Raleigh Tree Service

Had to postpone due to weather and scheduling issues. Finally got an appointment date of Oct. 29. They made me an offer for a full day of work that was a better deal than I would have got applying the coupons to a partial day. They worked twelve hours and did an outstanding job. I am very impressed.

It was great. They did a good job. They were very thorough. They got rid of all the junk, everything was clean when they left. They did a nice job. They were great guys. I kept all their information here, I have their phone number and everything else.

The owner came out to provide an estimate for all of the work I wanted done. I felt like the list of prices and costs he gave me was unrealisticly high. I refused to let them do any work because of this issue.

Managed to get a wood chipper down my difficult driveway. Cut up tops of two trees that had been lightning struck. Shredded those and others storm fallen branches. Shredded and left mulch pile per my request. Cleaned up very well. Due to my delay in posting this review, date is VERY tentative.

Waited for 2 months for him to come to my home to give me an estimate. He came out we looked over the property and he left and I never heard from him again.

He was awesome! He did a really great job for us and we have hired them again.

Got the estimate from the owner of the company. The cost of what I wanted done was not be covered by the Angie's List coupon I purchased. I paid an additional $80.00. The team that cut down the trees were professional, prompt, and very nice.

Will, called to ask if I was able to get my emergency resolved and I told him no. Everyone I talked too were extremely busy. He asked if I still wanted him to help me with this hazadous conditions. I said I would greatly appreciate his help. We agreed upon a price to get the limb removed. It was my birthday and I had a party to attend at my daughter's house. I was able to electronically agree to the terms, conditions and price from my daughter's home. When my wife and I got home, Raleigh Tree Service (Will) far exceeded our expectations. They removed other dangerous limbs over my driveway, cleaned up all debris on the ground and left the site emaculate. I am looking forward to meeting Will this Saturday when he comes to give me an estimate on removing some other trees.

Overall very pleased. Christian and his team showed up on time for the quote, we agreed on the work and start day and they were flexible on start time after I had to reschedule due to replacement siding job that proceeded them. We had about 15 trees cleared out including a couple of very ones that were leaning over the house and/or dangerously close. No damage was done to the house during the process (and we had lots of limbs hanging over the house). The team was prompt, courteous, and professional throughout the experience. They brought in a huge crand and several workers. While they were there my neighbor was able to get a couple of his trees quoted for removal and removed as well that were between our properties. While the work was not cheap, I was pleased with the result. We were not overcharged - all work was done with no damage, no hassle and they cleared all branches and limbs from their work and cleaned the culdesac / sidewalks after doing their work. I would recommend them again.

The work went fine. They got the work done and it was not a big deal, so I was very appreciative.

They did a great job, cleaned everything up and we were happy with it. He did exactly what we wanted. He seemed really knowledgeable about some of our smaller trees that may be diseased and we will probably call him back to do more work with our smaller trees.

Christian was extremely professional and did a great job. He came out to give an estimate beforehand and followed up in a timely fashion. He spent almost 12 hours - or perhaps a little more - on the job and everything was completed as discussed. I am a REALTOR and have now added CCF Trees to our recommended service provider list. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The owner came out and did the work himself. He listened to our tree concerns, made several recommendations, and did the work himself. He was very thorough, had a great work ethic, and loved what he does- which made him a pleasure to do business with. He is a former military man and I would highly recommend anyone to use CFC Tree Service for any of their tree work. He is honest as well- one of my shrubs was damaged during the process of felling a tree and he gave me a credit for the full value of the shrub (even though it grew back fine and did not need to be replaced).

The team was excellent and did more than I expected. We had very heavy foliage around the house with trees 3 and 4 stories high, preventing sunlight from reaching the grass. The size of the trees required them to climb up into the trees to thin them out. They were careful with the work in the trees, using techniques that didn't damage the trees, the house or the existing landscaping. They spotted a dead tree and offered a really good price to take it down, something that wasn't on the original list. All the branches & limbs were chopped and mulched into a natural area in our yard so we had no costs associated with the removal. They cleaned up the trash upon completion. The yard looks significantly better, the trees are not over hanging the roof, and now the light will actually make it to the grass and the plants below.

No service was ever actually performed. From the start, it was rather difficult getting ahold of him. I called him several times in June, and then a few more times in July. After many messages, he finally responded to set up an appointment. He came on a Saturday and told me that he would get back to me with an estimate. About 3 or 4 weeks later I finally got the estimate, and it was way too high. He was trying to charge me over $1,100 and I ended up getting the job done by someone else for $400.

Christian came out to give an estimate for trimming a tree and one tree removal. He was very honest about how much it would cost to get all the equipment necessary from Raleigh to Chapel Hill, which I completely understood given the cost of gas, and said that the estimate would likely be high. The estimate, as I expected, was quite high and elected to get my "Big Deal" money back from Angie's List.

The work is scheduled to be done in November. We would have had it done already, except we kept putting it off, so now he is busy so we have to wait a bit longer. We have a plan to take down a big old tree on our front yard that has taken on an awkward shape due to another tree competing for light & space. He will include root grinding & cleanup. I will update when the work is completed.

Trimmed a number of trees, removed downed trees, and cut down a tree. All tree debris was removed.

The provider, CCF Tree Service, was professional and knowledgeable. They provided a quote on the day following a visit to my property to review my service needs, which primarily involved the removal of a large dead tree. However, the quoted price seemed very high and I solicited a subsequent estimate from another contractor (an Angie's List A-rated member). The original quote from CCF Tree Services was $1,435 while the competitive estimate was $660 which included a few minor services not included in the CCF quote. I feel that the CCF quote was unreasonably high. I also think the fact that I have a $400 coupon purchased on Angie's List may have provided CCF with an incentive to provide a higher quote because essentially I'd already pre-paid part of my services. If the second estimate was even close to the quote provided by CCF I would proceed with the original price and use my coupon with CCF. I think the differential is simply too great and I request a refund so I may proceed with the second provider. I am planning to ask for my money back from the Angie's Discount Certificate I bought. Mr. Etheridge said the travel costs would make the job too expensive for the budget I had allotted. I had bought the $199 deal for $400 of Tree Service work. I am disappointed that I never received a quote from CCF Tree Service to consider. In the future please ask businesses to list the range of geographic areas they cover for the discount deals.

CCF came for a full day of trimming and cleaning up. Then the next day came to cut off the upper branches that were a hazard, not only to my property but my home. After all the branches (some branches looked like trees), they cleaned up all the wood, debris and even blew my driveway. I am very impressed and will use them again in the back yard, now that the front yard looks so clean!

They were good. They were very efficient in bringing down the tree and in bringing in someone to grind the stump. However, we also had a gentleman who walked around the property with us regarding more trees to be worked on, but I don’t think these items were communicated to the workers, and the work wasn’t done and we were not charged.

Christian was a delightful young man. Very knowledgeable and professional. A damaging storm went through the area right after we purchased his " Big Deal." Clients were lined up. Christian stayed in touch with us making us aware of his progress. We were not an emergency and told him so. He did our work sooner than we anticipated, worked within our budget and did an exceptional job. We are pleased to recommend his company CCF trees.
