DK Appliance Repair

Kris is extremely bright and professional. He arrived an hour EARLY on his second visit, and he installed the new board quickly. We did need to reprogram, and Kris helped me do that while taking me through a series of steps on the phone. This was outstanding service! I will definitely call DK Appliance Repair the next time something breaks.

When I contacted DK they were very cordial, set up an appt date and explained the charges. The repairman Chris, called me 1/2 hour before he arrived to tell me when he would be at my home. Chris was well dressed, polite and explained what he was doing the entire time. There was a small part that needed to replaced which Chris informed was not essential to the operation of the dishwasher. He called the supply center to inquire about the charge for the piece and then I was able to make a decision as to whether to purchase it or not. The service call was $70. Chris spent about 45 minutes on fixing the dishwasher so there was additional charge of $20.00. I felt the charges were reasonable plus I had a dishwasher that actually worked! I decided to replace the piece and I was pleased that Chris was the serviceman sent out, the additional cost was only for the piece, no additional labor even though he had to totally disassemble the dishwasher!

We were very pleased with this company. They replied promptly, were punctual in their visit, and the work was completed to our satisfaction. And the price seemed reasonable.

They were very good. They explained what they were doing. They came very promptly. The repair was more expensive than I anticipated. He explained what he thought it was and what it turned out to be instead. I didn't want to pay the price, but I thought it was fair.

Service was great, price was fair, no complaints or problems.

When I called, they told me upfront what they charge for a call and were able to give me an appointment the next day. The repairman arrived on time and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. (A solonoid had worn out and the machine was not holding water; This is what I had suspected from the noise the machine was making, but I did not offer my opinion.). Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional.

Repair guy was very professional and effecient.

Dryer had blown an internal fuse. It was a hard problem to diagnose, but after several tries, parts were replaced and the dryer is as good as new.

They were fair and honest. I appreciated that he didn't make a problem to fix and charge me for. I would hire them again.

We were very pleased with the service provided by DK Appliance. They were punctual, knowledgeable, very neat and there services were fairly priced. I would definitely use them again.

Very pleasant to work with. Donna answered the phone and made an appointment. Donna phoned again before Kris arrived to say he was on his way. Kris got part way into where the gas valve was and found that it was very difficult to get to. Kris said he had not worked on that before, so did not want to go ahead and mess something up. He called another repair company to do the work. Because Kris did not repair the problem he DID NOT CHARGE. Donna called back after contacting the new company, gave us their name and phone number, and said they would be calling for an appointment, which they did.

Asked questions, fixed the problem quickly. It was quite apparent that he was knowledgeable and experienced.

I woke in the am, opened the fridge for some milk and noticed it wasn?t very cold. Then I opened the freezer and saw that nothing was fully frozen. I contacted my landlord who lives in CA. They had a listing of qualified companies in the area through the use of ?Angie?s List?. DK Appliance & Repair was number one on the listing. We both left a message on their machine and were contacted that same day (I believe within an hour or so) and an appointment was made for the following day. Unfortunately the following day brought on snow and we had to reschedule for the next day. The repairman arrived when he said he would. He worked quickly to resolve the issue and was very courteous.

I called DK Appliance on Monday, Chris fixed the problem on Tuesday. $70 for the service call + $20 for the repair. He even volunteered to help my wife reload the freezer after the repairs had been completed.

He called when he was on the way, arrived right on time and was very professional in his manner. He figured out what was wrong and fortunately had the parts with him so he could fix it right away. I was happy and the water was running again.

Even if I had not started out with the worst appliance repair in the Triangle (possibly in the country), I would still consider DK one of the very best companies. These people know what customer service is all about. The dispatcher (Dawn) answered all my questions; when she didn't know an answer, she researched it, then called me back. The service technician (Chris) called to say he was on his way (always during the 2 hour appointment). He showed up on time and did his work efficiently. Probably the best benefit was how DK helped me solve a nightmare. We moved into this house less than 6 months ago. At closing, we obtained a warranty to cover appliances. When we called the warranty company about the malfunctioning oven, they referred us to another company. We spent more than a month trying to get the warranty company and the other company to actually service the oven. Eventually, I decided to get this done on my own and to sue the warranty company. I found DK through Angie's List. I gave Dawn a bit of information about how we had problems getting the service done elsewhere, but never shared any details. On his own Chris figured out what my predicament must be. When he arrived the first time, he advised me that DK also contracts with the warranty company. Bottom line, I was able to get the service referral changed to DK. When Chris returned, he had already ordered and received the parts. The installation was a snap and the oven has worked well since. Most important, being able to work through the warranty company saved us hundreds of dollars (our out of pocket expenses turned out to be $0).

Great repair job, and they were easy to work with.

I was quite pleased overall. The technician showed up on time (calling on his way over to confirm), and was polite and clear in his explanations. I mentioned when making the appointment that I found them on Angie's List and the technician subtracted the discount advertised on Angie's List without me having to ask. This is the first time I've used DK but I will definitely call them again.

The service was great from the first phone call. Technician was professional, careful, and on time. I will use them again!

My initial phone call was promptly returned by Dawn, she said a repairman would be there the next day between noon and 3. They would call first, and they would need make, model, and serial number, which I could leave on their answering machine. I looked up the serial number, etc. once I got home, and emailed and left voicemail. Repairman arrived timely, after first calling ahead as promised. He looked the washer over thoroughly and could find no leak, so the charge was just the base $65 for the service call. The washer has since worked without any leaks.

They responded to my call in a short time. They did excellent work in replacing the pump. They cleaned up after the job was done. The washer is working fine.

The gentleman from DK Appliance Repair showed up within the promised hour and quickly found the source of the leak in side the washer. He replaced a hose and filter very quickly and tested the machine. No more leaks! I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Will definitely call him again if any more appliances need repair.

Discovered freezer was not working after returning from holiday weekend. Called early next morning, got immediate response & work was completed by 3 pm that day. Chris the technician was great.

Great overall experience. I emailed on a Sunday afternoon and at 8:00 Monday morning I had received a call. At 12 noon Kris was at my door to inspect my refrigerator. Kris arrived when he said he would, worked quickly to diagnose the problem, provided a clear overview of what my problem was, and then returned to install the part. Very efficient, polite, and pleasant.

We have a baby in reusable diapers and two teenagers, so our washer gets quite a workout. The coupler broke Friday morning, so I called our "usual" repairman, but he could not get to it until Monday. I called the other numbers he gave me: One repairman was ill, one said it was too far for him to bother, and a third never called back. I then went to Angie's List, and called the closest person (less than 5 miles away), DK Appliance Repair. My phone call was returned within 5 minutes, and not only was I was assured the job could be done the same day, I was given several times to choose among. The repairman, Kris Reed, was right on time, polite and super efficient--he had torn down the machine, replaced the broken parts, and had everything reassembled within 15 minutes of his arrival! Best of all, the cost was less than I had paid our former "usual" repairman for the exact same job two years ago. Kudos to DK Appliance Repair, and Kris Reed in particular. Professional, reasonably priced, polite, friendly and accommodating. Who could ask for more? Suffice it to say we now have a new "usual" repairman.
