Description of Work: Replaced kitchen faucet. The plumber called when on his way, finished the work on time, and cleaned-up after himself. I will use them again.

Description of Work: Replaced a part in bathroom sink to stop leak and added an extension to commode to prevent overflow. The quality of service was satisfactory as stated in my initial review. However I was not satisfied with the additional labor charge. After talking with, Ted Johnson, Fuel Training Manager, I am satisfied with the adjustment he agreed to make. He agreed to refund the $60.00 additional labor charges plus $47.16 parts charges. I am pleased that Roto Rooter is willing to correct an egregious error. I will be agreeable to using their services in the future.

Description of Work: First floor toilets wouldn't flush fully; water was backing up into showers. A plumber told us about a savings coupon for Roto-rooter if we joined Angie's list, so we joined and bought the coupon. Roto-rooter called us within an hour and offered to set up an appointment for the next day (said they would come that night if it was an emergency). In the meantime, we used 2 bottles of clorox down the drains, waited afour hours, and that action cleared the clog, so canceled the service call. This is almost a week later, and no problems, so requested coupon reimbursement - which is being graciously granted.

Description of Work: I had a sewage backup into my house. I called the first company I could think of, and the one that had an Angie's list deal. Guy 1 came out within an hour of my call, but almost 4 hours later, the clog was not cleared. Guy 1 spent a lot of time on the phone and running out to smoke. He didn't have the right piece of equipment to do it, and at that point, it was so late that I would have had to pay "after hours" fees to call anyone else. So, I spent the night in a house full of sewage, not able to even wash my hands without going over to the neighbor's house. I also noticed that after Guy 1 left, the piece of equipment that he drug into my house had gouged out my front door threshold in two places. The next morning, Guy 2 didn't show up until after 9:00. He was extremely professional, got right to work, and fixed the problem. I showed him the damage to the threshold and he told me to get a quote from a carpenter to have it fixed and Roto-Rooter would cover the cost. While at the house, Guy 2 gave me an estimate to replace the damaged sewer line. It was almost $2000 more than all the other estimates I got from other companies. IF Guy 1 had come out first, I don't think I would have rated this company so poorly. However, Guy 1 really blew it for them; not to mention the high prices. I won't be using Roto-Rooter again.

Description of Work: He unstuck our kitchen drain. It required inserting the router twice to break the |clog.

Description of Work: They came to unclog a toilet. I had tried everything from chemical to mechanical approach. They showed up on time and did the work. Everything was fine except for the fact that they scratched the inside of the toilet. Like everybody else, they inflate the price to make you believe that you got a great deal.

Description of Work: Replaced my toilet. I purchased the coupon through Angie's List for $250 of service for $79. I thought this would be a good deal considering we just realized that one of my toilets upstairs had a leak and we thought it might be the valve, but of course we are not the experts. When the person came out to look at the problem (for minutes max), they found it to be a small crack in the bowl of the toilet and recommended replacing it. I went out that night to Lowes an got a new toilet for them to replace the next day. They replaced the toilet the next day. (took 30 minutes max) They charged me the following, $104.50 for service call just to look at the toilet. Then $296 for installing the toilet. (Lowes would have only charged $79 to install). So in actuality I ended up paying out of pocket $230 for an hour's worth of work. Coupon was useless and I felt ripped off. If I had known they were so ridiculously costly compared to other vendors, I would have never bought this coupon. Don't ever purchase if you like to keep your money.

Description of Work: Vendor came for some simple plumbing issues such as a leaky toilet. Had some other jobs for an estimate, change shower head, kitchen faucet with water filter. Estimates of cost were exorbitant. Therefore I did not follow up with this vendor.

Description of Work: Had a clog in a stand up shower. They brought in a machine to unclog it. The machine they used rattled so bad on the tile, I thought the tile was going to crack so I ask him if I could put a towel under it. Also asked him to look at the toilet because it was really hard to flush, he said there wasnt anything wrong with it(he said it was a "real mans toilet" and that it was fine) . The next day I went to lowes and explained to them my problem and they told me it was possibly due to an old flush valve seal. They were exactly correct and only cost me 6 dollars for 2 new ones. The only upside to their service was that they would come out free if the shower clogs again within 6 months

Description of Work: Purchased $79 Big Deal for $250 Worth of Plumbing Labor

Description of Work: I had purchased a new kitchen tap and needed it installed as my other one was old and had started dripping. With the Angie's list discount the price was fair at $89.00 but I would not have paid the regular price of $260.00 that the company said they normally charge for this.

Description of Work: I purchased this deal in order to have a leaky toilet fixed. Unfortunately due to a miscommunication with our landlord, she had already ordered a brand new toilet, which has in the mean time been installed. I let the company know and they said it would not be a problem to have the deal refunded. They were very prompt and courteous. Thank you.

Description of Work: My initial appointment was made very easily, but then they called within 30 minutes of it to reschedule it for the next day. I was able to be home for the re-scheduled appointment, so set it up for the next day. They were within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time and went to work. They did not, however, resolve the issue, although they did try. (They didn't make any suggestions as to what I should try next, despite my asking.)
