Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Had two french drains cleared in front lawn that were completely clogged with mud/roots/rocks. It cost $359 to have Roto-Rooter clear them with the hydro jetter (after the Angie's List discount). Chris Lane did a great job. He arrived at the expected time, was friendly, professional, and completed the work in about an hour. He also offered a suggestion on how to keep the pipe exit point in lawn clear to prevent future issues.

I called RotoRooter and the person on the phone was very courteous and knowledgeable and asked good questions. He said someone would arrive to my home within the hour, and they did. I also received an email confirmation of the call and scheduled time right away. The plumber, David, was very courteous, knowledgeable, extremely efficient, and fixed the problem. David also was able to do an additional plumbing task of installing a toilet. I am thoroughly impressed with RotoRooter.

I hired Roto Rooter because we just moved to the area, I had already had a weekend emergency, they came, and it worked out ok. This time, a combination of shady practices and my laziness resulted in a bad experience. For my prior weekend emergency, I was informed of $70/half hour rate. Pricey, but, for this adventure, I knew I had half hour or less of work to do and a $50 off coupon. I scheduled the appointment 5 days in advance. I was given a 2 hour window. He arrived more than half an hour past that. So. No point in scheduling these folks in advance. He then quoted over $200 for taking off and old sprayer and putting the new one that I already had on. Wha? I immediately complained. Rates were $70/half hour before. My bad, I should have asked for a quote. He points to a printed price sheet. And he tells me it is $70 if he doesn't use tools. The minute a tool is used, price sheet. The previous visit, tools were used, but...oh well. He then says if he can do the sprayer by hand without a tool and if I forgo a warranty on the work, he will do it for $70. I'm like, ok, do it. He does it. I ask about the sink not producing water on cold side. He says it is. I asked if he was sure (you need to run hot water before it gets hot). He says he would need to charge a diagnostic fee to be sure and he already waived it for the sprayer. Wha? Diagnostic for sprayer? We all knew what was wrong, no favors, there, bud. Guess what? I still have no cold water from the tap. Anyhoo, we settle up (less than 15 minutes after arrival) and he now won't take the coupon. I showed that coupon when he arrived. If I paid the actual over $200 price, he would have taken it. This is sleazy behavior. Not hiring them again unless I'm desperate midnight on a weekend.

The dispatcher called twice to give me updates on when the technician would arrive. He got here on time, immediately diagnosed the problem & cleared roots from the line. He also gave me valuable information on how to avoid a similar problem in the future. I am very pleased with their overall professionalism and the technician's concern for my problem. The visit was well worth the cost, and I am thoroughly pleased with the outcome & cost.

My driveway was flooded. I called Roto-Rooter to come out and find the issue. Robert very quickly found the problem and fixed it. He was so kind. I am definitely going to use this company to come out and fix all my other plumbing issues. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know.

They didn't do anything other than turn off. It cause a whole avalanche of navigation and home warranty issue. They just turned it off.

Had an outdoor faucet that was leaking because of a cracked vent. When the tech arrived, he immediately said that to replace the faucet would be $1500 because he needed to open up interior walls. The leak was coming from a vent on the top of the faucet that was removable. Asked if he could find the part or cap it. Said he would have to check with his supplies and see what he could do. Never heard from him again. After waiting, went to a local plumbing supply house. While they did not have the part, they helped me find it online and ended up solving it myself for about the same price as the deal. Have used Roto-Rooter before and always had good experiences but this one is a total failure.

The staff on the phone and in person were pleasant and professional. My plumber arrived on time and completed the job quickly and accepted my Angie's List coupon with no problem. It was a great. I had used them in the past and I will definitely use them again in the future.

The technician arrived during the scheduled time window. He was professional and courteous. The repair was difficult because one of the two heating elements was frozen in place and difficult to extract. He persisted till the job was done, and never uttered a cross word. He cleaned up after the work was done, and stayed for about 15 minutes to be certain that the water heater operated properly. It was as good a repair experience as I have ever had.

Desmond Green was fantastic. I called RotoRooter Sunday at 215pm for a leaking water heater. They gave me a window of between then and 6pm Received a courtesy call 30mins ahead and Desmond was there at 3pm. He was quickly able to diagnose the water heater issue and was thorough in his rationale to wait until tomorrow to replace instead of buying from Lowes tonight (quality and brand option limited). Explained all of my replacement options and pros cons. This review however is for the service he did perform today, an "oh by the way" fix of a constantly dripping toilet. Installed new fill valve and flapper. Took the time to show and explain the parts to me and how they worked. I would definitely recommend Desmond and I will request him by name if and when I need any plumbing help again in the future!

It went well. It took a while to find the cause of the issue. Got it resolved. The customer service was great. The guy did not discount my price applying the Angie's list coupon, but 2 calls with the service team resulted in a refund.

Stan arrived within an hour and a half of requestingredients service online. Was polite and responsive. Service was quick under an hour and he asked if I wanted to see what was removed. Great service in a pinch after the toilet backed up into the house doing laundry.Thank for getting the water flowing the right way again.

,Called Roto Rooter around 8:30 PM on Jan. 25, 2016 seeking help for stopped up drain. Was told plumber Stan would be here at 11 PM. Stan was prompt in arriving and getting started work. He found a blockage with plumbers snake and determined with camera that it was the AT&T conduit which had broken and passed through perpendicular to my drain line. Stan gave me an estimate for repairing the drain line and said he could take care of it the next day (1/26/2016). He said we could use toilets but not to flush any paper, etc. Stan said he would contact ULoco at 7 AM to have them mark any lines that would in vicinity of proposed digging. He said he would be here at 10 AM. On 1/26/2016, Stan showed up very shortly after 10 AM and went right to work opening up a large hole to facilitate making needed repairs. Because of the location at which the AT&T conduits passed through my drain line, the extent of necessary repairs required an even larger hole and removal of more drain line and clean out pipe. Stan did an extremely thorough job and made the needed repairs in a very professional manner. While we were waiting for the glue to set, and before checking for any leakage, Stan cleaned up the area around the work site of tools and materials. After leak test, he back-filled the hole to ground level. I was extremely pleased with Stan and the work he did. I would use him again in a heart beat for plumbing work! My only regret is that I forgot to ask if Roto Rooter had discounts for Angie's List members.

The tech was great and very professional. Went above and beyond making suggestions and telling us some do's and don't foe the future. May need to have the main line cleaned out.

Scott came out about an hour or so after I called. The two of us tried to turn of the well pump but couldn't find the breaker. He went to do other calls while I waited for the neighbor to come home and shut off the breaker. By the time we got it off it was late so I told Scott to come back in the morning to finish the job. Scott came back promptly in the morning and had the pipe changed in a half hour. Great service, nice guy. Very pricey for the area.

They were a rip-off, but I never used the coupon because their services were five-times higher than everybody else’s. They wanted to charge a thousand dollars for something I got done for $200 and it took the guy an hour. They did not charge me anything because I was not even there. I was on speaker phone listening to what they were saying so they just went and there were no additional charges. They did not work. I do not remember any issues with their responsiveness. I think I received a reply within a day or two.

We had a backed up sump pump late Friday night. Your plumber Stan came out and diagnosed the problems very quickly. Stan could not make the repair that night due to the possibility of needing a new pump. Stan promptly returned at 8 a.m. Saturday morning and was done by 9:30 a.m. Fortunately for us, Stan was honest and our pump only needed cleaning. This saved us about $1,600. Stan tought me how add your product once a month as preventative maintenance. We were very pleased and will definitely call Roto Rooter again if needed and ask for Stan.

They looked at my faucet because I had a leak and advised me to have him inspect the faucet to see what was causing it. I believe it the type of faucet that was causing the problem. He took the coupon and I do not think the service was worth the $25.
