Based on the excellent experience I had on taking advantage of an Angie's List deal to check for water leaks, I asked for an estimate to replace my toilets. CK did an outstanding job. I checked the toilets he recommended with Consumer Reports; they were highly recommended and CK provided an excellent price. The workers who came (Bob and Seth) were prompt, professional, and friendly, and they went the extra mile. I could not be more pleased with my new toilets and washing machine hoses and have already recommended this company to other friends.

Chris Kousis is the consummate professional plumber! He is prompt (usually slightly ahead-of-schedule), LISTENS to the customer, suggests solutions, discusses alternatives, and then executes with promptness and precision. If for any reason, he cannot complete multiple services in one visit, he works with the customer to schedule services to everyone's satisfaction. We have used his services on 3 separate occasions for a reason: He does a quality job, he is absolutely a pleasure to work with (great personality, customer-focused, knowledgeable), and his charges are reasonable. We first met him when he did some work for a different contractor that put in a patio for us. Chris extended the sewage clean-out through our patio pavers and did a great job to address our concerns about aesthetics! Based on how pleased we were with him, we had him come back to replace out hot water heater. Even though he has a usual source for heaters, he put in a unit of our preferred brand (that we had done extensive research on). (I will admit that it is highly likely that his usual source is equally good... the evidence seems to suggest so...) Most recently, he efficiently diagnosed a shower drain leak and repaired that in a way that should be a permanent fix. We can therefore confidently say that he always has a studied recommendation as to what to do, but listens to alternatives and explains to the customer the pros-and-cons of each. He is NOT pushy, and is willing and able to install what the customer asks for (if that customer happens to do research and picks a reasonable option.) Because his work is so top-notch and his is so customer-focused, I highly recommend him and will use his services again - though I doubt that will be to re-do anything he has installed, but rather for other items and things that just wear-out normally. Please DO contact him! You will not be disappointed!

I needed a plumbing spout replaced as it was not diverting water to the shower head reliably and was also loose in the wall. I called Chris and he gave me a reasonable estimate over the phone, significantly cheaper than two other plumbers I called from Angie's List. He asked me to send him an email so he could follow up with me about scheduling a date to come out to perform the repair. I did have to follow up with him twice, but we managed to set a date. On that date, Bob (one of his employees) came out to the house. Bob was very courteous and friendly. He evaluated what needed to be done and told me of a couple of options he could do to make the repair. As this was a rental house I manage, I did not want to spend a lot of money, but also wanted a repair that would last. We decided on a plan of action, and as I had to get back to work, Bob made the repairs while I was away. Everything went well. I will certainly be contacting Chris for my future plumbing needs.

My water heater broke in my attic and cause damage throughout the house. CK's plumbing was recommended by a very reliable source to install a new water heater. Although it was the day before Thanksgiving, CK's plumbing was very responsive and provided a very competitive price (we quoted with 3 companies total). They were very knowledgeable and informative. CK's plumbing installed a tank-less water heater on the outside of our house so there is no need to worry about any future issues in the attic. Our neighbor was so impressed that he had one installed the following week. Great company, great people, great service! I highly recommend CK's plumbing over a larger plumbing company. The owner was onsite for the estimate and service.

Excellent. Chris explained everything in detail on the first visit. He needed a different model since my home was built on a slab. I had been told that the tilted lid and seat could not be corrected but he explained everything to me and recommended the model he installed. Price for the work was given prior to the next visit. Everything was seamless! Very satisfied with the work and the toilet Chris recommended.

I recently submitted a report on Chris singing his praises. This past Monday water started forming on my kitchen floor and kept gathering. I am totally inept and challenged re: manual stuff and had no idea what to do. It was 9:45 pm and I was in a panic. I called Chris and he was at my house in about 30 min. He found the trouble to water coming from the refrigerator, shut off the water and took a look and suggested it might just be the water filter. He suggested that I change this before calling a repair man. I have not had a chance to check that out yet but the crisis is over. What is unbelievable is that he did not charge me. Amazing!!! I thought this deserved another note. If I have a problem in the future I hope it is a plumbing problem but would prefer no problem at all. Denis

Very quick, although I was not in a hurry. Called Thursday, work completed Monday morning.

Our Master Bath shower stall has two shower heads, one fixed, one on a hose. The pipe that feeds the one on the hose broke off inside the wall. Luckily, my wife spotted the water seeping before the pipe actually broke. When I went to check it, it broke off in my hand. The good news is we had no water inside the wall. Our heating/AC guy reccommended Chris, we checked him out on Angies List and gave him a call on Monday. We scheduled a visit for Friday and he showed up on time. I had emailed him a description and photo of the problem, he had the correct tools in his pocket when he arrived and was done in 15 minutes. He took a few minutes to talk with my Dad and wish him a happy Veteran's Day and to thank him for his service in WWII. I also had him look in crawl space to make a reccommendation for a whole house filter which he did. We will probably be calling him back soon for that job.

On Sunday evening at approximately 6pm I discovered that I had no hot water and that my water heater was severely leaking. I went onto Angie's List and picked CK Plumbing to call. Chris stated he was getting ready to go to dinner with his family but would come by to shut off the water heater and give me an estimate. He was at my house no later than 7:30 p.m. He came back early afternoon on Monday and installed a tankless water heater for me. Chris did a great job and was very helpful in getting the permit, the heater registered, and filling out the paperwork for me to get a credit with PSNC for changing to a tankless water heater. The inspector came out today and everything looked great. I cannot say enough of how pleased I am. Would absolutely use his services in the future and have no reservations in highly recommending this business.

I called Chris and there was a snafu in him getting back to me. When I got back to him he was extremely professional and polite and more than made this snafu better. He was very punctual and considerate and worked very efficiently. He immediately diagnosed the problem, provided an estimate and did the work. He always and fully informed me about anything that might go wrong and was pleasant and conversational while not wasting time. The only complaint (ha) I would have is that he worked so efficiently that I had to go back to work after thinking it would kill my whole afternoon. It was so nice to get him there, get the work done and be done with it rather than the laborious look around write up an estimate and set up a time to do the work. It was a real pleasure, couldn't be happier and as I said above, he is on my speed-dial. Thanks Chris.

Chris met my tenant and completed the work in a very short time. When he finished, he sent me an invoice that matched his estimate and I mailed him my check asap.

Chris rerouted the sewage pipe in our basement so we could finish the basement ceiling. He put a lot of effort and thought into making sure it was feasible before beginning the project. He came up with an ingenious solution that was even better than we expected. We were very impressed with the quality of the finished product. He also was able to coordinate with our electrician to move the vent pipe for the basement sink so the electrician could install our bathroom light fixtures. We were very impressed with Chris’s expertise and professionalism.

Chris was on time --did a great job changing out the faucet and disposal. The work was done quickly and done very well. He cleaned up the area after finishing the work and took out the trash!! Yes, we would definately use him again. It's great to have good water pressure again, yea!!! use again. It's great having water pressure in our sink again, yaa!

He was quick and responsive and the price was fair.

We received a call from out tenants in the evening explaining that the water heater was leaking. We called another company on Angie's list who were unable to respond and recommended CK's. We called and they told us they would head out that evening. They had it fixed in no time and emailed us the invoice. They wer very prompt and I would definitely use them again.

One Saturday afternoon, we noticed water dripping from our second story into our living room. I realized that our water heater was leaking through the ceiling. I called the only plumber that I had used before, only to find that they had gone out of business. I rushed to Angie's List and after a quick scan found CKS Plumbing & Backflow. I placed a panicked call to CKS and told him that we had water leaking from our water heart on the second story. I didn't know what to expect -- it was an emergency and I had to trust a stranger to come to my aid. We were blessed to find Chris! he was literally there in 10 minutes. He turned off the main water supply and got right to work draining the old tank. He confirmed what we already knew -- our specific tank was an Apollo unit which was somewhat rare and expensive to replace. We had to keep the same brand for our replacement because our home's heat depends on the water heater. Chris placed a call to his supplier. They had one of the units we needed in stock, but would be unable to deliver it that evening due to their driver being unavailable. Chris went the extra mile -- he went and picked up the tank himself late that evening and came back on Sunday to install it! He gave us no problems honoring the 5% discount to Angie's List members that he had advertised at the time and worked with us to get the payment together. The old heater did not have an expansion tank or mixing valve, which are now required by law. So he installed a new expansion tank & valve system, along with all of the lines and fittings necessary. Before he left, he pointed out that one of the fittings was dripping a bit. He explained that it was not unusual for that type of drip to occur for the first few hours until the sealant had set. He told us to call if the drip continued. Unfortunately, the drip did not seal itself as expected. I called Chris to let him know. He came right over and cut out the fitting and replaced it with a brand new line and joint without any trouble at all. The fitting and the new unit has not given us a problem since. Our former unit was probably as old as the house (15-17 years). It?s amazing that we can now turn on the hot water and not have a hint of yellow in our water. Our monthly gas bill went from $25 average to $15 average. I look forward to see what kind of savings we will have in the winter when our central heat is run from our new water heater. Before this happened, I knew that our water heater was near the end of its life... it was just a matter of when, how much, and who to fix it. It was something that I dreaded. But Chris and his very fair pricing made it much easier. Chris made sure not to track any dirt onto our carpet and he cleaned everything up before he left. He took the time to show us how to set the temperature on the new unit and how to use the mixing valve if we needed it during the winter months when we would be sharing the water heater with our central heat system. CKS Plumbing is definitely our new "go-to" plumbing guy.

Chris was on time worked, efficiently and cleanly. I felt very comfortable that he was knowledgable and had my best interest at heart without any up-charges. He was also several hundred dollars cheaper on his bid. He stated that he has never charged more than his original bid to any of his customers.

The water lines in our house were originally plumbed with polybutylene (AKA Quest) pipe, which has wreaked havoc on millions of homes across America that was built with the stuff. There was even a class-action settlement regarding this malfunctioning pipe that unfortunately was closed three years ago. Boy, I wish we could've been part of that settlement, because our Quest polybutylene pipe recently burst and leaked inside a wall in our first floor half-bathroom. It leaked, undetected, for what appeared to be weeks to months, and caused extensive mold in the walls and surrounding subflooring. It was a mess, and our insurance company is helping us put the pieces back together. While that part of our house is basically ripped to the studs, we decided it was time to remove this cursed pipe to prevent it eventually happening again. We'd used CK's Plumbing and Backflow to actually fix the initial leak that led to all this damage. He was so professional, patient, and thorough that we thought he'd do the same to a larger project. Chris and his colleague showed up promptly at the time we agreed upon and they set to work. They warned that a repipe could take up to two days to perform, so we were prepared to stick it out. Chris and his colleague were so experienced and efficient that they performed it before my normal workday is through! He showed me everywhere he installed, showed me the spots where he used his creativity to run the pipe through some tight spots, and pointed out the new emergency shutoff valve and pressure reducing valve. A few days later, Chris came back to run through what we needed to show the town inspector, who came shortly after and complimented the pipe work. Our home passed the inspection with flying colors, no problem! Our water flows so smoothly and we feel safe in never having a problem with water leaks and the property damage that comes with it! We can't recommend CK's Plumbing enough!

Chris did an excellent job overall and completed the job quickly. We were very pleased with everything he did.

Chris was AWESOME. He couldn't help me (it was HVAC, not plumbing), didn't charge me, and told me if I need a clean up company to let hi know.I will definitely call him again!

He first gave me an estimate which was the lowest one I received. He came and did the work when promised . Was very efficient. I emailed with a question afer the work had been finished and paid for. He was very prompt in getting back to me with the answer. He would be the one I would call if I needed more work done.

Confirmed a leak at 10pm by Town of Cary about a leak in my water line coming in from the street. Sent a email via Angie's List requesting a quote and call to repair leak. They called by 9am the next morning and stated they would be out around 2:30 pm. They called at 2pm and said they would be there within 30 minutes.Chris the Owner arrived reviewed the problem and gave me two options for fixing the problem. Find the leak and make a repair ($150) or replace the entire line ($700). It was decided to first locate the leak and he agreed that it was probably the wettest area near the meter the actual location was only a foot off the first dig. He determined it right away. Another plumber told me they would have to dig up the entire line and charge me $1,500 and a third plumber said they would need to have the leak located for $385 and then they would give me a price. The range of costs to do a simple job is crazy Provided costs and suggestions on repairs, was able to make repairs at that time and complete the work, including fixing a previous repair to the water line that was done incorrectly. Checked for leaks, cleaned up area, and charged exactly the price estimated prior to starting service. Price an service was fair and honest. Provided great service, followed up with email request, called prior to appt time, showed up on time, and was able to complete work as promised.

I was very impressed with CK’s professionalism and integrity. CK gave us great advice on selecting new plumbing fixtures and how to prevent future pipe bursts. I was worried the new faucet I had chosen would have a different footprint than the old faucet, but CK without being asked cleaned up the footprint from the previous faucet so that the sink looked great with a new faucet and new caulk. CK did a very neat and efficient job.

We had been thinking about getting this done at a rental property we manage (one we previously owned), knowing that the water heater was old - so I had already searched Angiel's List for someone to do it. Before we couild get it done, a new tenant moved in, and sure enough, the water heater needed immediate attention. I called CKs Plumbing because their rating was so good on Angie's List, and the company owner responded immediately, replacing the water heater that day at a very reasonable rate! Mr. Kousis was extremely pleasant to work with and we will definitely utilize his services in the future.
