Description of Work: I bought the big deal to get some plumbing work done in our home. We had a couple of leaky fill valves and a faucet that was dripping. The plumber had to make two trips to the shop to get supplies, dragging the process out. I also noticed after he left that one of the lines was still dripping (slowly). When I went to turn off the water, the fill line attached to it broke; I'm not sure if the plumber damaged it while replacing the valve. I then noticed that the leaky faucet was still leaking. Because of this shoddy work, I didn't trust Roto-Rooter to fix the problem. I decided to cut my losses and used a different plumber who I had used in the past; they cost more but do good work. I guess that's what you get when you try to save a few bucks on plumbing.

Description of Work: Clogged toilet which could not be cleared by plunger or plumber's snake we had. Senior citizen discount provided. Approximately five minutes of work to clear up toilet.

Description of Work: The day we had scheduled for the appointment, everything in town was closed due to bad weather. I figured I'd get a call saying Roto Rooter had to reschedule also, but the service provider showed up right on time and did an excellent job. He was very friendly and professional, explained to me what the problem was and what he was doing to fix it, and even gave me some helpful tips about how to keep it from having the problem again. I would definitely use them again, and have and will continue to recommend them to others. There were no unexpected charges, and I've had no problems whatsoever with the work performed since he was here.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for $79 for $250 worth of plumbing labor. They replaced a sink faucet through the deal. It worked out very well.

Description of Work: We had an outdoor faucet/hose leak that needed repair. Our repairmen was excellent and efficient. Even came out in the rain to fix it. Haven't used them for larger jobs but had no issues with this smaller job. Cost seemed reasonable for effort involved. Have not had any further issues with replaced outdoor faucet.

Description of Work: They replaced the pressure reducer valve on my main water line. The service was performed by John. He was great!! Knew exactly what to do and had everything he needed in his truck. I used an Angie's List coupon ($79 for $250 of labor) and I also provided my own replacement valve. He needed to use a few additional parts to couple it into the existing line. All is well now. I was going to do the work myself but worried I would get into unknown territory. I'm glad I didn't do it myself. I would have made a mess.

Description of Work: Provider installed a water line from our basement to our kitchen to provide water to a new refrigerator we had delivered. The first installer came out and installed the line, but when the fridge got delivered the connector did not fit on the fridge and they sent someone out who replaced the first connector and connected it to the fridge at no additional cost to us.

Description of Work: The two gentlemen that came out to service my grease trap were quick and professional. My only issue was the price, which seemed a bit high to clean out my box trap, but I understand people have to make their living and so I had no problem paying for the service, as it was needed.

Description of Work: Tiny leak in plumbing for pedestal sink. The tech had to remove the sink to get to the plumbing, then reinstall. The problem was minor and fixed quickly. The tech was very nice, but the dispatch folks told me I was first on the list when they called at 8, my appointment was between 8-10, and it was almost 11:30 before the tech showed up. Not his fault. They had sent him out to another job first. I was not very appreciative of the lack of correct info, as I had to be away from work for more than 1/2 day to meet the tech. Otherwise, I was very happy with the actual work.

Description of Work: They told me they were coming between 5-7pm. Never showed up. When I called they said "we apologize for the inconvenience". I have cancelled personal activities because they were coming!

Description of Work: They came out and installed a sink I had already purchased. They didn't tell me until they arrived about how much more than $79 this service would cost. They were about 2 hrs late but called periodically to update me. |

Description of Work: We had to pay a little extra to get our drains completed. Also we did not have a print off of the deal and they requested it but it did not say to have a printed copy. A bit of a hassle.

Description of Work: The scheduler was very nice. The plumber was very nice and professional. I had several projects that I wanted done: 1 new commode installed, a second commode that wasn't flushing properly, a new garbage disposal installed and 2 complete bath tub fixtures installed. The cost was higher than I expected. I ended up only getting the garbage disposal installed which was $275 to install. Since I bought the daily deal ($250 for $79), it only cost me an additional $44($25 + $19 for parts).

Description of Work: I had 3 things on my list for them to do, and only one was accomplished - thus the "B" rating. The man who came was very nice, and he quickly fixed a twisted chain in one of the toilets which kept getting stuck. But then I asked him to repair a leak in my rusty outside faucet, and he didn't want to attempt it for fear of "breaking it." The other job I wanted done was to fix the drain in my "slow" kitchen sink. To give him credit, he DID take apart the trap under the sink and clean it out (it had quite a build-up of grease), but said the whole line was probably gunked up and I should run very hot water to melt some of the grease (his only suggestion on how else to fix it). The sink is as bad as it was before he came, so basically I didn't much fixed for my money. A little disappointing.
