Description of Work: This was emergency service at night. The drain to the sewer was blocked. Tree roots had grown into the drain, blocking it. The plumber was at our house within just a few hours of being called. He spent about an hour or longer with a tool that cut the offending roots from the drain. I had never heard of this. The nearest tree was surprisingly far away from the underground drain. Apparently, a common plumbing event. So far, so good. They left us with a liquid to pour down the drain to help keep root activity at bay, and advice to switch from almost indestructible Charmin paper to Scott 5000 (apparently a problem everywhere in sewer systems in cities). The plumber was pleasant and very helpful. He called the next day to check on us.

Description of Work: They replaced a kitchen faucet and a bathroom faucet that we had purchased ahead of time. There were no unusual problems or circumstances to deal with. This took less than 2 hours. It seemed that the plumber was making up the rate as he went. He did not even ask to see my Angie's List coupon for $25 off of $75. This was very expensive and I will not plan to use them again. The work is of good quality but paying about $150 an hour for faucet installation - well, that's way too much.
