We weren't able to get scheduled so I began seeking to use another company.

Came on time and replaced the fan quickly.

Used via an Angie List Deal- By far the most informative and personably professional I have ever met. He made sure that I was aware of every part of the process before, during and after.

I thought he was fantastic. He came in and knows exactly what he's doing. He was here less than an hour and I was very pleased with the work.

Nelcon contacted me the same day after purchasing the Service through Angie List. We agreed upon the service date/time. He showed up exactly at the time given. He analyzed the current Fan placement and issue with it. He then proceeded to remove the bad Fan and then Installed the new Fan. He was attentive to the details and ensure every component was put in place correctly and securely. He even educated me on what Wiring we won't be using as the new Fan doesn't require it. And within 30 minutes the fan was replaced, new one operational. I will surely recommend him to anyone who is thinking of getting their Fan replaced.

He initially tried to call me and my old land line was listed on my account; I emailed him back immediately, gave my cell. We made an appointment on Friday; I emailed him to confirm on Thursday, needing to reschedule for after 4 o'clock, which would not work for me. Rescheduled for Monday morning and after waiting an hour and a half, I canceled the work because he never showed up.

Great provider! Fit us in quickly, showed up on time, and did quality work.

Nelson was friendly, responsive, punctual, willing to work around my very busy schedule (not true for other handymen I had contacted). I live alone and it's important for me to know the stranger entering my home is a professional. He was efficient, knowledgeable and got the work done in less time than anticipated. I will definitely be using him again.

I had a smoke alarm that continued to chirp after the battery was changed and after I had performed a reset per instructions online. I called Nelson (with Nelco) for advice on what I should do about the chirping alarm. He suggested I purchase another alarm and call him when I had it. He worked me into his schedule immediately. I read online that the life cycle was about 10 years. I was way over on my alarms so requested he change all of them. He changed them quickly and efficiently. He was prompt, professional, and very courteous. I am already planning to use his services on my next projects.

It took several attempts to get a hold of him. When he did show up, he was not very friendly. He did not communicate well, and did not want to talk much when he got here. It was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend him. He got mad when I asked him if he had done the work before. He left, and did not do the job.

Note: This guy routinely blasts his "F" reviewers by saying they must be nuts since they said work was performed but then describe the fact that the work was NOT done. 10 years on Angie's List, he should know that they REQUIRE you to check Y or N if work was done OR money paid. It is INHERENT in a purchased deal that money has been paid (head scratcher?) We agreed on 9:30 via email. Confirmed. I have work that I start at 9 and I manage contractors online. He showed up at 9 and basically said oops. I had just gotten out of the bathroom and gotten coffee, so I let him in and chatted for a minute about the project when he slammed the toilet seat shut as if he was offended that I'd been in the bathroom before he showed up a half hour early. I started to excuse myself because I had to check on my work, when he asked what kind of work I did. I asked in a friendly way "why do you ask?" He said he finds that some people in certain industries say certain things, made reference to past jobs going poorly/poor reviews based on people in certain industries. I said I do marketing and that was the end of the conversation if I recall. He then seemed surprised I didn't have materials because they weren't included in the deal. I figured I must have missed something, so I apologized and we rescheduled this week. On reviewing the deal, it clearly states materials are included. Honestly, I should have read the reviews going from F-A because what other people are writing accurately reflects his demeanor. He made me uncomfortable the way he lorded around my house. He also is obviously not even familiar with his own advertising at best, or is shady at worst. I do not wish to have him back to "finish" the job he didn't start and I wish to have a refund EDIT: Nelson emailed me a demeaning, unprofessional diatribe, requesting that I edit my review. So I will leave his email he sent to me verbatim: "I am curious as to what changed between your two messages yesterday. Having read your Review, I am surprised that you did not express any criticism or concern to me directly first. Perhaps that is a characteristic of you that is non-conducive for me to accomplish work for you. You wondered why I ask to know a Client's occupation. Certain occupations often include people for whom I have great difficulty doing anything. Sales had been one of those occupations. Quod Erot Demonstratum. Please correct the Review you submitted. I DID NOT PERFORM ANY SERVICES DURING MY VISIT. While you paid in advance, you may obtain a refund. I have no control or authority over refunds...except when the Client states that I performed any services. You have only made your Refund more difficult."

Nelson is very knowledgeable and professional. He completed the items on my list that he could without additional preparation actions by me and insisted on safety first. He also when asked, freely provided his experienced opinion on other items around the house.

It went fine. He was professional and polite.

Nelson did a truly excellent job installing two ceiling fans (including setting up the dimmer switch and remote, and solving wiring mistakes in the electrical box) and regrouting two showers. Knowledgeable, professional, efficient, high-quality and very reasonable price. I highly recommend Nelson for every kind of electrical installation and/or bathroom issue in your home.

He showed up a few minutes earlier than agreed upon. He did an OK job removing the old clear caulk and replacing it with white caulk. He lightly regrouted a couple of areas but ignored others. He did not spend two hours on the job, did not do anything other than the shower. He appears not to understand how Angie's List works. He complained that we should have not contracted him because he doesn't come out this far from his home. As if we have any say on who bids on Angie's List deals. Overall, an OK, incomplete job that was overpriced.

They did a great job. Everything was uneven and they did a great job of fixing the problem and making it work with the poor job that was done originally. They cleaned up their mess afterwards. That was a real plus for me.

It didn't go...I purchased the deal for 3-hours of handyman work. I tried contacting the company and never got through to anyone. Tried e-mailing as well and never heard back from them. I ended up getting a refund for my purchase.

Good. Work was done in an efficient workmanlike manner.

How did it go? It did not go... Received email from Nelson 7 days after I purchased the job asking what day I would prefer Nelson's visit without any apology for not delivering the job on the days suggested/needed when I made the purchase. Offered to do the installation the following week... Not a positive reference site here I am deeply afraid.

There were few things that left me feeling ill-used about this entire experience: First, Mr. Nelcon went on about how much money he has to pay to keep top billing with Angie's List; Second, he made a point of how cheap the deal was; Third, he decided that I should listen to his political opinions; Fourth, I was expected to find a blow dryer and dry the drywall patches so he could apply a second coat; Fifth, and finally, he left after 2 hours of a 3 hour deal without scheduling a return visit to paint the areas drywalled, though I requested such a return visit (and any other handyman would have done so). I did the painting. (This part is not based on my experience: I later learned that he knows a friend of mine who no longer uses his services due to his expectation that she hang around and listen to his politics as well. She also had a major repair to do after he "fixed" something for her. ) I should have written sooner, but I thought I'd give him time to come back and then I couldn't figure out how to find the job to write the review.

I think it went well. He cleaned up his mess, which was not much.
