They arrived promptly and the new heater and a/c were installed within a few hours. They have been running perfectly for a couple of months now and we are very happy with the service!

I checked with several coma oboes and got quotes. Progressive was by far the easiest to deal with, most honest, great price and great product.

1/9/2014 Sheldon came and checked 2 furnaces, both of which he confirmed worked fine. One of them was draining condensation through a 3/8" pipe and freezing outside during the record low temperatures we had in Raleigh first week in January 2014. Because of the smaller diameter this pipe was freezing up and shutting off the furnace due to accumulation of condensation water. He suggested to reattach the 3/8" plastic pipe to a larger 1" PVC pipe inside the basement. For rerouting of the pipe, he had to stop at Home Depot to pick up two T couplers for the pipes. He then cut the 3/8" plastic pipe in the basement and connected it to an older 1" PVC pipe that was also draining to the outside. He charged me a whopping $229 in addition to the to $119 trip charge for a total of $348 for 2.5 hrs of work from which 1 hour was spent on a trip to Home Depot to pick up the two T-couplers. His cost of materials couldn't have been more than $15. 3/5/2014 Since the "FIX" we have had the furnace shutdown 4 times for entire days - yes every time it freezes outside, the furnace is still shutting down as the larger pipe on the outside is freezing. Sheldon did not resolve our problem, rather took $348 and ran.

Progressive Plumbing confirmed that the toilet itself was defective with hairline crack. There was no charge for this service call. I then purchased a new toilet, noted the difference in construction between it and the old one. I installed it and after nearly 2 years, it has been leak free.

I called the company because of storm/tree damage, which took out both my power and caused my water main to burst-Progressive could do both. From my initial call to the arrival of the electrician and plumber, I couldn't have been more pleased. At no point did I feel taken advantage of and I was back in my house within days, not a week or more, as anticipated (had to wait for the city inspections!) They even had to deal with the insurance company on my behalf. I would use them again and highly recommend them for your 'mechanical' needs.

All of the workers were very professional and delivered over and above what was promised. I will use the people again in the future. Both my wife and I are very happy. Arrived when they said they would be there and completed the job as quoted. It was a Friday and the workers could have taken off for the weekend but they stayed until 7:00pm to make sure the job got done.

They arrived on time and were nice to work with. They cleaned up after the work was done and didn't leave any messes. I liked that they were up front about the costs and gave me different options on the work. He explained everything that they were going to during the install as well.

Darrell and his team installed a new HVAC system, indoor and outdoor units, as well as a new thermostat. They replaced the original 25-year-old system and did a great job troubleshooting compatibility issues, mainly involving space (HVAC has changed a lot over 25 years). They were professional and polite and walked me through the process and were responsive when I had questions. Darrell returned within 24 hours to finish do some follow up work and finishing touches. No curveballs. I'm really happy with the service all around

Called and made an appointment, really liked the sound of the person on the phone, was looking forward to good service. Said he would call. We had a 2 pm appointment time and I said I would meet him at the house at that time. Left work and arrived at home 10 mins. early. Waited until 2:30 and had not yet heard anything. So called him and he said he was finishing up the last job. Told him this was a bad start. If they can't at least call to say they are running late, how can I count on them for anything else. My time is just as important as theirs and they obviously didn't respect that fact. very disappointing.

Contacted Progressive on 1/20/2013. On 1/21/2013 someone returned my call at approximately 07:45a.m and said a repairman could come out between 08:00a.m. - 09:00a.m. I was very pleased with the prompt same day repair service. I would definitely use them again.

Glen showed up on time and came in the house with dirty boots before i could say a word. next he walked through my bedroom and started work on the toilet. he did not empty the water from the toilet and got water everywhere he dragged the toilet to. now he is stepping in the water and the mud on his work boots is loosening and making a wet muddy mess on my bathroom floor. he says he needs parts to finish the job and goes to get them not cleaning up the mess. he finished the job which was technically correct and good work. however, at the end he tells me the 2 foot crack in my bathroom tile has been there all along. i asked him why he did not point that out at this beginning of the job? he said if he had to point out every home owners imperfections he could not get his job done. I said with a crack that sizable he should have pointed it out from the start and he responded with 'well i would like to know when a earthquake is coming, but that's not going to happen either' then he said aggressively 'i did not crack your tile!' never, never doing business with them again.

Technician arrived on time. The technician reviewed the inspector report and made recommendations for how to make repairs. He examined all areas before providing a cost breakdown to fix each issue (beyond the service call fee). He fixed an issue with a loose breaker, fixed a problem with a GFCI connection not existing on a jet tub, and caulked around exterior lighting.

,This was a big project where they had to also fix code violations from the original installation, when the house was built. They seemed to be able to expand and contract the manpower as needed for the various parts of the job. The end result was great. The only area that could use some improvement, was better preparation to keep the house clean. While we were warned to cover stuff, we did not anticipate some of the areas that they would be working, and thus those areas got dirty. They also did not adequately cover the carpet in one spot where they had to drag the old system through and soiled the carpet there.

In fixing the main line water leak I was expecting it the pipe to remain as all copper, however part of this pipe was replaced with a plastic tube. The shower faucet rebuild only lasted a few months before the faucet wasn't working properly, and I will now have to pay an additional amount of money to have the faucet replaced.

A previous HVAC company had told us we needed a new solenoid at a cost of $223 plus labor. We did not tell the Progressive guy this, we just told him that our humidifier was not working. He came in on-time, with tools, ready to work, and within 10 minutes had decided that it just needed cleaning. He improvised a wire to clean it with, and we provided some Dawn. He worked very hard to get it clean, and re-installed it, checked it, and it was working! He would have just charged us $89 for the service call, but we had just canceled the service contract with the other company, so we bought a service agreement for one year and he only charged us $44 for the visit. So, we got a year's service, plus the repair for less than the other company wanted to replace the solenoid.

Very pleased with servcie, this is the second time I have used Progressive and it has been service the same day of call in. The customer service personnel always call and give you the name of service person that will be arriving and the approximate time of arrival.

Daryl and Tyler, both professional and courteous, exceeded my expectation of service. Hard-working, prompt and took the time to walk me through their daily plan of action and answer any and all questions that i threw at 'em. The new duct work, as a previous reviewer acknowledged, is a 'work of art'. Would HIGHLY recommend for similar work. Thanks Progressive!

Called their main office in the morning. They promptly handled the call and told me they could have someone at the house between 1 and 3 o'clock. They called in advance of their arrival at 1:15. Glen assessed what needed to be done and told me he'd need to get some additional equipment. They returned shortly after 4:00 with the equipment and additional worker. They completed the work by 7 PM. Good guys in the field and good people working at their main office.

The guy that did the job seemed to be very knowledgeable. He took responsibility from the beginning to the end of the job. He did a very meticulous job and the inspector didn't find any coils with it. We were satisfied with the work he did. He seemed competent and did a good job as far as we know. He finished the job in one day and he came when he said he would. He was very apologetic about the cost of the job. He was right on with the price as far as we know. We only checked with the gas company and they gave us the same price as Progressive. We had some last minute changes and he was able to respond to that.

There services were okay, they are nice and did a good job. The pricing have increased a bit.

Progressive came out Sunday but did not have the unique part for our well. They assessed each piece (bladder tank, capacitor box, and well head power unit) They did follow-up research on the power ratings for our well pump and found that it was working within normal range. It was determined that our capacitor unit needed to be replaced. They worked very hard to get the part even had it shipped overnight (it was the last one found in the state of NC). The employees were very informed on what was needed and fixed the well as soon as they had the part. They were kind, polite and fast and did not leave any mess for me to clean. They called to let me know when the would be at my home within 30 minutes, this allowed me to stay at work as long as possible. They honored the original quote even though the part cost them more than they estimated. I would definitely use them again.

Don't use any harsh chemical drain cleaners if the clog is slow as molasses, as the chemicals may settle in the P-trap and could splash the person disconnecting the trap. Do have the under-sink cabinet cleared out so access is easy and no time is wasted.

I had them out to do a big project. They were very professional and always ontime. They were very curutious in their service. They did a great job and were very skilled workers.

They showed up on time. They stuck with their estimate.
