Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

It was quick and they were on time. We bought a drain solution to use in the shower to help prevent clogs. I later found out (from the tile company that installed my drain) that I was missing a piece to my drain that may have prevented so many clogs (This was the second trip to unclog the drain). I would have thought the plumber would have noticed that I was missing a piece to my drain.

Our main sewer line backed up and Roto-Rooter cleared the blocked line and showed us very clear video of a broken piece of pipe. Also, they are the first plumbing company we've had out to our home that could (1) tell us where on the property our sewer line came out and connected with the city's line and (2) could actually find our clean out - which was broken and covered by a huge rock by a previous homeowner. David was incredible friendly and professional - and especially patient with our questions.

It went well. They did fine. They seemed to do it pretty fast and it worked. I was satisfied. They did good work and I will recommend them.

It worked out just fine, they came over quickly, did their job in November of last year. I've used them several times, for 14 years. They got here on time, they do what they should do, and they're reliable. They do what they say they're going to do, and they do a great job.

The back flow valve installation was very professional and he even cleaned out the valve afterwards to make sure it wouldn't drip water. The bathtub drain I tried to snake out myself, but he went much further in the drain and cleaned out a major hair clog. He also adjusted the train plug mechanism as it seemed it was about 1/2 of the problem as well. He worked on it for quite a while to make sure it was working well.

It was okay. I didn't have any complaints nor do I think they were especially good.

The guy who came out was wonderful and what he accomplished was very nice. It was a great deal. The service man was extremely courteous and polite.

Robert. Employee #1202, showed up right on time, assessed the scope of the work and materials needed, explained clearly and concisely how he would perform the work needed, and got right to work. He extended the copper pipe to the required length, threaded the end of it, screwed the tub spout on firmly, leak-checked the entire tub and shower water flow, and completely cleaned up all residue. All work was accomplished quickly and in a craftsman-like manner. We definitely found our go-to plumbing services provider in the future!

Things went very well. They were able to come right out and fix our problem.

All fixed and he was very neat. Just a tad expensive.

David, the plumber showed up within the time frame of the appointment. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and diligent as he fixed the handful of issues in a complete but expedited manner as to save me additional costs. Could not have asked for better service, I immediately left to tell my parents in case they needed any plumbing done.

Great service . Provider explained what needed to be done and performed well. Very pleased . Also explained how to avoid further problems. Used Angie special for discounted price.

He was unable to fix my washing machine. They did a good job though. My son fixed the washing machine for me. The boy was extremely nice. After using Angie's List it did drop the cost some.

It broke suddenly last night and Gavin came out this morning and promptly replaced it for less than the originally estimated price. He was friendly, efficient, and cleaned up perfectly. Could not have been a better experience (other than the water heater not breaking at all, of course!)

It was okay. They came out, the first person was very nice. However, when he left, that night, my first floor flooded in my bedroom so they had to call someone else out. He changes some things that I told them that were okay. He told me they weren't okay and he changed them. They were very nice people but it wasn't an ideal. They were very nice, very friendly, very professional. They were nice, friendly and professional. They did come out and fix the problem. For what I had done, it was fine for the price.

It was fine. I ended up having to pay a total of 500 dollars to get the rest of the services done. I had stuff coming up through my shower drain. I had a hard time understanding the worker but he was nice.

It was fine. I thought they were a little over priced on top of the Big Deal I purchased. Due to that I may not use them again. The worker was nice and polite.

Horrible experience!!!!!!!!! I will never use Roto Rooter again. They charge $199/hour and mark up parts by 2x plus $10 (per the technician). So my broken hose cost me $159 (thank God I had a $40 coupon from Angie's list) and $42.19 for the hose that the technician ran to Lowe's and purchased for $14.98 which he confirmed. I totally regret ever making this call and will never use them again.

Couldn't have asked for better service! David Guin, my service provider, arrived within an hour of my calling. He was friendly, professional, and quite knowledgable. He explained that the pilot light had gone out and he lighted it for me. He explained that they sometimes just go out and if it happens again, that it might be one of the parts, but I probably wouldn't need a whole new hot water heater. And the best thing is that he didn't charge me! He said the call took only a few minutes. I'll be calling them again if I need more help.

General inspection was NOT thorough. I have asked three times, including when plumber was at house for an itemized bill for the parts. The labor was itemized but I can't seem to get an itemization of the parts. I have called the 800 number and the local office and still don't have it. Plumber worked very hard to replace the pipe extender but it took him several hours and multiple trips back and forth to supply store. I still have a hole in my ceiling and he was not able to either fix the hole or recommend someone to do the fix. We got another estimate for the same work but chose Roto Rooter because they could come sooner. Not sure that was a good idea.

The service for the big deal purchase for 75 dollars from Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services for 250 dollars worth of plumbing work. I didn't go for that too much because I really thought that it was triple the price when they came in to do it so I really didn't save anything. I could have got somebody to do the job cheaper than what they ended up charging. They make it seem like you are getting this great deal and then they charge you so much more to put the faucet in than anybody would have done without the deal. It turns out to be the same as if we didn't get a deal. That is all they did, it is a brand new house and it had a faucet already in there, it was a month old and we wanted a different one, just take one out and put one in and he charged me 250 dollars. I don't think that is a deal at all. The coupon was 75 dollars and I think that he should have charged me max about another 100 bucks and he charged me like 175 or something like that which brought the whole deal well over 200 dollars to change a faucet. I wasn't there. It was for my daughter's house. It was a gift. They said the worker that came was alright, he didn't have a part he needed and he had to go buy some part. I don't know why he would need a part when he was just changing a faucet but he did.

Made an online request on Tuesday. Office called back that afternoon and set up appointment for Wednesday morning between 8 and 10. Office called at 9 am Wednesday to say service provider would be there in 45 minutes. It was more like 1 1/2 hours but he showed up around 10:15. Chris was very nice and professional and quoted a price of $409.00/hr. for the high pressure water jet to clear the drain. I thought that was pretty steep, but had already taken most of the morning to get this fixed, and thought maybe it would take 10 or 15 minutes, so I agreed. When the water jet didn't work, he tried the snake. When that didn't work, he pulled out the camera to see what the blockage was. He says it looks like a tree root, and there's nothing he can really do about it. So, after two hours of work, my drain is still blocked. When he said he'd been here for two hours and the price SHOULD be $818.00 I almost choked, but then he agreed that one hour at $409.00 was more appropriate. I still think that is way too high, especially since the expensive high pressure hose was only used for about 20 minutes. Bottom line is the rep was very nice, very professional, and tried hard, but Roto-Rooter is insanely expensive, and my problem isn't even fixed.

I called Roto Rooter at 9:20am and spoke to Dawn. She was very polite and professional and discussed my issue with me to make sure she understood what I needed. She then said she could have someone to my house by Noon. I agreed and hung up. 5 minutes later she called back and said she had a technician on the way right then. At 10am Sergey shows up and knocks on my door. He was very clean, very professional and very nice. I showed him my problem and he quickly diagnosed the issue and took time to show me what was wrong. He then had to call around town to try and find the parts I needed. Of course the parts were all the way on the other side of town and the supply place only had one in stock. Sergey gave me my repair estimate and allowed me to use my Angie's list coupon and he immediately took off to get my part. He returned 2 hours later with Vasily another Roto Rooter tech who had been dispatched to help him get the parts quicker. Vasily was also clean, professional and very nice. Both technicians were friendly and happy to talk with me and answered all my questions. They worked to install my new back flow preventer together and were done by 3pm. I am very satisfied with the process and the service I received. I'm sure I could have gotten someone to give me a better price but these guys were fast, professional and I know they will be in business tomorrow if I have an issue. I would use them again and would have no issues recommending them to someone else.

I called Monday morning at about 9 o'clock, and I had a technician at the house by about 12:30. The service technician looked over the situation, and quoted me a price, then started to get to work. The drain had standing water in it, and the technician started to try and clear it. He had quite a time, changed equipment to see what would work best, but stayed positive and patient, and after several hours....he had it cleared!! There was debris as well as tree roots inside of the drainage pipe. My service technician was Marvin, and he was fantastic! After he finished, he told me that when he walked up, he knew he was in for a job! He was nice, professional, up front about what was happening and the cause....and didn't' t take a break until he was done and the drain was working properly. It may not seem like a big deal when a drain is not functioning as it should, but Marvin relieved me of a headache that was plaguing me every time it rained. I would call them again, and whole heartedly recommend Marvin as a service technician!

The service man was very knowable and helpful. He went right to work and found the problem quickly. He also explained what had happened and why. By doing this we shouldn't have this problem again.
