Dishwasher repair. The technician was on time, courteous, and quick! He found the issue with the dishwasher, explained it to me, put everything back and was gone in about 15 minutes. Good work!

I had no problem making an appointment. I was told when I called that there would be a $60 trip charge which would be applied to the cost of the repair. The technician arrived promptly and seemed very knowledgable and nice. He assured me that although the water pump was faulty, it was still functioning and it wouldn't hurt anything to keep using the dishwasher until it quit working. The office called 2 days later with the cost of replacing the water pump, which was $115 (after deducting the $60 trip charge & 10% discount as an Angies List member). Since my dishwasher is a low-end model and approximately 4 yrs old, I decided to put the money toward a new one, rather than spend half the original cost of the dishwasher to repair it. I appreciated the technician's frankness and honesty. So far, the dishwasher is still running.

Clothes dryer stopped drying. Went to Angie's list. DK Appliance Repair stood out as quality organization. Phoned DK on Tuesday and service was promised next day. Technician showed up as promised and went to work immediately. He quickly diagnosed the problem, obviously competant and experienced. Replaced the failed componant and was gone in just minutes. I will definitly call on DK when I need appliance service in the future.

I called them on a Thursday, and they set an appointment for the following Tuesday. The technician showed up on time. I explained the problem to him. He noticed that the plug had a spot on it where it had obviously arced when the breaker was tripped. He said that the cord was damaged and once that was replaced, that would fix the problem. He did not have a cable with him, and said he could be back the next day. Since I had already taken the day off work, I went to Home Depot and bought a new cord and a new box, and replaced them both. The problem was still there. I called the office at that point to see if I could get someone to come back out since the problem was not fixed. The receptionist was very nice, and was able to get the same technician to come back the same day. The technician was not able to fix the problem after about an hour of work. He refunded my money. He then called a technician from another company to come take a look the next day. The other guy was able to fix it. All in all everyone was very nice and the technician tried, but just didn't have the experience to fix it.

We returned late on 12/29/10 to find a puddle of water near the dishwasher. I called DK early on 12/30 and received a courteous and professional response. An appointment was scheduled for later that day. The owner Kris arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. At my husband's request, he also installed a new seal on the dishwasher door. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We were completely pleased with his work, the price and the entire experience and will definitely call DK again for appliance repairs.

I could not possibly be more impressed with this company's service than I am. I called their office after-hours, left a voice mail, and received a return call within a few minutes. Kris showed up bright and early the next morning and did a stellar job. He was the consummate professional in every way -- dress, manner, knowledge, etc. Called as promised when en route, worked quickly and efficiently, and even offered to remove his shoes upon entering my home. I will absolutely use this company again the next time I have an appliance issue!

They did a great job. They came when they said they would and charged me an extremely reasonable price. They were very professional. I would use them again.

Woke up Thanksgiving morning to everything in my freezer defrosted and realized that the frig had also warmed up. Called several places for service on Friday morning. One place I got an answering machine that said they did not do emergency service and would not be open till Monday, and the other was able to book an appointment for me Tuesday morning. Over the weekend, I got on Angie's List and found DK Appliances. I called them Monday morning about 7:30 and left a message. Even though they don't open until 9:00, I got a call back around 8:00 and was scheduled for an appointment between 12 and 3. Kris called to let me know that he was on his way and showed up shortly after 12. He fixed the problem in no time and for less money than I was expecting to pay. He even told me about a website to go to check for recalls on my appliance.

Things turned out well as they did a good job. They were very professional in their communication with me.

Initially, the serviceman thought the problem was a blocked dryer vent hose. However, after we cleaned hose, we still had trouble so the sent the repairman out again at no charge. He then found the trouble and made the necessary repairs.

He had to come back another day to install the part because he didn't have it in stock. He did not charge for the return visit. He was running late that morning but did make it to my house within the time window for the appointment. Kris is a nice guy and a hard worker. I will hire him again when his services are needed.

We had a dryer that was not working. They came out and tried installing a new timer. It worked briefly but when out again. The owner and service person, explained that it was a faulty breaker and he would only charge us for the service call, not the part that he installed. They were right on time and very professional. Even though they couldn't fix it, we got it diagnosed for just a service call. An electrician came later and they were right that it was the breaker. It's all fixed now.

Wonderful experience with DK Appliances! From the start, it was a very smooth, efficient and hassle-free transaction. Unlike my past experiences with Sears, I was able to contact them and schedule an appointment in a timely manner. Kristopher, the technician, called prior to the appointment to inform me of his exact arrival time during our scheduled time. He was prompt, courteous and helpful in replacing the left side hinge mechanism on my dishwasher. During this first visit, he assessed the oven panel and confirmed its need of replacement. He informed me that DK Appliances would call in about a week to inform me when the part arrives and to schedule a follow up installation appointment. On point, I received a polite call in a week and scheduled a timely return for DK Appliances. In between these two visits, the right side hinge mechanism for my dishwasher broke. Seriously. When Kristopher returned to repair the oven, he replaced the right hinge for no additional charge for part or labor! DK Appliances provided much value for a very reasonable cost. I am so pleased with DK Appliances that I will recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

He was easy to schedule with, prompt, professional and reasonable. Where others told me I needed to replace my washer & dryer, he fixed it for a reasonable price. I am calling him today to fix my dryer (taking a long time to dry) and this will be the 3rd time I've used him in the last 2 years. Needless to say, I have been very pleased with his work and as long as nothing changes, he's got me as a customer for life.

Maytag dryer stopped working on Sunday. Called Monday morning for an appointment. Appointment was made for Wednesday afternoon. Representative arrived on-time and quickly diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse. He returned the following day with the necessary part; he fixed the fuse and also cleaned out the dryer vent. Dryer has been working fine ever since. I'd definitely call them again.

I called to have my dryer repaired. It was making a loud noise but was otherwise working ok. The service man took it apart, did some lubrication but could not located the source of the noise. He then arranged for another company (with more experience?) to come another day to diagnose the problem. A repairman from another company came and couldn't diagnose the problem either. He suggested replacing the motor and gave me an estimate. I decided that it was not worth the money to repair it and would wait until it quit working to replace it. A few days later DK appliance called back and asked if I wanted to repair the dryer. I told them that the other company had given me an estimate and that it was more than I thought the dryer was worth. They then offered to repair it for less money but I still decided not to invest the money in the 6 yr old dryer. It has been 9 months since then and the dryer is still noisy but works fine.

Very well, he was easy to work with and did not mind me asking a lot of questions. I would definitely have him back out to repair any of our appliances.

As stated, after a brief description of the problem to Kris over the phone, he had narrowed the possible causes of the problem to one or two. It took very little time to diagnose and repair. A very pleasant experience. DK showed up when scheduled, diagnosed the problem quickly and were clear and precise about charges. I would strongly recommend them.

Very well. While waiting for the parts supplier to call back with a price and availability, Kris shared that he had previously worked for Maytag and Sears. The knowledge gained at both of these companies is very valuable in quickly diagnosing a problem related to any appliance. Another benefit -- because our total bill exceeded $150, we were entitled to a 10% discount on parts.

The service provider called 15 minutes before he was supposed to arrive, arrived on time and was very nice and professional.

I have used him before. He does a great job every time. His charges are reasonable. I would use him in the future if I needed to.

When I called, 11-16-2009, I received voice mail but was called back within a short time period. The woman I spoke with was very nice and was able to set up an appointment that was convenient to my schedule. She explained the service call charge. She asked if I could call back, leaving a message, with the model and serial number which I did. Because of work demands I did have to reschedule which was handled very nicely, Thank You. Repairman called 15 minutes prior to arrival, was polite, professional, and on time. After checking out several things he was able to determine that it was the plug. The cord was plugged in but not tightly meaning I only had 110v rather than 220v- why the dryer would run but without heat. He spent time explaining and showing me this which I appreciated. Only charge was the service call. There is a reason they are rated well on Angie's list!

They did a good job. I think it's a one man operation. The gentleman who came out had to contact the supplier and he had to make about 3 to 4 trips to my house which he did. Everything worked out fine. He went the extra mile to make sure that the repair was done correctly. The price charged was good. There was a problem in the way the dish washer was repaired. So, I had to fix it myself. He was very responsive and helpful. He answered all my questions. He was not late for the appointment, but he was 2 hours early. He was on time and he got the part to repair the appliance. The part was reasonably priced as well. He didn't damage anything or spill things on the floor. I would use their services in the future, as I have quite a lot to be repaired and I like them.
