Description of Work: The service technician was top notch. He was knowledgeable, kind and provided me information I was not able to get on the phone. When I called to make the appointment, they would not give out pricing. When the tech arrived, he was able to give me pricing on all their services at the current time. Although I didn't get their quote on the phone for a well pump out, they were the first available to come out and do it. Since other quotes from other companies were all within $10, I figured they must be in line and booked them. When he came out, I found out their price was over $150 more than others I had called. The technician made me aware of a coupon which helped a ton. I could not be happier with the service, but not with the pricing. Given they have set pricing, it should be able to be communicated on the phone. As such, I will not use them again since others will quote for basic services on the phone and they were so high.

Description of Work: Keith arrived promply. I had two leaks under the kitchen sink. The disposal was leaking and the sink strainer was leaking. Keith was finished in a hour and the problem is solved.

Description of Work: They used an auger to remove clog from plumbing line. They were professional, on-time, and courteous.

Description of Work: They had to snake the kitchen drain . They had an electric drain snake that would go 100 feet. I was pleased with the service I just found the price a bit high

Description of Work: We had a slow/clogged drain line (washing machine drain ). They unclogged it. I purchased a deal on Angie's List which gave me significant savings. I was able to purchase it after the service provider had arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by this, and delighted to save something close to $180, if I remember correctly.

Description of Work: Called Sunday to fix a drain pipe. Heard nothing all day. Called Monday. Said Simone would be here between 12-4. Called at 6:00. 'Should be soon'. Called at 7:00. 'You're next on the list'. It's nearly 10pm. No call, no show.

Description of Work: Roto Rooter is aware of my issue with them - they fixed the toilet -- no issue there. The problem is the way the coupon was written - and the ability to interpret the offer/coupon in different ways. My interpretion was much different and while we and RR discussed it - i still have yet to see any results from that discussion (i.e., i was to be copied on an email between RR and Angie's list). I won't hold my breath for that and will NEVER contact them again. It's simple principle at this point. I'm really disappointed at their unwillingness to see the customer's perspective.

Description of Work: Cleared the whole house drain which had defied several people's best efforts. He even replaced our toilet that had to weigh 75 pounds. He cleaned up afterwards.

Description of Work: Discovered block in line from crushed Orangeburg pipe on city side of line. Installed clean-out for City access and advised on obtaining work by City. City replaced portion of line to center of street the next day and backfilled cleanout and cut it to mower height, so Roto Rooter did not have to complete that part of scope. The company provided a partial refund based on this change and use of Angie's List coupons further reduced costs.

Description of Work: They were very professional. Located two leaks in the basement that were contributing to a major mold problem, stopped the leaks and treated all drains within the house. They explained that this was an Angie's list special and their usual charge for the degree of work they did would normally be more. RE: how did it go? It went very well. I would use them again for any drain/leak problem.

Description of Work: My garbage disposal was old and started leaking late one Sunday evening. Because it was an emergency, I called Roto-Rooter. During the conversation I identified myself as an Angie's List customer. The dispatcher told me about the deal they had going with Angie's List which saved me a lot of money on their labor. The technician came and mentioned that I could buy the same disposal they were going to install for half the price if I purchased it from Home Depot. That's what I did, and he installed it. So I saved money on the labor costs because of the Angie's List Deal, and I saved money on buying the disposal... and Rooto-Rooter was kind enough to point out to me how I could do that. I won't hesitate to use them again.

Description of Work: When I purchased, they did not call to set up appointment, but my credit card was charged for service. I called roto rooter and set up a time. Called that day to see if they were coming. I had asked for them to come early since I had a meeting. The man was nice, but did nothing for the problem. Used a pair of plyers to lift drain so it would drain better in bathroom. I have been so impressed with every service that I have had, but this communication or something did not work out.
