I was very happy with Matias and his team. Matias was responsive to my request and came out with a day to provide an estimate. We ended up needing additional pine straw to complete the job, but the overall cost was still less than others, and the work was completed quickly. I would definitely recommend M&M. A+++++ Our heavily landscaped yard (front and back) had crossed over from looking natural to looking wild and overgrown (actually probably crossed over several years ago). After firmly deciding (admitting) we were overwhelmed and had neither the skill, tools nor inclination to tame it ourselves, we looked for a professional. I read a review about M&M that said they transformed their unruly yard. I called M&M and spoke with Matias saying that's what I want - transformation. He came out that day (a Saturday) to walk the property and take notes and got back to me that night with an estimate. One week later he was on the job with himself, his father and a crew member. We had many shrubs pruned (some very tall and overgrown), a small tree taken out, a large Japanese Maple and a Crepe Myrtle pruned along with many other small trees, foundation beds weeded, a natural area made a little "less natural" by taking out poison ivy and various other undesirable weeds, vines and saplings, and they installed 10 cubic yards of shredded mulch. All in ONE day!! I couldn't believe it. They worked very very hard all day and cleaned up immaculately when they left. He succeeded - we have been transformed and I love our yard again! This is a small, local, family run business and we could not be happier with the results. We plan to use them on a semi-annual basis to keep us looking as good as when they left the first time. It is obvious they take great pride in the work they do.

Matias came by to take a look at the job which was the very untended .5 acre yard of a foreclosure home that we had purchased. We discussed the options and since he was already there, he immediately started the work. He has a wonderful first time coupon and after seeing his professionalism and punctuality in action, we hired him to perform ongoing lawn maintenance for our new home. He has done debris removal, hedge trimming and lawn mowing for us so far and we are very satisfied with his work. I plan to use him for some more extensive landscaping in the near future. Could not be more satisfied.

They have lived up to doing what they said they would do. The price they charge is a fairly negotiated price. Matias is the owner and he has been coming back just as he said. They mow and trim and do the edging. They've done a good job for us.

He never submitted the estimate, as promised.

Overall, we were very pleased with their service. They got back to us in a timely manner. They were very professional. They did such a good job we plan on using them again very soon. Our neighbors even commented on how great our yard looks!

I called this company to do quite a bit of work in my yard, edging, trimming, leaf removal, cutting some limbs on trees. The man showed up fairly promptly to give me an estimate in which he said he would email to me. I never received an email or a phone call even after leaving voice mails for them. I was in a bit of a hurry to get this done and now have been set back almost 2 weeks. Very Disappointing after all of the great reviews.

I contacted M&M for an estimate on clearing leaves from our landscaped areas and applying shredded hardwood mulch. Matias came out the next day and we went over the work that needed to be done. There were not too many leaves since I had cleared most of them out in January. I requested that he put down 8 yards of triple shredded hardwood since that is what we had done in the past. I explained that the work needed to be done as soon as possible because there were some perennial plants in one area that would soon be coming up and could not be walked on. Matias emailed an estimate the next day which was acceptable to me and the work was scheduled for two days later. Matias and a helper arrived promptly when scheduled and worked efficiently to clear the leaves before the mulch arrived a little later. The two men did an excellent job of spreading the mulch in and around all the plants. My wife and I have done this in prior years so we know first hand what a difficult job it is. M&M did it as well or better than we would have, they did it all in one day and at a fair price. I had an interesting discussion with the man who delivered the mulch who commented that the use of hardwood mulch seems to be most popular with northerners moving into the area (I am one of them) who are not familiar with pine mulch. He (a NC native) claimed pine bark mulch (not pine needles) is better than hardwood for several reasons: lasts longer, does not raise the pH of the soil, allows water to flow through better and provides more nutrients to the soil. I had recently read some gardening info that said to not use hardwood mulch around azaleas or other acid loving plants because of the pH considerations. My azaleas are not looking so good this year, and I will be giving pine bark mulch a try next year.

As mentioned above. He responded to my e-mail. Showed up on time. Explained what he does and the price. Did the work every other week with no problem at all. he also aerated and seeded the yard.

Overall, the work was done exactly as we had discussed and we are very pleased. We are looking forward to working with M & M to keep our yard looking great.

Another great job by M&M Landscaping! I have used Matias' services for about 4 years now and have recommended him to multiple friends and acquaintances. He always comes through with quality work and a reasonable price. Today, he arrived to move 10 shrubs and a blue cedar tree for me. The job went very well and the final product exceeded my expectations. I had to leave for an appointment while Matias was working. He called my cell part way through the job to say that he was running into more clay soils than he had expected, and to recommend that we bring in some topsoil to mix with the soil that he was using to back fill the newly transplanted shrubs. This it typical of Matias. He could have just used what he had available, but he is always looking to do the job RIGHT and with the highest quality and he doesn't stop at 'good enough'. I am looking forward to having Matias back to help with other aspects of the updates to my landscape as well as any other related lawn care/landscape jobs that may come about.

Matias Melendez impressed me with his responsiveness, punctuality and follow-up. He made sure to understand what I required and also made excellent suggestions. His price was very fair. We have postponed the project due to unrelated factors. If I were to have the work done, I would be very comfortable with M&M Landscaping.

The entire experience from start to finish was excellent! Mr. Melendez was responsive to my calls, came out shortly and gave me a quote. He was very friendly and professional, and for all of the work we were requesting, his quote was very reasonable! He gave me a time table, which included a pause so that the yard could be marked for the location of underground cables. They arrived early, and we didn't even hear them starting, they were so quiet! Our house didn't even look the same when we returned that afternoon. In one day, they had completely transformed our unruly, unattractive yard. They went above and beyond, and cleaned everything up to spotless. We absolutely couldn't be happier, and will use M & M again in the future for certain!

An appointment was made for 6pm. No show. I called and was told he had a lawn care emergency and would be here in 20 minutes. Still a no show. We called him to cancel and no answer. We will get somebody that shows up on time.

We needed a quick job to satisfy the homeowner's association. We contacted Matias and he was very prompt in responding. He came to the house and told us his recommendations. We needed the lawn seeded (too many weeds). He advised that it is the wrong time of year to do such work. It would be money lost. He recommended the reseeding be done in the fall. In the meantime he trimmed, weeded, mulched, and cleared the natural area of limbs, vines and piled up yard waste. The HO association was pleased with the improvements and our plans. We needed the work done quickly and Matias was very helpful to us. We plan to use his services again.

The charge of 55 dollars to cut my lawn which is .39 sq. acres seems a bit much, especially after talking with some of my neighbors and asking them how much they pay for their lawn service. They do an excellent job. Price would be my only concern about this company. I just bought this house and there was a compost pile in the backyard and they flattened it and they did a good job. They are very professional people.

Matias responded promptly to my initial inquiry and was on time for our appointment. He and his crew arrived on schedule to complete the work and worked diligently until my wife was satisfied. Could not have asked for a better result. Price was reasonable for the service performed.

M & M Landscaping did a wonderful job. They arrived as scheduled and worked hard to complete all the work. I do recommend M & M Landscaping to anyone looking for a one time projet or if you want a regular lawn service company. They are now my lawn service company.

Matias came to our house and told us what he would do and the cost. The first visit is free. He is doing a beautiful job. He is eager to please and anxious to redo anything that I mention isn't perfect. Please realize that my husband and I had been taking care of our lawn for 17 years. It took several years to train my husband to do just what I wanted, the way that I wanted. I thought it would be impossible to get another human being to do such a good job from the beginning. I would recommend him highly.

After getting proposals from four local, well reviewed landscape companies, M&M came in with a fair price. I received their proposal quickly and in detail. The other three needed a second call to get their proposals. Two of the others were way overpriced for such a relatively small job. I also liked the fact that M&M is small and goes from job to job and does not juggle multiple jobs like many larger LS companies. M&M was actually at the same cost level as the third company, but they were larger and only responded after I mentioned Angie's list in a phone message. Overall, M&M responded quickly, arrived when scheduled, kept me informed of the daily activities, and most importantly, did an excellent job. The flower bed and accent walls are beautiful. The crew is uniformed, polite and work hard. The job was completed in a few days.
