DK Appliance Repair

They seem to have a problem with solving their problems no matter how many times they try. I understand something after the first time. But we're several weeks in and I'm about to book my fourth appointment and it's gotten to the point where it's just frustrating. What really upset me was when I explained that it was getting frustrating that I had already paid for 2 appointments and the problem still wasn't solved, their customer service rep told me to take it up with the technician. That's not good customer service at all.

Tech (Chris, I believe) arrived on time. I had given the appointment setter the model number of the refrigerator. Tech had proper replacement circuit board with him. He said that this was a common problem on this unit. Repair took all of 20 minutes to fix. Very nice tech.

They were polite and helpful. They were on time and informative and they cleaned up afterwards. We were really pleased with them. The person that took the initial call was most polite and thorough.

Overall the job went well. The refrigerator is working well and the repair saved us the larger expense of replacing the entire thing. I found everyone I interacted with to be very pleasant and professional. I would use them in the future should the need arise.

The year old dryer (Whirlpool) started making an interesting noise. Of course it's just past a year and out of warranty. Well the noise was progressively worse so we called DK Appliance repair. Chris came out, he was great. Asked if he should takeoff his shoes which was a yes. He went to work quickly but had a difficult time tracking the problem down but not for the lack of trying. He called Jose a friend in the the industry. Jose tried to diagnose the problem over the phone and wound up coming back with Chris the next day to get to the bottom of it. When they come back the next day they tracked the noise to the blower wheel that was cracked but difficult to see. It took a few days to get the part but the dryer is up and running. Thanks guys.

Over the weekend our washing machine started leaking and I left a voice mail message. Minutes after 9:00 AM Monday morning the message was returned and an appointment was set for between noon and 3:00 PM that day. The tech arrived around 1:30 and he spent considerable time before the problem was replicated and more time finding the needed part. The part was shipped Tuesday and I was given an appointment between 9:00 and noon Wednesday morning. The tech arrived just after 9:00 AM and the part was installed. The original service charge was $65.00; the part was $21.00 plus $10.00 technical service time, a total of $96.00. I have rarely been so pleased with a service provider and have already been recommeding them to all my friends. They went above and beyond my expectations. They certainly deserve an Angie's List endorsement!

It was great. He was the best service person we've ever had do work for us. The price was about $200 less than another estimate we had.

When I first saw the repairman at the door(sorry I cannot remember his name), I was very impressed with him. He was very neatly dressed & professional looking. After a cordial greeting, he immediately went downstairs to ascertain the problem with the washer. As stated above I told him about finding the water on the floor & finding the water hose still in the drain. I left & he went right to work determing the problem. Later he told me what the problem was & told me he needed to get a pump & return at 5 o'clock. Later he notified me that he could come at 4 o'clock. By 5 he had the washer fixed. He completed the bill, and told me there was a 60 day warranty on the pump which he wrote on the bill. I was very impressed with him. This is 2nd time I have used Angie's List & both times I have been impressed with the professionalism & expertise of the repairmen.

Very professional and efficient company. While making the appointment, the trip charge etc was discussed in detail. There were no surprises with unexpected charges or acceptable payment methods. Service was available within 2 days. The part was ordered and was installed the day after the original service appt. Technician was the owner and was very knowledgeable about my microwave and other home appliances. Very personable and willing to share information on a variety of home appliances. They also offered a 90 day warranty on the repair. I would definitely utilize this company in the future for appliance repair.

They are excellent. They are efficient, tact, and honest. They were outstanding. I really, really appreciate them. I think their price was very fair.

My entire experience with DK Repair was terrific. My washing machine had stopped working over the weekend. I spoke with Dawn on the phone and she was very polite, responsive and was able to have a repairman come out the following day. Chris, the repairman, was very polite, professional and highly skilled. He quickly diagnosed, explained the cause of the problem (excess fur in pump kept tub from spinning) and corrected the problem. He also did a great job cleaning up. I was so impressed with this company and they will definitely be the ones I call next time an appliance breaks down.

When we found the refrigerator wasn't cooling, we contacted DK Appliance. They answered the phone and began the diagnostic process. They were both courteous and knowledgeable. Within 24 hours, and within their scheduling window, they had the problem fixed. While that's good enough in itself, the Owner offered advice on how to prevent the issue in the future, recommendations for better equipment and solutions to other potential issues of this particular brand of refrigerator. I know not all experiences can be the same, but the way DK Appliance took care of our situation leads me to HIGHLY recommend them for your (or our future) repair needs.

After making the appointment, I had to call back in the evening to leave the model number/serial number info on their voicemail. He arrived the next afternoon within the designated time window and looked and behaved in a very professional manner. He brought the potentially needed parts, made the diagnosis and repair, and was gone in about 20 minutes. I would definitely call then again.

They were very good. I was really pleased because I thought I needed a new dryer and they fixed. The dryer was clogged up with lint and he had to take the back off. It wouldn’t dry any clothes. Everything seemed fine.

Ice maker continues to work and it is a year later.

Technician (Chris) arrived on time, took a look at the washer, and confirmed my non-expert diagnosis. He did have to order the gasket, but he returned in three days and installed it. This was a simple problem with an easy fix. However, I would call DK again if I had a more serious large appliance problem, because this was a good experience.

Very well. The repairman arrived before the appointment time and was sitting in the driveway waiting when we arrived at our house. He was courteous, thorough and entirely professional. We were impressed.

Dishwasher was not cleaning well, contacted them through AngiesList, they emailed back promptly, got my appliance info (part number and serial number) so that they could bring parts with them. The service tech showed up after calling 30 minutes prior to arrival. He was courteous, listened and diagnosed the problem, and had it fixed within 30 minutes. Great job!

They were wonderful! They came out right away and were able to figure out the problem. They even offered to come out on a Saturday. They told us if we would have not found out what the problem was it would have burned out the refrigerator. We ended up needing a new defroster unit and it solved the problem.

Kris arrived on time. He was pleasant, efficient and explained to us step by step what he needed to do. We really enjoyed working with this family run business. It beats the big box appliance repair hands down. We will now call him for all of our appliance repair.

Kris was very prompt, courteous and professional. Prior to the visit they asked the model and serial number of kitchenaid refrigerator, so he came prepared with the part he used. After replacing the part he showed me what had happened with the original part. I highly recommend Kris with dk appliance

My husband took time off from work to have the repair done. Kris was prompt and said he did not have the part with him to fix it. So, my husband took time off from work a second time, when the part was available. The next day, there was a puddle in front of the dishwasher. My husband took time off from work a third time, and Kris said the leak was due to food under the floater device in the dishwasher. After that we had no problems. What bothered us, is that he didn't check that first (as the cause of problem) and whether we replaced a part unnecessarily. It may have been due to lack of experience.

When I called they were great about letting me know that they were already booked up for the week and couldn't come until early the following week, in case my problem was urgent and I needed to call another company. My problem was not urgent so I scheduled the appointment for the following week. The appointment was for a two-hour time frame, and I was told that I'd be called 10 to 20 minutes in advance. What I especially liked is that the person scheduling the appointment asked me if that was enough time for an advance call or if I would need more advance notice. I really appreciated this customer service detail in their appointment scheduling process, and was glad to be able to ask for no less than 20 minutes notice. The technician arrived on time and was very professional. Not being able to find the cause of the noise I'd reported or duplicate it, he offered a few tips about things to listen for and common problems that occur with our style of washer. He also made a point of informing me about the 60 warranty, which I appreciated. As it happens, I did notice the noise again, after I moved the washer back into a snugger position. That's when I realized that this was likely the cause of the noise - being to close to the dryer or the back wall. When the technician was testing it, it had been pulled away from things to get better access to it. After re-positioning it into a less snug spot, the noise has disappeared.
