Let me preface by saying that the weather didn't cooperate initially, but that Jose stayed in touch with me via voicemail and text letting me know the status. Once the weather cleared his crew came out, busted up the old patio, prepared the ground/tamped it thoroughly, and began putting up the forms. Next day, started pouring concrete and stamped it. Let it site for 2-3 weeks, came back out, pressure washed it, and sealed and then I gladly paid up. Overall job was done in a timely manner and couldn't be happier with way it turned out. Get a lot of compliments. Water beads off of it like a windshield, is textured enough to not be slippery, drains exactly how I wanted it, and has that satin/wet look even when dry. I had him quote a driveway for me too, and his prices are very competitive on that too. I will be having him do that project when we get ready for it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THIS GUY KNOWS CONCRETE AND THERE IS NO RUNAROUND! His English is a little broken, but he takes the time to be sure he knows exactly what you want done and takes the time to do it right. We basically sat in the living room and watched them get the job done. He has a great crew that works extremely hard.

I am surprised that there was no responsiveness for my two projects. Prior to signing up on Angie's list, I had called around about 5 other concrete places and no one called me back. I joined Angie's list thinking that it would have more attentive providers, and am surprised at the experience here with this provider.

Jose picked up the phone when I called, I didn't have to leave a message. He came out the next morning, on a Saturday, to measure and gave us an estimate right away. We had an idea of what we wanted and he drew it out and gave us a written estimate of $1,650. We decided during the week to change the shape and expand one side slightly, and sent Jose a picture. He came out again, remeasured, and told us it would only add $125 to the price. We called him the next week and asked him to do the work for us when he was able to. Because it was cold (polar vortex) and raining we had to wait a bit,(about a week) which was fine with us. On the scheduled day Jose came out with his crew, they did a great job and were very neat. It looked gorgeous! At first the patio looked beautiful, but when it started to dry it started to speckle up, and I panicked. I called Jose, left a message and sent pictures and said it must be wrong and what was he going to do about it? He called back very concerned and wanted to come out right away to look at it. He was there within an hour, and assured us that it was the normal drying process, just taking a bit longer due to the cold, and a week and many stages of color later he's right. It looks great, though still curing a bit. Jose's professionalism and responsiveness have us knowing that we made a great decision. We would definitely hire him again and recommend that you do too!

I was referred to J & L concrete through another highly reviewed concrete vendor who was too busy to do my job. J&L contacted me after receiving my info from this other vendor (I gave them permission to give my name out). Considering the number of vendors who never returned my call this was a good start. He showed up on time to give me an estimate, and his estimate was $400 less then the other estimate I had. They showed up on time to get the work done, and didn't have a long wait time for them to be able to start. They finished it in the time they said they would. They also had to remove and replace the steps from the garage into the house. They did a great job for a good price. I'm very pleased and I would use them again.

Jose was was on time and professional. He gave me a fair price based on other quotes I received and offered the best quality concrete and longest warranty - all in writing. He made sure the work was permitted by the city for changing our curb cut. I met with a city inspector to make sure what I wanted would be acceptable and I asked the inspector if he knew of J&L Concrete and he said yes and that they did great work. Jose and his crew were punctual, hard working and very considerate. They did everything thy promised and we are very happy with the results.

I tried to reach out to a few of the top "concrete" workers on Angie's List and none were interested in doing my "small job". Jose gave me an estimate and we worked out a day for the work a few weeks later. The crew arrived early in the morning and got right to work. they even moved the extra earth to a part of the yard where previous contractor had gotten stuck in his truck and left huge ruts. They were done by early afternoon. the finish was very nice and I couldn't be happier with the look and the whole experience.

They were quick to responsive and quick to get the work done. They did a good job. I didn't dislike anything. They were very professional. They didn't want money upfront. They wanted to make sure the job was done. There was fast action before paid. You don't get that too much. They are pretty confident in what they are going to do and they are easy to work with. The price was very competitive. The quality was very good. I would absolutely use them in the future.

Jose was great to deal with throughout the entire process. During the quoting process he showed up on time. He reviewed our specific needs, performed measurements, and explained how he would perform the job. He then provided a quote on site. During the Quoting process a 4 diameter cherry tree was going to be in the way. I asked him to try and move it. He was willing to move it but warned it may die since it was summer. When I requested we try it he was more then willing to do it. Once hired he scheduled the work in just two weeks. He called two days ahead to insure we were still ready to start on schedule. then performed the work on the dates as promised. On day one the crew showed up on time, excavated the area to add the expansion and then laid all the Forms. His crew also moved the tree to the location I had dug. When the tree did not fit the hole they expanded the hole and then found materials to stake it in place. On day two his crew showed up to pour the cement. Jose knew the risk of having cement trucks drive on the existing driveway and made sure to have multiple trucks delivery partial loads so the existing driveway could handle the weight. The work was performed exactly as requested. The drive drains better then the original and we just could not be happier. The entire time his crew worked directly with my wife and were polite,professional and insured the project was done how we wanted it. I wish all contractors were this good to work with.

We totally loved their service and they were very very good, very professional. We were very pleased with the overall product. I like the fact that they kept in contact with you, they told you what their moves were. They had events about their work. They have a good website. They were honest and their prices were equal to or better than the competition. It is a go-to company or at least for the size of the job that we had, for doing home repairs, driveways and walks.
