacceptable. Clearly prices are already set in stone so what was so difficult to tell me that when I called. But worn if its not that the price could increase. The 334.00 has no description of what is incorporated in that price to explain to the consumer what we are paying for. If the company had been a little more forth coming with the information over the phone, I would've let then do the work. However, I got the impression it was a lot more involved for them to determine what the problem was and that was not the case.

 + -1 moreWell after a while, he finally pulled some stuff from the plumbing that we think has been there for a long time before we ever moved into the house! But he fixed it and the kitchen sink was cleared! Its never gone down so fast as it does now! Thanks to Jimmys patience and humor it was taken care of. We had a few good laughs by the way. Great guy!! WILL ALWAYS call on Roto-Rooter for anything I have in the future no matter where I live. They are the best!!
Description of Work: Jimmy was awesome, he worked so h****** unclogging my kitchen sink. It was backed up for about a week, and I tried everything. Had to call, Jimmy really worked hard at this problem.

 + 0 moreThe technician came out and attempted to auger through our floor drain in our basement, which unfortunately was shaped in such a way that he could not get the snake/auger more than a few feet (same thing happened to me which is why I called a professional). Unfortunately this drain was not properly done and had no additional access near it as it should have. But fortugnately we do have a washer drain that feeds into the same pipe that he was able to use instead. After a good deal of effort he was able to get about 70' of cable into the drain and came back with roots. He ran it down again to get more roots out but unfortunately it was not something he could completely clear. He was thorough, helpful, and persistent in his attempts and while he could not solve our issue he did at least find out what the issue was and gave me some ideas on how to proceed. The cost listed was the quoted price, but fortunately Roto-Rooter had an Angie's list special I had purchased so the total out of pocket cost ended up being about half the price of the quote.
Description of Work: Attempted to auger through a blockage in our 2" (?) floor drain that leads to a gray water tank.

 + 0 moreThe plumber, Victor, arrived on time. He was courteous, friendly and professional. He was knowledgeable about the work that was needed. He gave me the prices for each job that was to be done. He worked carefully and did an excellent job. Victor double and triple checked to make sure there were no leaks, and that we were satisfied with the results of his work. Victor cleaned up the area nicely and took away the old parts and pieces. We would definitely use this company again.

 + 2 moreI had been given estimates in the thousands of dollars from other businesses to replace two outside drainpipes, one of which was fed by our water softener. Water was pooling next to the foundation when it rained, since this drainpipe also drained the gutters. The original drainpipes were the black corregated kind and I didn't think they would stand up to reaming out. The fellows thought they should try it first to see if it would work and it did! I was so grateful not to have to dig up the front yard and our brick walkway. The cost was certainly reasonable and the fellows were very affable. I will certainly call them again, if I have a similar problem.

 + -1 moreIt went great. We bought a coupon off Angies list on Sunday. They actually called and Carlos was here in a couple of hours even though it wasn't an emergency. Carlos was great. He explained everything and then went right to work. I thought it would be a quick unclog but he was here for about an hour and a half. Though all the unclogging was done from inside the house, he actually went under the house twice to make sure everything was OK. I was quite impressed.

He made a follow-up appt for Sunday and came and completed the work in approximately 2 1/2 hours. He was thorough and most importantly cleaned up after himself. All the work is very satisfactory.

 + -1 moreVery fast, faster than I expected. I called in to an 800# expecting to have to schedule some time into the future and I had a plumber at my door in an hour. On a Saturday. (This after my favorite plumber could not be scheduled.) That was impressive. He was a good guy, knew what he was doing, acted professionally (putting on foot coverings every time he entered the house). I found the card rate for basic services seemed high, so getting washers replaced was not that much different than getting one shut-off valve installed, which I have always wanted anyway. So I chose that route so that I might attempt the rebuild/replacement myself later. If I had a genuine plumbing emergency though the rate would be less important than the fast appointment turnaround. In any case with the $79 for $250 coupon I got real value out of this. The plumber worked to see I got full value. So I recommend the coupon in any case and will definitely consider using these guys again.

I usually go with smaller local shops, but the deal was too good and the service/responsiveness was great. It only cost me $75 in parts beyond the Special Deal rate. I'm very happy.

 + -1 moreIt was great. The work that they got into, there were parts that had to be replaced but I got a good deal. Roto-Rooter has always been an excellent company. We thought that it was just going to be the seal in the toilet but it ended up being other things to fix the toilet. He was going to remove the disposal but then he had to remove all the piped because they were all wrong. He was here all day. It was real reasonable. They did it right the first time and they always explain everything they do. I've used Roto-Rooter for probably 30 years and they've always just did real good. I always go back to them because of cost, they're prompt and they get it done.
Description of Work: They replaced the bracket and seal on the toilet. They replaced the internal work from the toilet and replaced all the plumbing under the sink. They removed the disposal.

The work was not completely satisfactory. They were able to fix something in the kitchen, but not in another sink. They actually did a very good job, but it cost too much and they did not solve the problem completely.

Received a call 20 minutes after placing service call, repairman en route. Arrived and fixed toilet, within 45 minutes of placing call. Dave the Plumber was very courteous, professional, and fixed the problem fast ! Only reason for the B on price,I felt they were a little pricey but the Angie's List coupon brought the price back into a very reasonable range.The fast service they offer can make them slightly higher priced, but the speedy & superior service made it a great value.

A complete ripoff, as I could go anywhere else and have the job completed for $150. Very dissatisfied.
