He arrived promptly and waited for me to get home to let him in. In 15 minutes he a diagnosed and fixed the issues. Gave a special price for Angie List clients. I was impressed.

Everything went excellent! I submitted a request via Angie's List late the night before and I got an immediate call a little after 8a.m. the next morning in which Michelle promptly scheduled an appointment for the 1-3pm timeframe the same day. James actually called to advise he could arrive earlier, which worked out perfectly for me. James was very knowledgeable and experienced. He showed me quickly how someone who knows what they are doing, can complete the job much better than my attempt. I am glad that I chose Garage Door Specialist to fix and tune-up my garage door which was probably long overdue after 15 years. I would highly recommend James and Garage Door Specialists.

Incredible service. Dave was here within three hours of my call, and the work was completed in half an hour. He clearly described the work and the cost. This was some of the best serve I have ever received. Everyone should choose them for such work.

Michelle was very helpful over the phone with describing my options and pricing of add-ons & with scheduling. Dave arrived on time (despite the still-snowy roads) and completed the work in a couple hours. I especially liked that he took the time to make sure everything was programmed & to go over the controls with me before he left. When I had a question about an intermittent error message during the week following installation, I had no problem getting a return visit (at no charge) & immediate resolution.

tech was out the next day and completed the work in about 1 hour. Good customer service would recommend there services.

I submitted a request to schedule an appointment online via Angie's List at 1030 pm and I got a call from the office first thing the following morning. They gave me a 2 hour time window in which the tech would arrive, and he was prompt. Dave, the tech, was very professional and knowledgeable. He had both of the springs replaced and the door back in service in less than 2 hours. Will definitely call should we ever need service again.

Called in the early morning and tech arrived in 2 hrs. Performed repair for agreed price and the repair has worked great ever since.

From start to finish, this was handled professionally. I was contacted within 24 hours of requesting service, and an appointment was set up. The technician showed up on time. He analyzed the problem and found a solution within just a few minutes. Since he had the part he needed in the truck, he gave us a price that seemed reasonable and fixed the mechanism within thirty minutes of arriving. Since we are Angie's List members, we also got a discount. He did not try to sell us anything we didn't need, and gave us great advice on maintenance. VERY happy!

Fantastic! I thought I needed a new motor (more than twice the price, but Dennis suggested that a replacement board might work. He was right, and I appreciate it. Also, the person who answered the phone was courteous, knowledgeable, and quite responsive to my needs. Clearly customer satisfaction is important to this company. I will use them again.

In the past, our garage door would occasionally only rise about 2-feet from the ground and then stop. Tightening the strength/torque on the electric motor seemed to fix the problem back then. - Last night we heard a loud SPROINGGG from the garage. I tried opening the garage door via the electric-opener and once again, it would only open about 2-feet. Turning up the torque on the electric motor was out-of-the-question as it was already on its maximum setting. Our cars were effectively trapped inside the garage. - At 4:55pm I called the Garage Door Specialists and left a voicemail. Within an hour I received a callback. After explaining the problem the (owner??) explained that most likely both springs in our (what I've learned is called the "Torsion Spring") were snapped. The first probably snapped several months ago, and the second snapped last night. He told me that he might be able to get someone out there that night, if not...the next day. - Sure enough, someone came to our house within two hours of that call. He fixed everything within an hour (also replacing all of our rollers) and was on his way. The door now works great and is much more quiet than before. They charged $85.00 for the service call (which included all labor) and about $380.00 for the replacement parts.

Everything was done efficiently. After installing the unit, he also tuned up the garage door and lubricated the rollers. The door is SO MUCH QUIETER. The deal included the battery back up and outside keypad. He explained the operation of the key pad to my wife and made sure she understood all the features. He was very professional and courteous. Should we ever need service for our garage door, we know who to call.

Dennis did an absolutely fabulous job with the install. He was extremely professional and helpful. I would definitely use this company for all of my future garage door maintenance.

Very happy with the new garage door opener. This was an Angie's List special deal. Deal also included an outside key pad and 2 remotes. When opening or closing...it's absolutely noiseless compare to what it was. Had to make multiple calls (2) to confirm instillation due to a lack of free space for the installer to work. It only take 5-mins to clear that space however, they drove by before the installation time and saw the space was blocked and left without speaking to me. Had he came at the arrange time, it would have been cleared just prior to that. Due to this, another call was made to arrange another instillation time. Still, the installer was very, very good and finished in less than 1-hr. All worth it!

the torsion spring had broken several months ago and I had someone lined up to fix it, however, that didn't happen. I called Garage Door Specialists @ apx 0900 on 7-23 and was told Dennis could come the same day between 1400 & 1600. A little before 1400 Dennis shows up, looks at the garage door and the replacement parts I had previously purchased. He indicated the parts would work and it would be $150 to install them and he could do the work 'right now'. I was thrilled. He fixed the door in apx 25 minutes. Gave me good advice on the projected future life of the garage door opener itself and the replacement parts. Dennis was professional and knowledgeable.

Very pleased with the service. The technican, Bob, called to ask permission to arrive a few minutes early and arrived exactly when he said he would. Diagnosed problem and offered solutions to me to approve. Did not try to upsell me anything, just gave me facts to base a decision. Repaired both doors and checked them for proper operation. Did exactly what he said he would. I would recommend this company to my friends.

First of all, I give this company and Jimmy a big thank you for saving the day! We discovered our garage door was not working early this morning and this is a day that we did not have time to deal with a broken garage door! We were preparing to go out of town for the weekend. I called our usual garage door service company and the best they could do was send someone tomorrow. Of course, we were desperate to have it fixed before we left town so I started calling other companies right away. Every call I made was quick because I either got an answering service (I left messages and none of those companies have returned my calls yet) or they were too busy to help me this weekend. Then, I called Garage Door Specialist. They impressed me from the moment the phone was answered. The nice lady I spoke to actually took the time to ask me what was going on with the door and then she told me what she thought the problem was. After that, she said that Jimmy could be at my house within a couple of hours. He called when he was on his way and got there quickly. He confirmed that the problem was indeed a broken spring. At this point, there was a lot going on in our house, we were packing and loading cars and I told Jimmy that I might have to leave before he finished. He was so professional and friendly and he told me that he could be finished quickly (worked very calmly under pressure, knowing we were in a big rush and even had to patiently wait while we got cars and other things we were packing out of our garage). He explained the cost to me in detail before he started working and then he finished faster than I ever imagined this job could be taken care of. He also took the time to check everything and make sure there were no other issues. He was honest, told me that the door was in good shape otherwise and I shouldn't need to do anything else other than having it serviced again in a year. He made the whole experience very simple on a day that nothing else going on at my house was simple! I highly recommend Garage Door Specialist!

It went good, good quality and they showed up on time. The spring was under warranty so they did all the work for free. The originally spring broke so they weighed the door to make sure they were getting a strong enough spring as a replacement

Great experience. This company was highly responsive and professional and their technician was a true expert. We have an unconventional setup with one opener handling two doors. The opener tore off the garage doors and broke a panel on each - it was bad. I did my homework and legwork everyone wanted to do a full replacement. I found the door manufacturer and these guys were a dealer. Right away they were different - they listened. I only needed a repair but when I do need new doors I will call them again. This time we needed a heavy duty repair and the tech, Toma, was AWESOME. He is not only professional and polite, but also insightful and very skilled. Seriously, he came up with an awesome fix that worked the first time. He was honest and fair and I was really pleased at how well they took care of things from end to end.

The technician was ON TIME. Very professional, knew exactly how to approach the problem. He asked me to raise/lower the door a few times (just to save him a few steps.....absolutely ok by me.... I was in the garage just to watch how it was done anyway.), and had the old spring off, and the new one on in a matter of MINUTES. The LAST time this spring was broken and replaced (by a DIFFERENT COMPANY), the repairman was here for an hour and 30 minutes. 90 MINUTES. After arriving at the tail-end of the THREE HOUR window we were given....a long, drawn-out process as he told us his life story of working for a company that didn't appreciate his efforts. Dennis, on the other hand, was efficient, no effort wasted, and answered my questions as he worked without breaking stride! He was informative, honest and it was OBVIOUS he knew how to get the job done right the first time. He quoted the cost before he began the work, and that was the amount on the invoice. Period. What. A. Pleasure. Oh, by the way, he was done inside of 20 minutes from the time he stepped into the garage. 20 MINUTES. He also arrived EXACTLY at the beginning of the 2 hour window Michelle had estimated for me on the phone. Definitely signs of a well-organized staff. Garage Door Specialist, Inc. now has a customer (as well as me telling my neighbors and friends) for LIFE. They lived up to their website claims, and I truly look forward to having them out later to quote a replacement door in a few years!!!!!

The garage door suddenly stopped working and we called four different people and they all gave a rough estimate, except for these people, they gave an exact quote and that's exactly what they charged when they came out. The problem happened on a Saturday. And this company was the only one able to come out on a Saturday. Everyone else we called couldn't make it until Monday or Tuesday. Once he was here my husband talked to him about simply replacing the whole garage door opener since it was at least 10 years old we figured it probably wasn't going to last too much longer. But he said once he repaired it we should easily get several more years out of it. So we were very impressed that he actually talked us out of spending extra money. We will definitely use him again. And have already referred him to other neighbors.

They made it out the next day and were the best company scheduling-wise and were competitive with pricing. They were here right on-time. They were excellent with communication on the door. We have recommended their services to others.
