I now see that he is advertising his services again on your website. I did not rate his service on his prior visit to my home, but since he is again soliciting new clients, I felt that I should at least make someone aware of my experience in dealing with the gentleman.

He was great to work with. He got in touch to book our time as soon as bought the 3 hour special. He asked what the work would be jto make certain we had everything we needed. He was on time on the dot as scheduled. We walked him through what we wanted done and got the materials situated. He was careful to ask us if he ran across an issue that we hadn't already talked about. AND he cleaned up after - you wouldn't have known he was there working except the new shelves were up and curtain rods in place. We'll use hin again in a heartbeat. In fact plan to soon as we have more curtain tons to be installed.

He did a great job. He had to come back a couple of times in addition to the original scheduled time and only charged me a nominal extra fee.

I called to have some drywall repaired after we removed some built-in shelving. He came out the next morning and completed the work in 2 hours. What was once an eye sore is now a smooth, normal looking wall. He also recommended some other possible issues for us to look into (stuff he wouldn't even do, so he was strictly looking out for us as home owners). Very pleased. I'm sure we'll be using him again in the near future.

Nelson arrived promptly and was very patient when I had to reschedule as well. He had me walk him through the project list and he was able to quickly jump in. He completed each task quickly and expertly and had me review each one upon completion. I would definitely use him again.

He was good. I have got no complaints at all. He did a good job. He's kind of a do everything kind of guy. It was a small job. Everything seems to be holding up well, time will tell.

Nelson was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. I had him fix about a 2 foot square hole on my wall between the pantry and garage. It was a tight fit and we discovered that the builder of my house took a bit of a shortcut against the baseboards. He repaired it to the point where you couldn't tell there was ever a hole there. Great job!

The owner of Nelcon Repair and Construction has a degree in mechanical engineering and a gift for fixing things. He knows the science / theory behind residential systems which causes him to make better repairs. For example, he explained to me that carbon monoxide is heavier than air, so that a combination smoke/CO detector, when mounted on the ceiling, would be ineffective in detecting CO, which would concentrate at floor level. I had bought a number of items at Home Depot in preparation for his coming, but he was able to make the repairs without even using some of these items, saving me money. He is a man of honesty and integrity. I do believe he can repair almost anything!!

I thought he could regrout the shower, and he could not. He said that was a job beyond his skill set. I am using The Grout Medic for the job, and they are very satisfactory. And it is a very complicated job, involving removal of tile and the shower pan. The Grout Medic diagnosed the problem AND could fix it.

He didn't do anything. He showed up at the house and told us that we needed to contact the city to have them look at something. Then we needed to call him back and have him come out. He isn't licensed and he just does stuff. I thought he was a plumber, the deal was for two hours of plumbing and he wasn't able to do it. He might be awesome to work with. I thought he was a plumber.

After providing photos of work needing to be done and informing him that I had a two story house, he arrived with the wrong size ladder and then informed me that I should hire a younger and stronger repairman to do the job.

He did a quality job and I was pleased with the results.

Nelson was great - our garbage disposal and sink issues were driving us crazy and without any prompting, Nelson searched under our sink for any parts that were not installed when our faucet was 'fixed' before. He located what he needed and handled the issue with speed and thoroughness. While he was at our home, he did not pause for as much as a glass of water and wasted no time doing what needed to be done.

Nelson came out when he said but the job tool longer than expected. Similarly, there were messes made on my carpet that were not cleaned when he left as well as a side of the vanity that was removed when the original tile being removed that he did not fix. The tile itself is done well but attention to detail about other parts of the job were lackluster.

DEAL: $99 Kitchen or Bathroom Caulking and Grout Restoration The deal was for "up to two hours of caulk replacement or grout repair." My desire was to have my 5x6 shower stall re-grouted. I emailed to ask if 2 hours was enough time and when can we do it. It took 3 days to nail down a date and that was over 4 weeks from my purchase date. Since "member is responsible for supplying grout if grout repair is needed," I emailed about grout recommendations. He replied with "grouting corners is not a good idea" and he preferred caulking. I knew there were some misunderstanding here and that I needed to speak with him. I asked him to call me. We spoke and thought we had it clear that I wanted the whole tile floor of my shower to be re-grouted and not just the floor/wall edging (which I know should be caulked). In fact, he stated that in his phone call summary email, "I will regrout the 5'x6' floor of the shower." Upon looking at the shower with him after he arrived, it became clear very quickly that he was all along expecting to only work on the edge of the shower floor where it meets the walls and not the total floor itself. I told him that if I was only looking at caulking the edge, I would have done it myself. I didn't think that effort was worth $99 to me let alone $150-$200 that he would have normally charged. He stated that I would need a tile specialist and asked if there was anything else he could do. I said no and he said that he would pursue the full refund of this deal (as heard by my wife as well). Eleven days later, I emailed that I had not heard from Angie's list nor received and refund. He apologized about the confusion and that I needed to pursue the refund with Angie's List. I immediately emailed Angie's List requesting a refund. The service person replied stating that "while this purchase is outside of the 30 Day Refund Guarantee, there are other options available to you." I didn't find another company offering a deal I wanted. Angie's List stated that, per the fine print, I needed to pursue the refund from the contractor. I again emailed the contractor outlining what Angie's list stated. He replied with "Do you have other work you'd like me to do? Otherwise, I guess I'll send you a check." For a second time, I declined his offer to do work and requested a check. Over 2 days later, he emails me that he has spoken to his Angie's Sales Rep and that I was to call the help desk and explain the situation. After calling the help desk, they looked up the transaction of the deal that stated it was completed and paid and that they would investigate it. Two days later, I had my refund notice. It was WAY TOO MUCH time and energy where they were focused on what they wanted to do versus understanding what the customer wanted done. In addition, the handling of the refund situation was IMO not very professional.

He came by the house to get an idea of the project, did no work at that time. He was going to send me an estimate. I never got one. We decided to do the job in the spring,but then he never contacted me. I finally contacted him, and he told me he hurt his back and could not do the job.

Caulk was done well and clean up was good.

Had large tv insert over fireplace in LR. He framed it out and installed drywall / tape and sheetrock. Very nice job. Cleaned up well. Trustworthy.

The provider called me after hours. I was eager and glad he returned the call. After so many of the same repeated questions asking for a list of the items I had that needed to be worked on and being impatient with me due to not having a list at the moment, the conversation turned to a negative tone. He asked for pictures of the job and for me to send them on Angie's List but I told him I did not know how. I figured the provider would be more professional and accommodating to me, but am shocked he was not. I ended up getting a message from the provider saying to request a refund from Angie's List because he didn't feel comfortable working with me anymore.

Great - after some delay, Nelson was able to come out on a weekend, and do the work within the time allotted. Great sense of humor and very professional.

This was the worst experience I have ever had and the first time I have EVER left someone a bad review! I waited over a week before posting to make sure I was not writing from a place of anger and I was also encouraged by friends to post. I paid for 3 hours of work. The work that was done would have taken me one our to do myself (nothing I was unable to do just decided to treat myself) and I would have done a much better job. He was much more interested in chatting than in doing the work I wanted done and he sat around while I went to Home Depot (3 times because he could not give me clear instructions as to what he wanted. I assumed he knew what he was talking about so did not ask at HD but he did not so I had to go back - TWICE), and he told me he could not complete the installation of the sink because the original installation was sub par, there did not exist a 30" part that was needed and there for I would need a licensed plumber to complete it. I had to chase him to his car because the hot water which was the one pipe he did connect was not tightened and I had water all over my cabinet. I got the non-existent 30" pipe two days later and completed the install of the faucet myself. No plumber needed! All in all this was a farce and I would have laughed at the whole experience had it not cost me $99 and Had I not had a dinner party at my house that night and a sink with no running cold water!!! oh, and the caulking? He totally missed (as in did NOT caulk at all) the bit behind the kitchen sink where most needed!!!

I needed to lay engineered hardwood on a concrete slab. This type of work was outside the expertise of the company.
