Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Roto-Rooter was very professional. They arrived on time, evaluated the problem and let us know that we needed a roofer instead of a plumber. No one tried to up sell us anything and there was no charge for the trip or diagnostic. Thank you Roto-Rooter. I will definitely use this service again.

He did the job in a reasonable time. Cleaned up the mess . No complaints . Was not cheap but feel it was done right.

I wasn’t that satisfied with Roto-Rooter the last time. The guy came out here and screwed up the job. It’s debatable where they screwed it up. What happened was, from my house to the street, you have line that runs to the street and from the house, and evidently I saw it, because he dug it up. I had tree roots in there forever, which of course meant there was a break somewhere in the connection because from the house there is a cast iron pipe that runs out from the house and it is connected to some kind of plastic pipe that runs into the street. The connection place where the tree roots got in and that thing kind of got a little flange. The pipe’s not straight, it has a narrowing part to it like a nipple on it or something. Anyway, he gets in there and starts messing with it. He is supposed to have a tool to cut that little piece off the end so he can put a new connection there. He has no tools so he starts using some clamps. He is too lazy to go to the store to get the tool and he didn’t have any blades to make a clean cut. So he use a tool that goes around the pipe and he breaks the whole end off. What that meant to me is that I’m going to have roots in there sooner or later. He patched it up and I let it go. Before we have the 5 inch pipe down to 4 inch pipe which fits perfectly to the next pipe. Now he broke the 4 inch off and we have a 4 and a half inch.

It went well. The technician showed up to my house in less than an hour.

Jeff did an outstanding job fixing my leaky toilet. He arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and provided me an estimate. He was very professional and thorough.

Called late on Friday afternoon - Stan arrived by 7 pm! Worked until 10 pm to diagnose and clear the roots from the sewer line. Showed me everything he was doing using a camera at the end of the drain snake. Came back at 7:30 am the next morning to excavate the area in our back yard, replace the broken sewer line, and had everything back in place by mid-afternoon. This was NOT an easy job! Stan was courteous, professional, and absolutely the most knowledgeable plumber I've ever worked with. His card is now on our fridge and I will NEVER call anyone else for our plumbing needs! No doubt I could have shopped the excavation job and saved a little money - but you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to plumbing. Now I know what a MASTER plumber is - Stan and Roto-Rooter have the experience, the equipment, and the RESULTS!! Way to go Stan!

The price was too high We had the pipes taken apart and knew it wasn't a clog in the trap, but since all the other sinks and toilets worked it wasn't a clog in the sewer line either. I expected to pay twice to 2 1/2 times as much as for a normal service call--he did come out within half an hour of my calling, on a weekday afternoon, when my regular plumber didn't have an opening until 8 days from now--but I didn't expect to pay 3 1/2 times more. The service man was very nice and professional and did not charge a trip fee. I have used them before when my kitchen sink was clogged and I couldn't wait a week (so I knew it was going to be expensive), and I would use them again in an emergency. The man said that any time he has to use an electric auger the set price is $345.00 I had just looked at Angie's list and saw a lot of $310.00 charges but I thought mine would be easier! Wrong.

The staff on the phone and in person were pleasant and professional. My plumber arrived on time We had a very slow flushing toilet. I broke down and Called Roto Rooter late Wednesday afternoon August. 3, 2016. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and professional. She was willing and ready to send a technician with in the next hour. I set a Thursday morning appointment. Thursday morning the technician (Derrick) called to let us know he was on his way. Derrick was right on time and did not waste time getting started. He ran a snake through the toilet with no results. He pulled the toilet took it out side and back flushed it with the garden hose. Then he brought in a very large heavy electric snake and started working in down the pipe. (That machine was extremely heavy and very hard to maneuver but he was extremely careful moving this electric snake in and out of the house and he was very tidy while operating it in the bathroom). The snake made it out to about the middle of the yard and could not / would not go further! The snake was pulled and out of the sewer pipe and in went the camera. Unfortunately when the camera hit the blockage you could not see anything but a black screen. This camera system shows exactly where the camera head is located and exactly how deep they have to dig. At this there were two questions. (1) How much is this going to cost and (2) Was there a remote possibility that the AT&T contractors broke the sewer line a couple days ago when they set up their machine to install their conduit? They said this happens more than you know! I accepted the revised bill for the repairs and said that I guess I would fight with AT&T if they broke our sewer line. To my surprise Derrick changes hats and turns into Roto-Rooter “PROJECT MANAGER” .. .. .. unbelievable!!!! Derrick takes the weight off of my shoulders and handles the project. He calls the AT&T’s contractor, the USIC’s Utility Services, and then calls for another R-R technician (Adolfo) to help with the dig. They dug and found AT&T’s conduit driven right through our sewer pipe. Derrick had AT&T’s come back to the site to re-rout their conduit so they hopefully not hit and break the sewer line again. Derrick & Adolfo re-snaked the sewer both direction to get all of the mud out of the system, they documented the damage with photos and had the sewer camera put pictures on a DVD, they replaced the damage pipe. They cleaned up the area around the work site they back-filled the hole to ground level. Roto Rooter did a great job from the initial call to the end of the job. Rotor-Rooter is billing this work direct to AT&T’s contractor. We received outstanding customer service and we would use them again.

Excellent. The drain works well now, and the problem was fixed on Sunday within two hours of my call.

They came right out and had it fixed in 15 mins and the price was great!!!

There prices were ridiculously high.

I called them at 10:30 am and they came to fix the two drains and left my house by 11:30am same day. If that isn't service I don't know what is. The Technician Scott was great and very personable. I felt the price was a little high even with the $40 angies list coupon but I guess that comes with fast and great service. Would definitely recommend !

It was nothing that their plumber did. The plumbing part of the operation was great. We had a break in a water line in the house. The plumber came and did a great job. Subsequently, we had water damage inside the house as a result. Then, Roto Rooter also came with their people to basically vacuum out the water and put the fence in to disperse what was left over. I did not think that that was particularly well done.

Always have and always will use your services. I have always been pleased when repairs are needed on our home. John (3956) has had been able to put all the puzzle back together. Our home was built around 1975 so he scratches his head for a moment and delivers his magic. I highly recommend John. He takes time to explain the problem and makes everything work like a charm. He is truly an asset to the company.

They're very good. It just depends on who gets sent out to your house. In general they're really good.

The technician arrived promptly, identified the problem and repaired the toilet. He also answered several questions for me and he did a couple of quick repairs on another toilet and on the bathtub drain. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that he did and the way that he did it. I would definitely recommend him to others.

I had specific drips, a poorly flushing toilet, a slow drain, and a malfunctioning exterior faucet, our most challenging problem, needing attention. Our assigned plumber, Kevin, proceeded efficiently and thoroughly to take care of these problems and to ensure the completeness of his repairs. He meticulously cleaned up after himself and took care not to mar our hardware. He further checked out every drain, toilet, and faucet in my home. The service charge was very reasonable for the work undertaken and accomplished. I was very pleased with the service.

I wish I could flush this experience, but sadly, my toilet is still clogged. I'll have to see if a competitor will take the plunge. Summary: Terrible punctuality. Failed to be on time for a 2-hour time windows, for two appointments, scheduled two days in a row. Company was anticipating being 30-mins late to my first scheduled appointment before I re-scheduled. Company was anticipating being 45-mins late for my second scheduled appointment before I canceled. Both times the Dispatchers acted as if the 2-hr time window didn't matter. I will not be re-scheduling this time. In my experience, a customer's initial interaction with a business is a direct representation of how the business will perform while completing the services. Therefore, I will go with a competitor. Details. The following are the details of my (bad) experience with Roto-Rooter in Charlotte, NC: Tuesday, April 26th. In the morning, I made an internet appointment with Roto-Rooter for the next day. That afternoon I decided to call Roto-Rooter to see if they could actually come sooner. I was connected to their Dispatcher and she indicated that the 8PM to 10PM time slot was open, so I booked it. At 8:46PM, the Dispatcher called me and said that the Plumber was at another call and that he should be leaving that call in 1/2 hour. At 10PM, the Dispatcher called me again and said the Plumber was on his way. I asked how long he would be and the Dispatcher indicated "at least 1/2 hour." Hence, the Plumber was anticipating being 30-mins late before I re-scheduled. I re-scheduled for the next day during the 6PM to 8PM time slot. Wednesday, April 27th. At 4:12PM, the Plumber called me directly and asked if he could come "early." I could not accommodate any times outside of the schedule 2-hour window though due to work. At 6:49PM, the Dispatcher called me and said they are waiting for a Plumber to free up. I asked how long and he said an hour at the most. I told him that I cannot do an appointment that was outside the scheduled 6PM to 8PM window. At 7:43PM, the Dispatcher called me and said a Plumber is now available, but the earliest he could get to my house was 8:45PM. Therefore, the Plumber was anticipating being 45-mins late before I canceled completely.
