I am new to Raleigh and locked myself out of the house. Found a serviceman in a truck across the street who let me borrow his cell phone. He suggested I call 411 and ask for Marshall's Locksmith. Spoke to woman who acted like she couldn't be bothered with me. I told her the situation and she said she'd send someone out. Then she asked me for my phone number. I told her my cell phone was in my locked house, so giving her my number wouldn't do any good. She wasn't happy about that, but she said okay, they would send someone out. I waited two hours in 98-degree heat and finally came to the conclusion they weren't coming. I walked to a store and borrowed their phone. Called Marshall's again and was told by the same woman that the technician said he had to have a phone number. This woman should have never said she was sending someone out if my not having a phone number was an issue. I called another company (A Carolina), who came immediately and did excellent work.

Very friendly coordinator scheduled my appointment by phone. Locksmith arrived on time and quickly replaced lock cylinders on 3 doors. Very fast, very friendly, great job.

I would give them A?s on everything. I spent $100 on that service.

My only concern was that upon final inspection I thought one door had too much "play" in it. I thought the fit should be more snug. He adjusted it without question or argument, but I do think it probably compromised the security of the lock slightly.

I lost my keys and needed my locks rekeyed. On the Friday morning before the Labor Day weekend, I called several locksmiths (on Angie's list) who couldn't come until the Tuesday after Labor Day until I called Marshall's. They came that same day. The technician came at 2:30 even though he had planned to quit for the day at 3:00. He said he considered my job an emergency. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it and did a good job.
