We called CK Plumbing and scheduled an appointment to have our water heater looked at. The problem was that everytime we turned the faucet to hot water, there would be not water coming out. When we turned the faucet back to cold water, everything was fine. Chris came promptly at the appointment time and was nice and courteous. He diagnosed the problem and had everything repaired in less than an hour. I would recommend CK plumbing to anyone who needs a plumber.

I would use them again in the future.

Great experience. Asked for a quote and he came out and took a look (I was not in a hurry as my water heater was working but was old and was needing to be replaced). He even stated he was not going to be able to get to me right away and since I was in no hurry, that was fine. I would rather know up front than for someone to make a promise and not deliver. Took about 1 1/2 weeks for the quote and we scheduled the work shortly thereafter. Arrived on time and did the work without any fuss. Great experience and I would definitely recommend!

They came out and fixed the leak. It was very nice guy that came out. We called him and he was out the next day. He is an extremely nice and personable person. He did exactly what we asked him. He offered to do a larger job for us. We turned him down because it was Christmas Eve.

I originally asked Chris to stop by for an estimate on a broken pipe in our backyard. He came out the same day and told me that it was not a main and he didn't think it was sewer because the pipes for those are in the front yard. He asked if I had any other items and I mentioned how our backflow froze over the winter and our shut off valve handle was broken off as well as a leaky shower valve. He looked at all 3 and said he could do it for a flat fee. He was going to do it at that time, but he had to get to a store that closed at 2:30 so I told him this could wait for 2 days. When he arrived the scheduled day he first fixed the shower valve and replaced it with a new nickel finish. He then had to dig a hole in the front yard for a new shut off valve to be install and then replaced the backflow with one I purchased on eBay. Once the water was turned back on we noticed the "new" backflow was leaking water (so much for trying to save some $ on eBay). All I could think of was how much extra this was going to cost me. He then mentioned how he had several damaged backflows that had been busted but the plastic piece inside them was still good. Luckily, he had one on hand and sure enough that was what the problem was. He said that he wouldn't charge me for that one! Chris is very personable and helpful and even showed me how to winterize my system for next year. He is an honest working family man and I will definitely be calling him and his company for any future problems A++ Workmanship!

I called 10 plumbers on Saturday morning to inquire as to whether or not someone could stop by over the weekend to take a quick look at my garage to tell us whether or not we have the necessary connections to install a washtub. Chris was one of only two willing to come by to perform the estimate over the weekend. Chris showed up on time and went above and beyond what I would have expected a plumber to be willing to do to determine whether or not we could install the sink where we wanted. When we couldn't determine the exact location of the drain lines, I offered to open up a section of the wall with a drywall handsaw. Chris told me not to bother and grabbed a battery powered sawzall from his truck and took to it himself. I offered to pay him for his time but he wouldn't have it. He stated that he was happy to help us figure out what our options are. Ultimately we determined that there was not a good way to hook up the sink where we wanted it to be, but Chris walked me through our options and was straight with me regarding what would and would not make sense. Although I did not end up hiring Chris, I will definitely call him back when we have future plumbing work which requires a professional. The good companies are honest with their customers and go out of their way to make sure that they have a good experience. CK's did both.

He was excellent and the overall experience was excellent as well.

One commode cleared. Recommedation given to change out commodes to low volume flush. Estimate given to replace all. We have had other plumbers come to address similar problems but none others have given a remedy that would fix the problem permanently.

I had a garbage disposal that was toast and Chris came in let me know what my options were and also gave me quotes on each one. I chose to replace with regular piping and he knocked it out in no time. He also took care of a running toilet I had even though I had not initially reported that problem. He did solid work, was extremely efficient, explained everything as he went, and I will absolutely use him again.

Provider was quite busy and unclear about when they would arrive, but they arrived promptly and finished work quickly. They didn't provide needed inspection papers before the inspector arrived, but on calling them they cleared the problems with the inspector and provided those papers.

I found CK's Plumbing on Angies List initially and contacted Chris to address a leaking backflow valve in my irrigation system. He showed up the next day and rather than replace the valve (expensive!), he pulled it apart, removed some debris, and resolved the leak. This was a modest service charge compared to an expensive valve replacement that I expected. Based on that experience, I had Chris bid on a much more complex job involving plumbing a new natural gas line into my home and replacing two hot water heaters with a new tankless hot water heater. He was very competitive on his pricing and actually offered a superior technical solution. Installation went as scheduled, inspections received same day, and new service switched over on time. Afterwards, I used Chris once more to run a new gas line to my screened porch to fuel two patio heaters. Chris does great work, is price competitive, and very responsive. As you can see, he is my "go to guy" for all my plumbing needs. I highly recommend him.

Our home was on the market for sale and under contract when our gas water heater bit the dust. We were living in our new location and after getting this information we first called our home warranty program who sent out another company to confirm that the water heater was leaking. The height of the new water heater needed for the original location is no longer manufactured and we needed an alternative. The "other" company's rep told me that we could replace the gas water heater with an electric model in the same space or put in a tankless on the outside of the home. The "other" company estimated that a tankless would be about $3700. I was somewhat shocked as I had done some research in the past and that seemed a tad high. I asked this company to provide me with estimates for both options and never heard from them again. I turned to Angie's list and found the wonderful Chris at CK's plumbing. Please remember that I was doing all of this over the phone because we were out of town. Chris went out to the home and gave me options and prices for both electric and tankless water heaters. He also informed us of the rebates available from Rinnai and the gas company and also of the tax credits that we could receive for the tankless. His quote was firm, he did the work quickly and all permits/inspections completed. Again, we had only talked on the phone and the whole thing was completed in 4 days after our first conversation. I could have mailed him a check but he happened to come by to take care of something else for us while we were in town for some packing. I would not hesitate to use this company if I was still in the Raleigh area!

On Saturday afternoon, my husband entered the walk-in crawl space under our home and noticed a dripping sound. Sure enough, he found water running down from the house along a hot water line. After reading the through reviews, we called CK's Plumbing, and spoke with Chris Kousis. Chris told us he was on another job, but would come by later that evening, or first thing on Sunday. He called less that 3 hours later, and said he could come right away. As soon as Chris saw the location of the water line, he knew the most likely cause was a nail puncture that occured during the installation of the wainscotting in the dining room. (Apparently, this is not uncommon and it takes several years for the nail to rust enough for the water to escape the line.) He opened a total of three small holes in the drywall, located the leak and completed a quick and professional repair. Chris was knowlegeable, professional and pleasant. We thought his rates were reasonable (especially for an emergency call on a weekend), and we were very pleased with the service we received. We will not hesitate to call Chris again, or recommend him to others.

I used them in response to the special offer where Angie's send out and email where people give discounts to try their services. It seemed to have worked out well. He provided what was offered. He was efficient and thorough. He was very helpful in terms of making me understand any issues I had and what the possible corrections would be.

Chris was prompt and professional. He showed consideration by putting on she covers before coming into the house. He kept us informed of what he was doing (turning off the water, etc.), finished the job in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself. He communicated well and was very professional.

After several water leaks, I was advised I needed to replace all of the Quest pipe in my two-story townhouse. I called CK's Plumbing for an estimate. He came out later that day, at the time agreed and gave me a quote that was over $1000 less than the quote I rec'd from another contractor. He was polite and professional and explained what the job would entail, where the sheetrock would be cut, etc. We scheduled a date for him to do the job a few weeks later. He showed up on time, finished the job that day and it passed inspection the following day. I had gone out of town while the work was being done, and came back to find my house was left neat and the sheetrock cuts were as expected. I couldn't be happier, especially considering he charged significantly less than the other plumbing contractor I had spoken with.

CK was able to come over the day I called and inspect a leaky shower faucet that had been plaguing me for quite some time. He gave me two options, either to try and fix the old faucet or replace it. I had been advised by a friend that replacing it would be the best solution and he agreed. They did an initial inspection of the piping behind the bathtub to insure they would be able to work on it, and after confirming that they could they gave me a ver fair price for replacing the old faucet. The install happened the next day, a worker showed up right on time and walked me through exactly what he would have to do and the work involved. He finished in a timely manner and cleaned up. I am very impressed with this company, the employees are friendly, and the finished work looks great. I can't believe how much better my shower looks now with such a small change! Thanks guys!

It was an excellent experience. Chris came out the afternoon I called and determined that a replacement was the solution I needed. He quoted me 950.00 for the work. He returned the next day with two other workers at the hour he predicted. They took great care to minimize the mess in the house and finished the work quickly. Chris showed me how to work the new equipment, honored the $50 discount for Angie's List customers and left.

Super job overall. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
