Technician was professional and well equipped to do the work. Also provided detailed estimate for other work needed.

We had a fantastic experience with Mr. Smokestack. Everyone I talked to was super nice and very responsive. I always got a call before someone was coming out to confirm that everything was still good, and they were always punctual. The tech who came out was super friendly and made sure I knew exactly what work he was going to do. He also finished several hours earlier than anticipated. I'll definitely use Mr. Smokestack again for chimney and fireplace work.

I would recommend this company to anyone. Not only were email responses quick and professional, they also called me to follow up on every response they provided. I find this type of good customer service rare. I watched most of the work they did and it was done properly and with care. I was concerned about the weather causing delays or washing away the paint, but they were watching the radar and perfectly predicted the weather would not be a problem. They even showed me a radar picture when I expressed concern. The day before service was performed they told me they were watching the Doppler radar. I would definitely use this company again if I need work done on my chimney in the future. I may have been able to find someone to do the job a little cheaper but I am glad I didn't because I know I wouldn't get the quality, great customer service, and piece of mind.

He gave us a quote on sealant for the chimney, but we turned it down. They came when they said they would and did a great job. They did not try to pressure me into additional sales.

The service went very well. They were on time and the man who came out was very informative. They replastered the inside of the chimney that had holes and cracks in it. They showed this to us from pictures they took prior to service. A week after service the chimney still leaked during heavy rain. They came out promptly and applied silicone type sealant around cap of chimney which seems to have fixed the leaks. Good value with attentive service. I would recommend them to others.

The tech took a quick glance up the chimney and said that it didn't need cleaning but, he wanted to do an inspection. Found a few tiny cracks in the mortar 15 feet up in the chimney and then wanted to charge me $2,500 for redoing the mortar. Then sent me a picture mis-representing where the mortar cracks were! The owner and I have since discussed the situation to my satisfaction. It seems that this situation evolved from an internal issue which resulted in significant mis-communication. He's suggested that significant internal training will result from this incident. I accept his explanation and his sincerity convinces me that he has the best of intentions concerning his customers.

He was good. He was excellent. I like his professionalism. He was thorough. He did everything he said. One time he couldn't come because I was doing something to the roof. I called him and asked him to delay a couple of weeks. There was no problem at all.

Can't say enough good things about these people. They were super friendly, worked with me on a scheduling snafu that was completely my fault, did the work neatly and quickly, showing me before and after pictures of the areas that would be hard for me to see. NO mess at any point, and just a perfect experience. We will absolutely do business in the future!

The experience was good. The people were pretty knowledgeable, they answered all my questions, and were extremely polite.

The technician was punctual and very thorough. I hadn't used the gas logs since I moved in 10 years ago and I thought I was going to have to have them replaced. Turns out they are in great shape and I just needed a lesson on how to use them. The only work that was needed painting the cap to help prevent more oxidation and rusting. The tech was very patient and thorough. Really appreciate the advice and professionalism.

Mr Smokestack was very professional and really knew his business. Our chimney wood rot was an on-going problem which we had repaired about 6 years ago, but the problem returned. Mr Smokestack diagnosed the problem correctly (incorrect chimney cap, incorrect installation) and finally the problem was repaired right. We're very happy with the experience and the outcome.

Great service and chimney report with pictures. Cost of dampers and installation was pretty expensive, but overall they were professional, thorough and accommodating.

David and Joe were very professional. They took their time to explain to me how to use my gas logs! I have never used them as I didn't know how to turn them on! I have had chimney swifts in my chimney for years and years. I thought I would have a whole chimney full of nests but David explained that the mom and dad swift reused their nest year after year. I hated to do this, but I had them put a cap on the chimney to keep them out. I will definately have them back to do any further work!

The 2 young men that serviced my fireplace were polite and punctual. They took every precaution with both shoe covers and cloth tarps to protect my floors. Every step was explained and they worked efficiently to get all work done in a timely fashion Since I had an initial inspection and chose their service the cost of the inspection was deducted from the price plus they cleaned out my dryer vent free of charge. They used their wonderful video scope to show all the repairs and also to show me the cleaned dryer vent-which helped me see all their work. They also showed me photo's of repairs on roof, and taught me how to open my new "collapsing" flue that closes the opening to the chimney on top of the smokestack The owner-Robby always calls to be sure all went well and to be sure I was happy with the work.

The chimney restoration went great! They were prompt, courteous, clean, efficient, and did a wonderful job. They were able to finish the restoration in half a day and we were up and using our fireplace 3 days later (after the cement cured)!

We recently had a wonderful experience with Robbie and his team at Mr. Smokestack. A home inspection report for a property we were purchasing revealed the need for a comprehensive review of our chimney by a quality contractor. I found Mr. Smokestack on Angie's List and called them. Their inspection of our chimney revealed some very serious problems - all of which were clearly documented by photographs and a detailed, clear estimate that was emailed to me before the consultant even left my house. I worked with Robbie to arrive at a scope of work that: (1) gave us a safe, functioning chimney; (2) at a cost we could manage. Robbie is incredibly responsive via email and phone and he is as honest as they come - for example, he was very forthright about their pricing on certain accessories, and invited me to purchase some of the component items on the open market and his crew still installed them for me. Bottom line - I am sure there are cheaper options out there - but if you want the job done right, with the highest level of professionalism, quality workmanship and customer service you will not be disappointed with Robbie and Mr. Smokestack. Like my general contractor (who was onsite for some of their repairs and witnessed their work) said, "those guys know what they are doing."

We had to wait ~4 weeks for an appointment, but had called during winter so that makes sense. They called 2 days before the appointment as a reminder, which was helpful. On the day of, the agent was running late due to traffic, but he called to let me know and that was appreciated. He inspected and then cleaned the chimney. He showed us photos of the inside and explained every single thing in great detail. He was able to answer all our questions and was polite and friendly. We'll definitely use them again.

The service provider, Gene, was very friendly and professional. He arrived early, explained what he was going to do and took pictures so I could see what the venting system looked like as well as how much material was removed. He noticed my fireplace and asked had I had it cleaned. Once I told him that it was gas, he took a quick look at no charge and explained about the need for the damper to be partially open and confirmed that I had a C-clamp to do that. He also pointed out evidence of water leakage in the firebox and suggested that I monitor that during rain to make sure that repairs I had done previously were actually preventing water leaks. He cleaned up the debris removed from the venting system and fastened the gate as well as the crawl space door. This is always a concern for me since I have several dogs. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

They did an excellent job - took before and after pictures of the chimney top. Very professional outfit and really nice to deal with. Price was worth the quality of the work done. Would use them again.

We've lived in our current home for around a year and have a fireplace that was converted from wood-burning to gas logs at least 10 years ago. We were unsure how long it had been since the chimney had been swept and I could smell soot on certain days so I gave Mr. Smokestack a call. Given the time of the year and how busy they were, I was initially told it could be up to a month and a half before someone could come out, which was fine by me, They ended calling back the following week and got me into the schedule sooner. As for the cleaning and inspection, the technician was very thorough and friendly. He educated me on the chimney and fireplace since this was my first house with both. He showed me pictures and made sure I was up to speed on everything. He cleaned everything and left no mess. I was very pleased with everything. I got a follow up call from the owner a few days later to make sure I was satisfied.
