Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

When he arrive we realized that I would have to purchase a new faucet. He went with me to Home Depot and we purchased the faucet. When my husband came back into town he said the faucet was not installed correctly because when you trun the handle the entire thing turns. We eventually called the guy back out and he confirm what my husband said that the entire faucet should not all turn when you simply turn the handle. The guy took it apart and said the ring on the new faucet was broke. He offered to replace it but we were unable to find our original home depot receipt. My husband told him it didn't just break and he had to have broken it when he installed it since the entire thing turned every since it was installed.

What a pleasant surprise - that on a Saturday late afternoon (NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR WEEKEND), I get service that fixed my immediate problem of a breach in my sewer line, caused by tree roots. The service guy "Junior" showed up ten minutes EARLY and was done in almost no time. Very thorough and very polite. A bad situation turned into a pleasant experience. What a great guy. Patient and thorough!

The technician arrived within 45 minutes of my phone call to place the service reequest. He quickly diagnosed that my issue was old/bad water supply lines. He needed to go to the store for parts, he did that and had the new lines installed within an hour. In retrospect, I should have taken a bit more time myself to figure out where the leak was, it really was a simple fix I could have done myself but I was happy with how quickly and efficiently the service was performed.

I purchased the Angie's list deal to get our shower fixed. I called to schedule an appointment a week out where it was convenient for us. The dispatcher informed us that she could have someone there within 30 minutes if I wanted to have it done now. We were getting ready to go run errands with the kids - but I changed my plans if it was available that quick. 90 minutes later - no service had arrived, when I called I was informed that a tech should be available in my area in the near future and that they would call when he was on his way. Obviously I'm furious that I changed my plans, waited 90 minutes - only to hear that someone will be ready at sometime in the near future and then head over. I have changed the date to a set time and will re-evaluate and report after that visit. Nothing upsets me more than just blatantly wasting my time. If you give me a 2 or 3 hour window and show up in it - thats great. I can plan ahead. But don't tell me to wait and that you will be right there and then not show up. As of right now, unless the visit next week is stellar, I will not use them again. Was promised first appointment in the morning but 8-10 window. Was called morning of appointment and told 9am, repairman arrived about 9:25am. Disappointing considering my previous experience but within the time range they promised. Closer to on-time, but just slimey. I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman from the 80s. I needed a cartridge replaced in a shower/tub - the hot water had stopped. I've now learned how from a u*tube video, purchased the parts and tools for $40 and completed the job myself. The actual job took me 15 minutes to take the shower handle apart, replace the cartridge and put the handle back together. The repairman from roto-Rooter said it would cost $329 in labor plus parts - standard cost had already looked in his book. I immediately asked him to leave. As he walked to his car he immediately started to negotiate down. He wanted to know how much I thought it was worth. I said $150-200 would be high, but I would pay it. He told me he couldn't do it for less than $279 labor. Conveniently $50 less than his first price and the exact amount of the coupon. To me this was a scam price, so far out of the acceptable range to complete the job. I can't imagine how much they were going to charge me for $30 standard part. Thank you U*tube!

Everything went very well. The first gentleman, Kevin I think, was there within an hour of calling on a Friday night. He assessed the situation and we determined that due to parts being unavailable repairs would need to wait until Saturday. On Saturday Jack Fried came out first thing in the morning. Jack seemed very experienced and explained his recommended repairs. He took care of everything in a couple of hours, cleaned up after himself and everything was back to normal! I would definitely recommend them!

Nothing. My toilet would flush and when it did, it kept running water. The provider did nothing. Pricing was just way to expensive for what I know needed to be done. He was telling me that the whole "flushing mechanism" had to be rebuilt. Not replaced - REBUILT. If I recall, these items are sold at any hardware store. I just needed someone to do the install. I purchased a new device and had my son install it for less than $20..00. Buyer beware!!

The plumbing professional came on time. Gave us a 30 min heads up. Looked at the issue. Replaced the faucet. Set the incline correctly. Plugged the siding hole. Was very courteous and did a very good job.

Provider diagnosed our problem which we were unable to service that day. He was very knowledgeable and told us exactly what we needed to do. He also looked at another issue we had and gave valuable tips to resolve the issue. We will use this provider in the future.

RESPONSE WAS EXCELLENT. Desmond was the gentleman who serviced my plugged sewer line. This guy is a real professional. He had very good communication skills as well as technical skills. If I have a need in the future I will request he be sent.

Sergey (#7775) arrived promptly and assessed our needs based on the issues we were facing. He provided options to consider, including a package deal that would help offer a lower price per drain. He quickly went to work and cleared all drains within a reasonable timeframe. He ensured that all issues had been properly addressed before he left. Sergey was professional, friendly, and was a good representative for the company. We appreciate his assistance!

Sergey arrived within an hour and was very professional, clean and truly wanted to help. Service ethics like this is hard to find today and I will definetly hire Roto-Rooter (and Sergey) again. With that said, you will pay a premium for quick response and excellent service.

We had the pipe between our house and the sewer backing up because there as an object down the pipe that was catching the waste from the house. We had another Roto-Rooter person come 3 weeks ago and he advised us that the only way to fix the problem was to dig out the pipe. He assured us it would cost no more than $500. Then the problem happened again and Steve Balogac (1116) and John(2961) came out. They scratched their heads for a minute and then devised a clever solution for a fraction of the cost of digging our the pipe. Wow, I can't begin to express how happy I was when they pulled out the plastic baseball bat that was causing the problem. If I have a problem in the future, I'll call Roto-Rooter and ask for them.

David was on time, tried less expensive solutions first, but needed to get the snake. No leaks, free running drain after he left. David was effective, friendly, and knowledgeable. If I need help in the future, I'll ask for David.

We had an old Delta style leaking shower head that Delta had actually discontinued a good while back. I had found several videos on YouTube that explained the problem (it's the shower faucet)and the repair process and I attempted a repair. Every video I watched stressed that if the 'dome' holding the faucet on didn't come off easily to not force it or put too much pressure on it trying to turn it. Doing so could cause much more damage. Mine wouldn't budge. So, it was time to call Roto-Rooter. John A. arrived within an hour and we went upstairs to take a look at the shower faucet. That's when he informed me the it was a discontinued system but it would be much cheaper to try to get the parts and repair it than the replacing the system. Replacing the system would involve removing the wall of the walk-in shower because the faucet was on an outside wall. I left John to his work and in about ten minutes he came back downstairs and said the dome wouldn't budge for him and that he would have to cut it off. He didn't want to proceed further until he had the replacement parts including the new trim kit that would be needed on hand. He ordered parts and returned three days later on a Saturday afternoon. After cutting the dome off (had to cut it completely through in two places) he came and got me and showed me how people can damage the copper pipes inside the wall by turning too hard trying to remove the dome. Fortunately, mine was fine. It would have cost hundreds of dollars more if the tubes had become twisted. John also told me he sees it happen all the time. Heads up, folks. At this point it was a simple repair and a little while later John called me up and showed my me twenty year old shower that looked brand new. I was very pleased with this experience. John gave me a quote before beginning any work and it came out $10 under. It always hurts to have to pay for something that one might be able to do themselves so it felt like it was expensive. But, in reality, under the circumstances, I probably saved hundreds of dollars. John was a complete professional, extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal. After just a few moments I had complete faith in him. Will definitely use Roto-Rooter again.

Desmond was kind enough to explain the problem to me and my significant other. Neither of us are do-it-yourselfers. Though the problem had a simple solution, Desmond did not make us feel silly. He was respectful and patient with us and the myriad of questions we had. I was relieved to find out that Roto-Rooter does not charge for estimate or weekend/after-hours estimates. We were able to use a deal we had purchased on Angie's List. It made the repair quite reasonable.

I called first thing in the morning and was able to have someone come out that afternoon, at a time that was very convenient. The technician, John Evans, called and gave me a heads up that he was on his way. He was right on time, very professional, and explained the details of what he needed to do. He gave me a quote beforehand and I knew exactly what to expect. He even addressed a pipe angle issue that I didn't know was there, so that I wouldn't have the clogging issues in the future. Overall great experience!!

We ran into a bit of a hiccup during our kitchen renovation and John from Roto-Rooter came to our rescue. They actually called and asked if they could come sooner than I had original requested which was great! John was very polite and knowledgeable and provided an explanation for what needed to be done along with a price and time estimate. He completed the work even more quickly than he quoted and everything was perfect! We will definitely use them again for future needs.

Look the service was basic --The guys the sent professional But $334 to snake a 25 foot line OUTRAGEOUS -- Never will use them again -- They really gouged me and there are a lot of plumbers out there who are just as good as well as professional that don't try to pay for their truck on your service call. Be careful --Pricing is out of sight

I made an appointment for the next morning online at 3pm. I expected a call back telling me they would need to reschedule. Instead, they called and asked if they could arrive a few minutes early. Technician Chris Lane arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. He was able to open my clogged downspouts and identify my other issues quickly. In all, he addressed 6 downspouts in 1.5 hours. I was impressed by his professionalism and the truck mounted equipment he used.

I would rate the provider as C= Fair since the plumber was four hours late for the appointment.
