The crew was professional and the work was done well and quickly. Kelly came out to meet with me and walk around our property to assess our needs. I felt like he gave us honest advice about where things could be left alone and where some of our trees needed tending. When the crew came out to do the work they walked around with me again to review all the items on the original proposal from Kelly and make sure they knew exactly what we expected to be done.

Everyone from Leaf and Limb Tree Service were respectful, knowledgeable and friendly. It was wonderful to work with such a well run business. We could tell they cared about us, our home and the quality of work they were doing. We highly recommend Leaf and Limb Tree Service to everyone; they could not have been better!

Leaf and Limb [Raleigh] have trained arborists on staff and can give information as to the health of trees. They consistently do a great job. I have used them several times and have recommended them to others who are also pleased.

These guys are great. Very quick and fantastic when it comes to cleanup.No issues! Have used them on numerous occasions with the same excellent results.

They had problems getting the equipment into the backyard which was not their fault. They also had trouble with the equipment breaking down so we had to reschedule a couple times. When we finally got them into the backyard, they did the work and never billed me. The quality of their work was great. They showed up and did the job.

They were prompt and worked quickly but carefully. Completely removed all debris and cleaned up the driveway and yard. Based on pricing neighbors recently received for smaller jobs we felt this was a good value for a reputable company.

The owner or estimator was concerned about safety with the job so he declined and was not interested in doing it. They responded quickly to my call and set up a time to come out see me as soon as possible and that was also convenient to me. They were very responsive and the estimator seemed very knowledgeable in what was entailed in taking the tree out but he or his company just wasn't interested in doing.

We got an estimate in early November and confirmed services toward the end of November. We were told we would be put on their schedule and they would notify us the Friday before. I followed up several times and finally the work was completed in mid-January. I was not notified at all - they just randomly showed up one day.

They were very professional from the estimate to completion. They arrived on time, were very knowledgeable and offered a reasonable price. The communication was great. They keep you informed of scheduling and the scope of the work and the workers themselves were very respectful and careful. I would highly recommend this company!

The arborist sent to give me an estimate - Nate - was great. He spent plenty of time with me looking at the maple I wanted to remove to discuss options, and he looked at my neighbors trees as well (she ended up using their services as well). I did decide to move forward with removing the sickly maple and had a large oak and hickory tree trimmed as they were hanging over the roof. The guys did a great job all the way around. My only complaint was the last minute notification of when they would be there (the next day). I knew I wasn't required to be home when they came but I wanted to be. The root system on the maple was above ground and massive the stump grinding (separate visit) took quite a while.

Leaf & Limb were great about getting us a quote quickly, keeping us updated on their schedule (which was packed after Matthew I'm sure), and were very professional during the whole process. They put down plywood to protect the grass from the stump grinder and even used a blower afterwards to stand it back up!

They were very knowledgable and professional. They also have their own crane which helped keep cost down. Everything went smoothly.

Very impressed with this company from start to finish. Responsive, polite helpful personnel, including those in the office, the arborist who did the assessment/estimate and the workers who removed the tress. Very professional work, including wonderful clean-up. Highly recommend. We would not hesitate to use their services again if needed.

Really like these workers. Very professional, took care not to damage my shrubs the best they could . They had no choice but to step on my creeping shrubs because that's where my tree was located. They were careful that no limbs or liter were dropped on my neighbors property and if small pieces did it was cleaned up promptly. After the work was all done, they cleaned up every piece of branches and even blew the dirt from my driveway and cleaned up the area in the street so when they left you never knew they were there. Excellent work!!!!!!!

Estimate was detailed and thorough. Was scheduled in timely mannered. Work was professional, trimming done carefully, balanced and looks great. Clean up thorough and efficient. Great service, recommend for professionalism.

The office staff communicated consistently during the rescheduling of the work due to the abundance of rain this fall, and the work team arrived at the earliest possibility. The team worked carefully to bring down the limbs and tree trunk in a controlled way so that there was no damage to the house or to our ornamental landscaping. They brought the equipment to move the wood to the chipper, so the clean up was complete. We would hire Leaf and Limb again.

When we first moved to NC about 5 years ago we called Leaf and Limb for some advice on a couple of maple trees we had. At the time, Basil said they didn?t have their spraying license but he did notice a large tree on the side of our property that he said needed to be cabled. He and his guys took care of that for us and we were very pleased. A couple of years later he came back out and cut down 4 trees along our driveway. The guys did a great job so, of course, we called them back again when we needed more work done and recommended them to others. This time we requested a quote to take down one tree (within feet of the 4 trees they took down previously) plus pruning and spraying of two maples and feeding and pruning of several other trees. This time a young guy by the name of Greyson came out to do the estimate. We were more than surprised that this time we were quoted $750 to cut down one tree that was the same size and in the exact area as the trees they cut down previously for $200 each. When we asked Greyson why it was so much he simply said their business was ?growing? and they needed to increase their fees to pay for their growth and to provide workers comp insurance for their guys. That I can understand, but 400% increase? I was really waiting for him to say that he had to charge more because we were only having one tree cut down....that I could understand. Since we still wanted to work with Leaf and Limb I called and spoke with Andrea, the office secretary, to see if we could speak to Colin or Basil to see if we took down 7 other trees at the same time if that would make a difference. Andrea was not pleased, to say the least. She very abruptly said Basal doesn?t do estimates anymore. I asked if she would just leave him a message to call us and she said "fine". Needless to say we never heard from anyone, even though my husband called back again and left a voice mail. I have a feeling Basal never got the messages and there seems to be no way to contact anyone at Leaf and Limb besides Andrea. The moral of this story is don?t aggravate Andrea or you won?t get any work done by them!!

The office was very responsive and good at scheduling. The first person who came and made the plan for brush removal was nice and professional. The workers doing the brush removal did a good job. The stump grinding on the other hand, was a complete disaster. They ground the stumps, but they also ground my garden irrigation system, my outdoor lighting and my time warner cable line. When we contacted the office they asked for pictures which we sent. The first response back was that there was no damage, which was incredible because it was hard to miss the bare metal from the wires. The second response was at least apologetic but no offer to help with repairs. Crazy that I will likely spend more money repairing the damage they did than what I paid them for the job. The only reason they are not straight F is because the first part of the project was handled well. Update: 11/6 They came back, they were much more apologetic and they did credit us $100 towards the damages. I am much happier with their service now. Their stump grinder still isn't the best, but they dealt with it when they didn't have to, which says a lot.

Great. This is the second time Leaf and Limb has provided this service for me. They do a beautiful job of pruning and clean up all the limbs/leaves after pruning. Very professional work. Folks are very responsive, came out and did an estimate shortly after I called them and completed the job within a couple of weeks although this was a very busy season. Knowledgeable and work is top quality. All staff are very helpful and professional.

I picked leaf & limb because of the many positive reviews on Angie's List. Also it is my understanding that their workers are all employees and the company carries workers comp and liability insurance. I did not mind paying more for a company that takes care of its workers. The estimator was Greyson Painter. He seemed very professional. He could identify every plant we came across and he told me the job would probably take all day and quoted $2100 for the job. The job involved some work on my neighbors line including pruning branches of an oak touching my house. When I asked for permission, my neighbor asked me to get them to prune some branches on his house and have that added to the job at his expense. When I received the typed quote by email, it was missing shearing my front bushes. Greyson said he would come back out to figure what my neighbors add-on would be, and to figure out the extra cost of shearing the bushes in the front. Greyson never came out. When I inquired he said the workers would quote it on the job. I was ok with that. The job was scheduled about 1 month later (they called on a Friday to tell me they would be there Monday). Guys arrived before 8 am and added $200 for the extra tree work and $200 for the extra work on the bushes. I agreed to that. It was a beautiful day with a chance of rain. Temperatures were moderate. The guys worked for about 90 minutes and then took at least an hour nap on my lawn. I had to leave at that point to take my wife for cataract surgery. I called the Leaf and Limb office and got an answering machine and complained about their work ethic. We got back at around 3:30 and the guys were packing up. They asked me to walk around the house to point out issues. I did and they fixed them. The following day I noticed how asymmetrical they left the 2 Arborvitaes. It seems to me that they charge a premium price and should be doing a premium job. I don't see that at least on my job. I've had lots of work done on my house including landscaping, a stone retaining wall, a large addition, etc. I've never seen workers take an hour break after working 90 minutes first thing in the morning. It seems to me that their aim was to stretch the job as long as possible. And had it rained they would never have finished it. Now in all honesty, I have no idea how hard they worked while I was gone. All I can describe is what I saw before I left a bit after 11 am. So if you don't mind paying a premium price for hiring workers with a possibly low work ethic, go ahead and hire them.

The team was in and out of my backyard in two days. There was a bit of miscommunication on the service as I'd wanted both the tree removed and the two trees by the gate to be trimmed. The company had to come back out another day to do the trimming. This was because I'd mentioned I *might* be able to complete the trimming myself before they got there for the tree removal, but couldn't manage it with my schedule. Miscommunication aside, they were able to return quickly and perform the trimming perfectly. The yard was cleaned up after and I didn't have to do a thing. I was not present for either occasion. This is a small company locally here in Raleigh and they did a fantastic job. I'd definitely call them again for another project.

The Leaf and Limb crews were all dedicated and enthusiastic about their work! The tree removal and clean-up were expertly carried out - and the one little oops (broken window totally caused by the muddy yard conditions the crew had to deal with) was handled by Leaf and Limb through a window replacement subcontractor with no problem! The crew even saved and unloaded the leftover beautiful cherry tree hardwood for our wood-working neighbor to use. Joe was knowledgeable and professional with the estimate and recommended treatments. Very pleased with the entire project! Thanks!

Update: Leaf and Limb sent a specialist (tree pathologist) to inspect our trees and address our concerns. Larry lent his considerable expertise to further diagnosing our trees' disease and developing a plan for future treatment. We were very pleased that he took the time to explain treatments and scheduling in detail. I'd like to add that Larry has been doing his utmost to ensure that we are satisfied. Miscommunications can happen with any company. What really sets apart superior companies from mediocre ones is how companies respond when things don't go quite as well as expected. Larry and team are committed to following through and ensuring our complete satisfaction. For this reason, we are updating our evaluation. We look forward to entrusting our trees to L&L for further treatments in the spring and are confident we are well on our way to a healthy landscape.
