Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Description of Work: Repaired dripping faucet in shower. Took 3 trips and 3 different plumbers to get it fixed. Second guy took one look at it (a standard Kohler faucet) an said he did not know how to work on it. Third guy - who was good - found that first guy put part in upside down.

Description of Work: Removed old and installed new gas water heater including all new venting & piping according to code as my current venting was no longer up to code. It was permitted and they handled calling the city for inspection. Very professional, very prompt service. Also fixed clogged kitchen sink/disposal.

Description of Work: Took a little extra time. Extra time was pretty expensive. Overall, satisfied with the work.

Description of Work: Previously, the provider came to fix a toilet that needed a simple flushing mechanism repair. The only part the service person replaced was the stopper - nothing else. For that I paid close to $100. Of course, this did NOT solve my problem. I tried to fix it myself on a Saturday, and ended up brewing the shut-off valve. I called for service, and was told I'd have someone to my home in 2 hours. Three hours later, I started calling - only to learn that they had no idea when someone could come help. The water was completely turned off in my home - and they had no clue when they could come help. I'm done with Roto Rooter, and learned my lesson. Time to go back to a quality provider.

Description of Work: Day One two technicians came to replace faucets in the kitchen and utility sinks, and replace spout in upstairs bathtub. When appointment was made I asked if Angie's list deal would cover cost. After technicians got there cost increased hundreds of dollars, discount was given, but cost still was significantly more than perceived Angie's list deal. |One technician was basically the helper for the other, with their expertise in drain maintenance rather than plumbing. Day Two the bathroom spout fell off, they were called back out and noticed an error they made the first time. |Day Three we noticed a water spot in our garage ceiling which was under the upstairs bathroom. They were called out again and I requested a different technician to address the problem. The new technician came and was very polite and discovered source of problem with previous workmanship and he corrected the problem. Subsequently others had to come to repair water damaged ceiling in garage, which led to multiple days and visits for sheetrock repairing procedures. No other problems noted at this time. If the last technician had come first I don't believe ordeal would have transpired, next time I will use a plumber for plumbing and not drain cleaners for plumbing. The office did respond to correct problem when they were notified, just sorry initial experience lead to problems. |

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's list deal for my new home because we had a few plumbing issues that needed fixed. Since I knew I had more issues than the deal provided for, I wanted to the plumber to fix one of the issues so it would be covered by the deal. I had the plumber tell me which of the issues were covered when he arrived. The plumber showed up and was very nice at first, he fixed the issue and seemed to be very knowledgeable. I was happy with that part of the service. | |I wasn't fully moved into my home and did not have a printer, I explained that I could not print out the angies list deal, but could pull it up on my computer to prove that I had paid for it with the dates marked. The plumber explained that he could not give me the Angie's List deal price, because it's policy that they take the deal, printed out, back to the office. Considering I have seen smaller companies on Angies state they do not need the documentation because they were already paid and had receipt of this, I was surprised that a larger company did not have the technology to do this too. | |While I understand that they prefer to have the paper to take back to the office, I couldn't understand why the plumber couldn't call the main office, and verify by my confirmation number that I had already paid. At my insistence the plumber called his manager, who eventually approved it. The Plumber explained that he was sorry, but that it was company policy. The plumber was just following his orders and trying to do what the company asked. It turned into a frustrating situation due to a policy that is not customer friendly. If I had not insisted that they verify that I had already paid, I would have been charged a great deal more for the service when it was easily verifiable that I had paid. | |This company did a good job on the plumbing, but in my opinion due to the customer service side of things being such a hassle, I will think twice before using this company again.
