How excited can you get about having to replace a water heater? It's pretty tough cause they usually go out when you least expect it, but CK's Plumbing made it as positive of an experience as it could be. Had a water heater that developed a large leak and partially emptied out onto my garage floor. I called CK's Plumbing at the advice of a friend and Chris said he was very busy, but could be out the very next morning! He removed the leaking water heater and installed a shiny new tankless model that has since paid for itself. Chris was punctual, friendly and worked fast to restore hot water to our home. Lucky for us, we only had to go one night without hot water, but it's one of those things you just expect to always be there until it's not. *I do want to add that this review is long overdue....Chris performed this work around Oct. of 2011, so I'm sorry for the late review Chris!!! If you need plumbing assistance and you are in the area, CK's Plumbing is the company you want to call. I have referred several friends to them and will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

They were fine. He was very nice. He came and did the job that he promised. I do not have anything negative to say. I would consider using them again if I needed it. We are moving into a brand new house and we were a little farther away for him. He was really nice about.

Chris was great when he came over and walked through everything, and made some recommendations on faucets for the kitchen. He is very busy, so I didn't get the greatest responsiveness from him, but that's why he has such great reviews b/c he does great work and it's hard to find a good plumbing company. Although I felt like price for installing a faucet I bought was a little high, his guys who came to do the work were great and they did a really nice job. I didn't get my 10% off for being an Angie's List member, but I was happy to pay good money to a good company. You get what you pay for and CK is worth every penny.

Chris and his colleage were great -- responsive to my inital call, able to meet on my schedule, arrived the day of service on time, and demonstrated professionalism and knowledge throughout. They thoroughly assessed the situation, gave me clear picture of what's going on (shower pan leak resulting in structural damage), referred to me a company to work with on repair, and charged a very fair price. I will definitely call CK's Plumbing again.

I was very impressed with this company. They immediately got me scheduled and provided great customer service. I just recommended them to another friend and will continue to recommend them to others.

Chris came with in 2 days for estimate Two plumbers arrived on time the next day, removed and installed a new water heater in about 2 hours ,explained the workings of the heater and left the work site clean.

I called Chris on a Saturday evening when a pipe in our bathroom broke and sprayed water over the wooden floor. My wife had accidentally knocked the toilet tank cover off the tank while trying to repair it, and when the tank cover fell, it hit and cracked the water pipe where the pipe comes out of the wall. It was an hour before she noticed that the pipe had cracked and was leaking. Chris worked us into his Saturday night schedule and was at our home within two hours, as promised. He fixed it quickly. Even more important, he was able to give us valuable advice about the likely damage to the wooden floor, based on what he has seen in many similar situations. He told us how to work with a water damage repair company and with our insurance company to get it restored, and what the likely repair scenarios were. He was articulate and he was genuinely concerned about us. He was very respectful of our house, putting on shoe covers each time he entered the house even though we said it wasn't needed. We had expected some sort of large surcharge because he came on an emergency basis on a Saturday night, but the total cost of the visit, including parts, was only $140 (after the $10 Angie's list discount.) I can enthusiastically recommend him!

he checked all of the water lines and did a fabulous job. however, i hired him to flush my water heater but the heater had a faulty valve and he was unable to flush it. this was not the plumbers fault.

Chris arrived on time and checked all facets and bathrooms for leaks. He took time to answer all my questions and also showed me how to drain my water heater. I asked him to replace 2 defective flappers during his visit. This review is long overdue and I've since called CKs back to my home to to service my water heater to replace a defective overflow tank and the water main valve. Chris and his associates are very professional and get the job done and would recommend it to other AL members.

Chris replaced an old leaking water heater located up in the attic. He responded back to my initial calls in a timely manner. He put forth extra effort to work me into his schedule since the unit was leaking and could have made a real mess. He was punctual, hard working, professional and cleaned up after the job was completed. His pricing appears fair. I appreciate his "Angie's List" participation and discounts, I will definitely call him again if the need arises.

We purchased Angie's list "Big Deal" Discount, $59.00 for whole house plumbing inspection and water heater flush. We contacted CK Plumbing to make the appointment. We received an immediate response. Chris came out to perform the work. He gave us advice on how to care for the water heater. We also inquired about a water filtering system. Chris took a sample of our water, advised what would work for us and provided an estimate. We will get the water system in the future. Chris did an excellent job. He was very pleasant and professional. We will use CK Plumbing again.

I called CK Plumbing on a Monday morning after the hot heater had broken over the weekend. Initially he said he would not be able to come on Monday but could make it Tuesday. However he called back later and said he would be in the area and be glad to come by even though it was going to be after 5 PM. He called ahead of time to say he was coming. He diagnosed the issue very quickly, replaced the expansion tank, pressure relief valve and also the water pressure for the house which was too high and caused the initial problem. He was professional, very efficient and even interacted with my young children who were playing in the yard. Overall it was an excellent experience and the work was top notch. I highly recommend using this company for your plumbing needs.

CK's plumbing did a fantastic job, despite some unforeseen complications. Based on AL reviews, we decided to give Chris a call and he was able to set up an install about 2 weeks later (we were replacing a functional 50 gallon heater w/ a tankless, so we weren't in a rush.) One of Chris' guys came down to check everything out, Chris then came by the day before the install to insure everything looked good, and then everyone showed up on time on Monday. Unfortunately, the layout of our home ended up making it impossible to install the tankless gas line without tearing up our basement ceilings. My husband was more worried about efficiency then having endless hot water, so he and Chris thought the 80 gallon electric hybrid would be a great option. I agreed, but then started to have second thoughts about 2 hours later. Chris was off-site having lunch and, after I called explaining my hesitation on the 80 gallon hybrid, he came back by less than 30 minutes later to explain every possible solution to our gas line problem. I finally decided to go ahead with the hybrid and felt confident in Chris' recommendation. Despite all of the setbacks, including the small one I created that afternoon, Chris and his guys were still able to install the 80 gallon hybrid that afternoon and all was well. We are now able to fill a spa tub and run the sink and dishwasher at the same time- I couldn't be happier with the product and the service.

The plumber very quickly determined that the leak was from the acrylic towel bar not being sealed. I'm convinced that a less experienced plumber would have missed this. It was an excellent catch. I highly recommend CK Plumbing.

It was a very good experience. They were able to come look at the job and complete it the same day. I didn't do any research on pricing, but i think their pricing was competitive.

Replacement repair went very smoothly and quickly; CK was able to diagnose the problem based on description given over the phone...intermittent zero water pressure that could be corrected by jarring the pressure switch at the bladder tank. Apparently, this is a common problem. CK was able to bring parts needed for a quick replacement.

did considerable research before hiring CK's plumbing. Had a straightforward, direct replacement job. Sought 4 quotes as the job was 'standard.' CK's plumbing was the best price *and* had an excellent rating (surprisingly, there was a $500 range from lowest to highest for the exact same job. Only called highly rated Angie's List providers). He also had a $50 water heater coupon which I appreciated. Homeowners may want to confirm that quoted price is same whether using credit card or check. When I went to pay with cc (use for trave points!), tech asked if Chris mentioned a 3% charge to use it. I said he had not, nor is there any notation on their website that prices quoted are for check/cash payment. He tried to reach owner but, when line was busy, just used the credit card. Not a big deal or adversarial exchange at all. Just might want to confirm. Arranged services with owner, Chris. Technician did actual replacement then Chris came out, while tech was working, to make sure all was well. Trouble-free. Clean. Had Chris/owner follow-up as there was a question about water pressure being ok after replacement. Evaluated. All fine but offered no charge solution to toilets 'double flushing' since the replacement. Will definitely have them come back for plumbing needs.

Friendly and responsive. Didn't try to sell me other services. Overheard explanations to others waiting in the waiting room - seem honest and reasonable. I will try them for more extensive work when needed.

Excellent service. Punctual. Professional. He was in & out w/in 90 minutes--would have been sooner if I hadn't asked questions. He took the time to explain the fix and provided options for further improvement--in a no-pressure, non-salesy, free-estimate way. Will not hesitate to re-hire as time/budget allow. THUMBS UP.

The initial contact was a meeting to discuss what we wanted done and what was the best way to do it. Chris was very professional and gave informative and honest suggestions on how to approach the solution to our problems. He did not try to manipulate the discussion to have us do more than what was needed. A date was scheduled. On the day scheduled, Chris and his associate arrived on time and quickly went about getting the job done. They were careful to not soil our floors and were concerned about not chipping paint or breaking items. They suggested that we remove items that might get damaged if left in place since they would be bringing the new water heater up three flights of stairs around sharp turns. Chris explained what he was doing at each step in the process so we would feel comfortable that we were getting what was agreed to. While they were here, I remembered a problem I was having with the drain in my bathroom sink and he made an adjustment for me at not additional cost. Chris gave us suggestions on how to maintain the new equipment that was installed to obtain the most efficiency in the future. His price was significantly better than an estimate I got from another plumber. He also gave a significant discount for getting all the work done at the same time. We were extremely satisfied with his work and would use him again and recommend him to others.

Chris responded in a timely fashion to my initial inquiry, and was prompt for our initial meeting. Bob was prompt and courteous upon arrival for the installation, and took a few minutes to answer a couple of questions, too. I'm very happy with this transaction and have put the phone number for CK's Plumbing on my fridge as "my plumber." I'd be happy to recommend them.
