We agreed on a time of 1 pm. I had been at my sister's in Hillsborough the night before. I returned home at 12:35 pm exactly. He did not show. When I emailed him that evening asking what happened, his response was nobody answered the door so he left. He said he was in a hurry, that he had five jobs scheduled and I needed to find someone closer to home (he is in Raleigh, I in Chapel Hill). The only thing I can figure is that he showed up before I got home, forgetting that we had agreed on a time of 1 pm. I later listened to a voicemail he left on my landline saying he was in the driveway, he did not say what time it was, but between the doorbell and the phone ringing, plus i had opened my windows after arriving home so I would have heard a car drive up, if it had been at the agreed upon time I would have heard it. Angies List did refund my money promptly.

Nelson did an excellent job. I bought the caulking special to work in one area up to 2 hours. Because my kitchen was so small and he was so efficient, he was able to caulk both the kitchen and tub in less than an hour! Thank you!

The fan is up and working fine. I had asked for a flush mount and it actually drops down about 3 inches, I'm not sure whether that was within their control or not.

I received an email from Angie's List offering a deal of $129.00 for 3 hours of SKILLED handyman services. I renovate distressed properties for a living so I was on a tight time frame to complete the job before listing the house for sale. This vendor was contacted directly by phone to inquire as to how far out he was scheduling so that I would not purchase the deal if his schedule was 2 - 3 weeks out, saving us both some time and aggravation. After a brief conversation in which I could hear that he was continuing to work at something even while speaking on the phone, he asked if I was a "flipper" and when I said yes, I did residential renovations he became rude and said he did not work with "flippers" . Before I could ask him why he did not or even utter another word, he promptly hung up on me. I found this behavior to be childish and totally unprofessional and would never recommend that anyone looking for any type of construction or handyman related assistance engage the services of this company - EVER.
