The representative was in and out within 10 minutes with the problem solved. I was given a couple of options and did not feel manipulated or over-serviced.... I will use them again. Thanks!

On a April 18, I called GE Service to fix my above stove GE microwave. However, they were unable to get someone out until Apr 25. So I tried calling DK Appliance repair who scheduled someone for Apr. 22. On the 22nd, the tech called and arrived as scheduled. The tech asked if he needed to take off his shoes, a thoughtful question but not needed. He believed it was 1 of 2 things. He opened up the microwave, identified the bad component, and replaced it in about 5 minutes. It worked fine. He then billed my credit card and sent a receipt electronically using his iPad, which took another 3 minutes. In brief, excellent service, including the billing to my credit card, and a competitive price, I think. The service call was $65 so the component and the service and tax was another $23.

I absolutely Love DK Appliance. When my washing machine timer stopped advancing on it's own, I called DK Appliance immediately. I had used them before to replace a part in my freezer. Very professional, curtious, and Quick. Kris called about 15 min. before arriving to let me know he was on his way. It only took him 15 min to look at the situation. He then told me how much it would cost and how long it would take to get the part. Before he left He set an appointment to come back out and sent an invoice to my email all at the same time. I was very impressed when he arrived with the part and took only 15 min to complete the job. Both visits I came home on my lunch hour and was back to work on time. Love it.

DK provided excellent service. Came with all necessary parts. Was very personable. I have since spoken with another contractor about a paving project that I found through Angie's List who also used DK Appliance after he found them on Angie's List.

They are very responsive. I got service the second day after I called. Service call trip charge is $65, and moving the washer is $20. The most wonderful thing is, it's a rental property, and I did not have to be there for them to do the work. They charged my credit card over the phone. Totally impressed!

Refrigerator had been acting up -- on and off cooling. Angie's Big Deal offered $65 diagnosis call which was scheduled right before Christmas holidays and kept promptly. I was told part needed to be ordered. Due to several family commitments over the holiday, actual repair was not scheduled at my request until end of January. So far the problem with refrigerator seems to be resolved. My issues with the service and why I would not call this company again are (1) service man did not explain problem well even tho I asked twice so I was never clear what he was fixing and what part he was replacing and he did not show me the bad part after it was removed to show me how it had gone wrong; and (2) he knocked a magnet off my refrigerator and it broke -- this would have been rather minor altho the magnet did have sentimental value but he didn't say anything and just threw it away in the trash with the bad part. I didn't discover the broken magnet until I found a piece on the floor and then looked my trash. If he'd just told me, I would not be disturbed enough to not call DK Appliances for future service.

Except for the delay while the part was shipped from Charlotte, the whole process went very smoothly.

Don't expect a problem on a three year old Samsung Microwave... and was surprised that an appliance company doesn't work on a particular brand. Raises questions.

Overall a good experience start to finish. My phone call was returned promptly and we were able to schedule an appointment within a few days. It has been working well ever since it was repaired.

I called another repair company, waited over a week for an appointment, then was told that repair to a burner on my stove would cost me over $300 in special order parts. The co apparently forgot to place the order but I can't complain. I called DK Appliance Repair and described the problem but didn't mention the other company that had already been out. I was able to get an appointment w/in two days. Their technician came out, quickly diagnosed the same problem, and told me that my repair required parts (the same ones mentioned by the first company) that had been recalled by the manufacturer. He told me that, although he could do the work for me, if I called a Sears authorized service provider I could have it fixed at no cost due to the recall status of the parts. DK was cognizant of recall information for appliance parts that they would most likely never be called upon to replace. I'd say that goes beyond the call of duty. This man was honest enough to bring this to my attention knowing that I would be required to take my business elsewhere. He didn't have to tell me and likely I would never have found out. He didn't charge me the $65 service fee I was quoted either. This was probably a small thing to him and DK lost a bit of time and money in service to me but I have $300 worth of gratitude. The little ways in which companies can go the extra mile make huge differences in the lives of their customers

The technician correctly diagnosed our problem with a Maytag refrigerator, and came back with a part in two days. He was professional and courteous. He also noticed we were having trouble with a microwave unit which we had pulled out of the wall. We tried to trouble shoot it ourselves and were not successful. He said to call him if we were not able to troubleshoot it ourselves -- which we weren't. He graciously came back and diagnosed and replaced a faulty door latch without charging us an extra service call fee. We very much appreciated not being charged for another service call. Both appliances are working great now.

When my freezer started leaking and I couldn't figure out why, I used Angie's List to find a repair company. DK Appliance had a lot of positive reviews. When I made the appointment there was a baby crying at the other end of the phone so that was a little unprofessional. The appointment was scheduled for a few days later. I was called 15 minutes before Kris arrived. He didn't have any tools with him besides a flashlight. He poured some water down the drain and told me the line wasn't blocked. Then turned on the ice maker and water dispenser and could not find a leak anywhere. I was told to call back if it leaked again and that would be a free service call. I was told that the water was likely coming from the inside of the freezer and dripping out if the drain was frozen and it would appear that the water was coming out from under the freezer. He failed to notice the large crack in the drain pan though or the smaller crack. He should have investigated more and found the problem so that it could have been fixed. I found this company unprofessional and not very knowledable about the appliances for anything more than a simple fix. It is possible that the initial cracks were smaller and the subsequent leaks made them larger, I do find it wrong that he left and charged me without diagnosing the problem. When my freezer leaked again, I decided to find someone else who was capable of figuring out the problem so I could stop the leaks. I wish I had called the professional company the first time so I wasn't out the service fee twice. But at least the issue is fixed now. I am very skeptical of all the positive reviews from the experience I had.

Called them up for a dishwasher making an odd grinding noise and the tech came out quickly. Part needed to be ordered - there was a delay when the wrong one was delivered, but I was never charged for that part or the extra visit. Once e right one was installed, it all worked great. I will use them again.

He came on time, explained what he was doing, taught me how to check a couple of things myself, showed me the bill, and i paid using his Ipad and my credit card. Done and Done.

I used this service through my home-buyers warranty and had a great experience, the Technician called me ahead of time and was quick in diagnosing the issue as well as with his return visit to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend them.

I could not ask for better service from the first contact with Dawn on the phone to Kris walking out our door with the washer repaired. They are very professional, knowledgable, friendly, and punctual. I will recommend DK Appliance Repair highly! Thanks Angie's List for guiding me to them. Libbie

The same thing happened about a year earlier. It is apparently a common problem across various models and makes. As usual, DK Appliance understands customer service better than just about anyone else I've dealt with. They tell you exactly what to expect, and then that is what happens. They give you a time window for when the technician will show up, and he does come within that time. They ask if you want a call when he's on his way, and if you say yes, you get that call. They tell you what the base fee is (in my case, since I used this company before, they asked if I wanted to be reminded of how it worked, and I said yes). One thing I forgot was that although the base fee is for the service call and diagnosing the problem, it can also include the basic repair. The technician (I think it was Kris) said that unless there's a lot of extra work, it would not be over the base $65 fee. And so that's what I paid. After seeing what's involved in getting to the drain to get rid of the ice, it's not something I would trust myself to do without messing something up. Kris was willing to hang a copper wire I'd prepared over the freezer defroster and down into the drain, a "fix" I'd read about on the internet. He was familiar with doing this to keep the freezer drain from freezing up in the future, not confident that it really would prevent future occurrences, but willing to go ahead and do it anyway. I appreciated that he was willing to accommodate my wishes for this home-remedy approach. Anyway, DK Appliance Repair says it's a small family business, but they sure know how to run a business right. Oh, they take checks but not credit cards, and I can't say I blame them. I recommend them highly.

Found DK Appliance Repair on Angie's List. Called and got the office manager, who was very polite and professional. She told me what to expect re: fees, timing, and repairs. Scheduled an appt. for 2 days later. As promosed, the technician called on his way to my house, which was on the early side of their window (which worked out perfectly for me). The technician was super-friendly, very knowledgable, and fixed my washer in no time! He also explained what was wrong with my washing machine (found a rock and two pennies in the pump). The cost was very reasonable. So glad I called them! Will use these guys again!

Chris showed up promptly. He was very professional and knowledgable. He found/fixed the leak and charged the system with freon. This was something the Sears technicians were unable to do on 2 seperate visits. I would highly recommend him for any refrigeration issues.

They only give a 30 day notice and there are others that give anywhere from a 90 day to 1 year warranty for their work. I had them replace an ice maker in a rental and less than six months later I'm replacing it again. I will be using another company to do the replacement this time with a one year warranty with a quote less than the first time I replaced the ice maker.

Very impressed with the quality and service of my 1st time experience using DK. My call was returned within 10 minutes. He came the next morning. I had given the person on the phone my model and serial number for my refrigerator (she told me where to find it) and he brought one with him when he came. In other words, it wasn't look at it now, order the part, and then come back again. Very Efficient!! I was even talking to him about our dryer that was squeaking. He asked me what kind it was (GE) and then told me how to fix it! I had told him my husband was a mechanic and liked to fix things himself. So, I got free advice on how my husband could fix our dryer. Very Nice!!

Excellent service! Our technician was very knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous. We will definitely use this company again.

I used DK Appliance two years ago and was pleased with the prompt and professional service, and was just as pleased this time. They responded quickly to my requests for an appointment, showed up when they said they would, and were very courteous and careful.

The service provider called soon after I left message. I did not use the service provider as the repair rate seemed open ended.
