Adam did a great job changing out a broken torsion spring in about a 1/2 hr. I really appreciate the same day service.

The job went extremely well. They connected the new door to the existing opener and made sure that everything was perfectly lined up. The guys took a lot of pride in their work and went above and beyond the required. For instance, they knew what adjustments to make to prevent roller damage that would take years to occur. They even programmed my remotes (I just bought the house and the remotes were messed up) This company obviously hires and retains expert installers. Also, the entire process - quote, site visit, install - was very easy. I would strongly recommend Garage Door Specialists to anyone.

Very professional and on time. Knew exactly what needed to be done and told us that it was old and we were probably looking at future probllems. That they are fixable. So far no problems. We are very happy with the work.

The springs broke on a garage door at a house we rent out. Garage Door Specialists were able to come out the same day to look at it and do the work. They communicated well through the entire process, got an electronic receipt to us the next day and were reasonably priced. We used them again yesterday for a different repair and got the same-day response and repair again. We'll definitely continue to use them for any garage door issues.

There is nothing more to say, it's not like it was a big project. How much can you say about having a remote control programmed.

My technician - Bob was outstanding. I believe that he went above and beyond by reworking the whole system and it will last forever now as a result of that.

I've very pleased with the outcome of this project and with the service provided by Garage Door Specialist. I had them replace my 20-year-old garage doors with new insulated garage doors, add a high-lift kit, and upgrade the openers to jack-shaft openers. The guys that did the installation were professional, and did a great job. I'll definitely have them back out for any maintenance I may need.

The giant compression springs on our garage door broke. We still had the ability to open the door manually, but it was very difficult with the broken spring.... and those garage doors are HEAVY! We called Garage Door Specialist Inc (they had an Angie's List coupon that we used) and they were able to make an appointment for the next day. The technician showed up right on time. He quickly replaced the giant compression springs and oiled all the moving parts of the door. He recommended that we change out our steel rollers (which were loose) for quieter, nylon rollers. We agreed to the recommendation and saved on an additional service charge by having him replace the rollers during the same call. The garage door works great now and the nylon rollers really do help minimize the sound of the opening and closing of the door. I highly recommend Garage Door Specialist.

I couldn't be happier! They were able to install the door the day after I called. All the other estimates were higher and needed to custom order the door causing a 2-3 week wait. The installers got here on time and did the job very professionally. They are now doing a repair for my son at his home.

Provider showed up and knocked out the work quickly, as planned. They were able to get in within 3 days of calling for service, and the door works great. It's actually a bit quieter than my last door, since the spring type was different on the old model. Should be good to go for another 10+ years!

Excellent! Called at 10AM on Monday. Provided 11a-1p window. Tech arrived at 11:15a. Professional service at a reasonable price. By the way, called a competitor on Sat at 10AM and they did not return my phone call until 12:15PM on Monday -- after Garage Door Specialists had already completed the job!!

My tenants notified me at around 8:30pm one evening that the springs on the garage door at the house they are renting broke, and their car was stuck in the garage...it wouldn't even operate manually. I found GDSI on Angie's List, and called them at about 8:55pm, leaving a message and assuming they would call back sometime the next morning. By 9:05pm, Jimmy had called me back, and scheduled for a tech be at the house the very next morning. They gave a two hour window, and were there within the first half hour of it. The tech called with his assessment, and offered a longer term (and not much more expensive), solution to the problem, and had everything with him to fix it right then, and was done very quickly. Responsiveness for this company should be A++!! Their high level of service helped me maintain my high level of service as a landlord. Thanks guys!!

Couldn't ask for better service. They came the day after I called, did what I asked and the price was fair.

Called the company on a Saturday afternoon and was told that the tech would be at my home by 5:00PM. He arrived at 4:30PM. Went right to work checking out the problem and corrected it in short time. Very professional and courteous. I would definitely use Garage Door Specialists in the future.

Called provider on a Saturday morning - we had a broken spring and could not open our garage door. The provider made arrangements to work us in to their technicians schedule and he arrived the same day. He completed an initial repair to make the door functional and then came back as promised a week later to complete the job in full. The correct spring needed to be ordered.

They sent Bob out the same day that I called and he performed the needed repairs. He also took care of some general maintenance issues and completed a thorough inspection of the system. He was very knowledgeable and gave great advice.

He was terrific- he explained what he thought the initial issue was, looked over the entire door, identified potential issues to watch out for in the future. He then fixed the broken spring and bearings and did it quickly.

Work was excellent. He arrived on time, told me what he needed to do and how much it would cost, and completed the work in a timely manner. He left his phone number above the garage door opener which I will call if I have any more problems.

I am happy with the experience. When my garage door opener went out, they came out on the same day I called them to look at the problem. The technician adjusted the limits to get it working again. He told me it was an old opener and didn't know how much more service I would get out of it as it was a 14 year old unit and not in the best shape. The unit was working when he left but failed again the following day. He came back out the next day and told me the unit needed replacing. He got a quote for me and his company agreed to apply the service call fee I had already paid towards the installation of a new unit. I thought this was a fair deal and their price was very reasonable. They came back out and installed a new unit which is much quieter and nicer than my old one. I am happy with how they made an honest attempt to repair my old unit before recommending replacement plus putting my original service call fee towards the new one. I would recommend them to anyone who needs work on their garage opener and/or door.

I originally called for repair on one of our garage doors. A technician was available to come the same day I called. Bob came and looked at both doors and gave a quote for repairing. Since we've had several issues with both doors and both were bent and would eventually need replacing, I had him give a quote for replacing both, along with adding quieter motors. Bob was very thorough in explaining repair vs replacement - not pushing for either. We decided to replace both doors and motors. Because we chose a basic stock door, he was able to come back 3 days later and do a full replacement. The doors are great, much quieter, and Bob gave some tips on ongoing maintenance we could do. We're very happy with the work and would definitely call these guys again.
