Description of Work: After a bad experience with a door-to-door Moxie Pest Control salesman - who misrepresented service contracts with my neighbors - I called Custom Termite and spoke to Jackie who explained their services and slotted us into the next appt. available. There was no pressure and Jackie was knowledgeable and friendly. | |The technician, Mike, showed up exactly on time, was great with our dog, and took a lot of time to explain to me the chemicals he would use, where he would spray and that he would point out any trouble spots. | |He was super patient and answered all my questions and assured me that everything was pet friendly and what stuff had to dry first. He also put out some bait for mice in the garage (up high, out of reach) and took off his shoes before going into the house. Had a wonderful impression and look forward to a long relationship with this company. | |

+ -1 moreThey treated both the inside and outside of the house and even destroyed two fire ant mounds in my yard at no extra charge. So impressed with their knowledge and service that I set up a recurring schedule (every 3-4 months) and I am going to get them to do my initial termite treatment this spring 2011! Most importantly, I have not had any ant (or other bug) problems since they came. Highly recommend. No typo on the initial service date...I have just been lax about getting on here to review them.

He cares about the quality of the service and he happily follows up for hard to control issues like those little ants!!! The office is also very professional and is happy to work with you on scheduling. We are very pleased with our service and it works!
Description of Work: We use Custom Termite and Pest for quarterly pest control and we could not be happier. We live in a very old house with lots of cracks and crevices so need help from time to time with ants and mice. So, in addition to the quarterly service, we will occasionally call them out in between time.

+ -1 moreThere is a new office person who is scheduling visits; I have only had one conversation with her to date. The prior office person was quite nice. She was with the company since we started using them until very recently. Ed is the person with whom we have usually worked since the beginning of our contract. He is personable, punctual, polite and competent. I do not feel at all uncomfortable with him in the house (that sense of trust is very important to me). He asks if we're experiencing any problems and ensures that he addresses any that we may have. He answers my questions with no difficulties or hesitation, is quick, but thorough.
Description of Work: We have had Custom Termite & Pest Control come to the house since we moved in over 3 years ago. They were recommended to us and we have been very satisfied with their services since then. They come in quarterly for pest control and on those rare occasions we have "breakthrough" bugs, I have called and they've promptly responded with an extra visit at no charge. They do an annual termite inspection, as well. The people are very nice! (One of the things I've noticed is that there does not seem to be a lot of turnover-at least, that's been our experience. That says alot to me as a customer.) The annual cost ($300/year for pest control + $110 for the annual termite inspection) is the only concern I have; I am not sure that once we're on a fixed income, we will be able to afford it. I have not researched alternative means of achieving the same end as a formally scheduled extermination service; that would be something I would recommend for those with the same concern.

+ -1 moreIf we have a problem in between the quarterly service, they come out free of charge. They are very clean and quick to respond. I've been nothing but impressed with this company. The price is per quarter. I would highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreOutstanding performance. They showed up on time; explained all their work as they went; showed me every item of concern; invited me to watch them work and ask as many questions as I wanted. They worked diligently and efficiently. For the annual inspection or the quarterly treatments, they call to schedule appointments, and they show up exactly when they say they will. During a particularly rainy season, we had an influx of ants. I called and they had someone come by as soon as they finished the work they were on, and he treated the infestation very effectively. We had some wood rot detected during remodeling. In the rotted wood were winged ants. They responded to my call within an hour; inspected the pests; confirmed that they were not termites or other wood-eating insects; educated me and the repairmen about what to look for in the future; and charged nothing, saying it was a service covered by our annual contract. I couldn't have asked for more.
Description of Work: Inspect and repair termite damage; drill and treat foundation and garage floor; treat planting beds adjacent to foundation; eradicate ants and other pests; prepare pest infestation warranty; and spray quarterly for pests.
