Excellent service and work every time! They are prompt for their appointments for estimates and knowledgeable about the trees. They are prompt for service as well. Everything looks great and all was done per our discussions. They email and call with scheduling information and updates as well as quotes and invoices. Everyone is friendly and easy to work with every time.
Description of Work: This is the second time I've used this company. First time, they removed several trees and brush as well as cut back some others. This time, they removed just one tree but cut back several others along with removing lots of brush.

He even filled in the holes after he was done. Excellent service!! I am very happy. I was trying to get the stumps out myself and I was having a very difficult time. Leaf & Limb came out gave me a very reasonable estimate by email and came out the same week and performed the service.

Overall it was a good experience. The company was very responsive and the estimator was very easy to schedule. He knew his stuff, gave me good advice, and listened to what I wanted as well. I felt very comfortable scheduling the work with them. The price quote was very reasonable; combined with positive reviews from here, it made it easy to say yes. There was a long lead time and I had to email to find out my status in the queue but it worked out. The crew arrived on time the day the work was scheduled. Luckily my street wasn't very busy so it was easy for them to get their trucks and equipment around with little interference to the traffic flow. Once everyone arrived, they were able to jump into the job. There was some downtime due to having to dump the chips truck but they still finished "early" ... it didn't take the whole day. The cleanup was good - you could hardly tell they had been there. The lumber was removed a few days later and the stumps ground about a week later. They didn't expect payment until the stumps were ground so there were no squabbles over payment, etc. They were responsive to emails and the on-site supervisor was able to make the quote on an additional removal on-site. The only "B" ratings are a result of minor unexpected damage (NOT to the house) and the downtime of the crew.

We had an excellent experience with them. We had five contractors come out to give us bids for removing five trees including a poplar tree that was well over a hundred feet tall. The guy from Leaf & Limb Tree Service was very knowledgeable and quickly provided a written estimate. Their estimate was much cheaper than all of the other written estimates that we’d received from other contractors. They came out promptly when they said they would and they did a really nice job. The job was a difficult one particularly with the poplar tree. They did a really nice job and they cleaned up after themselves. They came out and ground the stumps when they said they would. It was an excellent experience. They were a good $800 cheaper than the next closest estimate. We have a couple of neighbors who need to take down some trees and I’ve been telling them about these people. I was very pleased about how professional they were and also how reasonably priced they were. We will use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: We used Leaf & Limb Tree Service. We last used their services probably in July. They removed five trees for us and ground the stump as well.

Provided prompt written estimate and proof of insurance. Owner and staff were extremely courteous and competent.. Crew showed up when scheduled, completed the work quickly and professionally. On one tree, a large Crepe Myrtle that required arborist skills to achieve the goal of getting the branches away from the roof while keeping the ornamental shape of the tree, they did a great job. Also, did a great cleanup job. Definitely would recommend them for your next tree service.

It wasn?t a satisfactory job. I think that they did a very superficial job. I went to a tree pruning service because I thought that they would do better than just a regular handyman and I don?t think they did. It looked as though they simply arbitrarily chopped off the most convenient limbs. There was one tree that I specified which limbs and they did that okay, but there were 5 others along the driveway that they hacked and left the tree looking unbalanced. I can?t say that they didn?t do a neat job, but they didn?t do a professional job. Their price was much more than I expected. I would not use them again in the future. Less than a week after the above negative review and rating, Colin called, offering to "make it right". He and his efficient crew came Nov. 22, as promised, and made it right, also as promised. He had me review the status before, during and after completion to ensure I was satisfied. Colin also pointed out one tree that was splitting and recommended a remedy at a later time. Although I still think the price was somewhat high, considering the final product, the efficiency, excellent cleanup, and the one-on-one relationship Colin provided me on this second visit, I no longer regret paying it. Thanks, Colin and crew.

I contacted them and made an appointment for an estimate. He came out on time and was knowledgeable about my problem tree and other trees in my yard. We discussed different options and I decided to take down the entire tree that threatened my garage. Before a date was firmed up, we got hit by Hurricane Irene and they sent out an email explaining that they were going to delay their jobs by a few days to help customers in dire straits. Fine by me and good, proactive communication. Then they contacted me, gave me a date, and came exactly at the time they said. A crew of 5 showed up and took down the tree within a couple hours. Some of the huge pieces of trunk were over my garage and their guy up in the tree was quite skillful at directing the pieces to a guy standing on my garage who then lowered the pieces to other guys on the ground. No damage. They fed smaller limbs into a shredder and kept raking and blowing to keep my yard and driveway clean of debris. They told me the stump grinde guy would be there the next day and when I came home from work, I had a giant pile of sawdust where the stump used to be. I did ask them about that and they said standard practice was to leave that high quality mulch. I decided I did have a few beds that could use it so I kept it, but I'm pretty sure that if I had asked them to remove it, they would have. The ground was nice and flat where the stump would have been. All in all, a very positive experience from these professionals.

Wow - these guys are terrific! Lovely to work with, extremely responsive, very knowledgeable. Colin came out and walked through my yard with me pointing out what needed to come out and what really wasn't a priority and could wait. He explained why it was important that the tree limbs be trimmed to keep them away from the house. I received an estimate quickly (which was identical to the ultimate bill). The price was, I thought, very reasonable, especially considering they had to contend with poison ivy. The crew was great - friendly, courteous, efficient - and left no trace that they'd been there (except, of course, for the jobs they'd done). I recommend these folks wholeheartedly and will definitely use them again!

After the tree fell, we called two tree companies from Angie's List, both with A ratings. Both came out to give us estimates and we chose Leaf and Limb because they were able to come more quickly. Since the damage impacted our neighbors, we were eager to get the situation taken care of as soon as possible. From the intial phone call to the follow-up email, their customer service could not have been better. And their tree work was perfect. I recommend them highly.
Description of Work: In a storm, a huge tree in the yard of our rental house fell into two neighbors' yards. Fortunately it did not hit any structures, but did damage a fence. The tree needed to be taken down, carted away, and the yards needed to be cleaned up. The Leaf and Limb team were very professional from start to finish, arrived promptly and worked hard to get the job done quickly. We would be glad to use them again!

It went very well. I intereviewed several tree services from Angie's list and although Leaf and Limb was not the least expensive, they were by far the most professional. Colin knows about trees, can easily tell you what type of tree it is and can recommend what the best solution for the issue. I had to wait a while from estimate to getting the job scheduled because I needed town approval as well as HOA approval. Both were not a problem and Carrboro can be tough. I decided that even though L &L was a little more expensive it was worth it. I was correct. The men arrived on time, did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and kept the street clean as well. They were willing to make sure that we were satisfied with what we wanted and it was not a problem to make suggestions of removing a little more here and there. The crew was very nice, the head of the crew Stuart, introduced himself, they made sure they did not mess up the irragation system that I had marked They also broke out the estimate so if I wanted to, I could pick and choose what I wanted to do and would know exactly how much each item costs. The other companies just gave me a lump price. They e-mailed me, scheduling was easy, once the tornado mess had settled down in Raleigh and they did an excellent job. I would use them again for sure!!
Description of Work: I had three trees removed from my front yard and 5 trees trimmed to raise the canopy, plus several dead and low hanging branches from two pecan trees removed and a large holly tree brought down to a more managable size. Also the tree stumps ground and shavings removed. It took the crew from 8:30 AM until 2:30 to get this size job completed with breaks in the heat!!

From Angie's list, I contacted four tree services to quote the work. 3 of the services responded quickly with very similar quotes. Leaf and Limb was very prompt in returning my call (one day) and was able to quote the job quickly. The work was completed within one week of my acceptance of the quote. The service was excellent, the job was completed on time and there was NO damage to my garage or fence. The final price was as quoted and I am very happy with their work. I will use Leaf and Limb again.
Description of Work: I need one tree removed. The tree was a hardwood about 60ft tall. It was within 8ft of my garage and 2 feet away from a wooden fence. I wanted to keep the wood & use it in my fireplace so I asked Leaf and Limb to drop the tree in sections. My son and I would be responsible for clean-up and sawing the wood into usable lengths. My concrete driveway is old, so I wanted to avoid the use of a bucket truck and requested a quote for a "climb and cut".

I called for an estimate and they had someone out the next day. We looked at the tree that was leaning a bit and I was told it was not all that dangerous. We looked around the yard and I explained what I wanted. I was told I would have an estimate by the next day. I was also told that they were booked out two weeks. The next morning I had my estimate. It seemed reasonable for the work. We set up an approximate date and I was told that I would be called the night before I came. The call came in the time frame promised. They came the next afternoon. I figured it would take 2 days. They were done by 6 the same day. They used a blower on the roof and decks. They also used the blower on the drive and walkways. We walked around the yard to make sure everyting had been taken care of. He asked how I wanted to pay and told me my estimate was my bill. I am absolutely satisfied.

Sent an email that I wanted an estimate. Received a prompt response and arranged a date. Colin was there on time and provided an estimate within 10 minutes. He was friendly and knew his trees. I received an email of the estimate a couple of days later. I notified Colin I wanted to have the first 3 trees on the estimate removed. He said there was a 3 week wait but I heard from him after just 2 weeks. There was a rain delay but they came the next day. One tree was near the house so they took it down in sections. I have considerable landscaping but it was not harmed and the yard wasn't torn up from them getting the trees out. They took off all the branches and put them in a chipper. The trunks were cut into 20 foot sections and another guy picked them up the next day. They cut the trees nice and flush to the ground as requested. They also used a leafblower to cleanup the driveway and lawn, which was unexpected but appreciated. They even cut a small dogwood stump closer to the ground for me that was next to one of the trees they downed. Nice touch. I've worked with about 5 tree service companies over the years from more expensive ones to the "I know a guy" kind. This one is a good one to work with. They're reputable and they do a good job. I particularly like that they can get your trees out without tearing up your yard/landscaping. I'll be contacting them again to take some more down.
