I called them out for a leak in my yard. They were able to come out the next day but I asked for 2 days later with my work schedule. They were right on time, dug up my leak and while one went to the store to get the fittings, the other fixed my toilet, drain and faucet. Both were very professional, capable and polite. I had also seen an insert in my Duke Progress bill about a rebate on a heat pump hot water heater. Bob was able to tell me about it and was honest about it's cost/payback time.

I'm almost afraid to post a review for CK, otherwise Chris'll get too many customers and he'll be hard to get.... Cary Plumbing used to do all my plumbing, but since James quit running the company (apparantly, it seems), they went from great-plumber to plumber-from-h***. Last episode with Cary Plumbing they refused to refund me the $65 fee for giving an estimate for connecting the gas line under my oven to my oven. The gas line had been laid already and the extra 10' or so was curled up directly under the kitchen where the oven was in. The guy they sent out said there was no gas line, even though I told him exactly where it was, etc. So when my water tank started leaking this spring, I had Schwartz come out. and replace it with a smaller unit. They charged me a good amount, but they were cheaper than Stroup, who charges an arm and a leg. This brings me up to the summer when I sprung a leak in my water main. Schwartz came out and gave me an estimate for $2300, and said that, according to code, I had to have a 2nd water shutoff valve installed near my crawl space entrance, which is on the other end of the house from where the water main gets run in. I explained to the guy from Schwartz that I had a shutoff valve installed when my house was replumbed, and was he absolutely sure that I had to have a 2nd? He said yes. I didn't want to run a water line across the house and back again just to add a 2nd shutoff valve that I didn't want or need in the first place--and pay an extra $800 for it! Now the "CK" in "CK Plumbing" is Chris Kousis. Unlike a lot of other companies, where the owner sits at a desk and doesn't make house calls, and sends out one of his "technicians"--some are good, some aren't--Chris came out himself and supervised the project from start to finish. He told me I didn't need the 2nd shutoff valve (btw, this job has passed inspection already). Anyways, Chris painted marks where the trench was to be dug, and after the 811 guys came out and marked all the utility lines, Chis sent out a subcontractor who has a trench digging machine to come out and dig the trench. This subcontractor (who I don't think CK will hire anymore) didn't dig the trench deep enough, so 3 CK trucks full of guys came over ASAP and redug the trench by hand, so the project got done in a timely manner.

Our water heater started leaking - 10+ years old, ready to be replaced. We were getting ready to go out of town, and our regular plumber was unable to get to us on such short notice. They recommended CK, and they were able to get out that day. Price was reasonable and the two guys that came out were knowledgeable and friendly. They were out within 2 hours of my calling and finished with the work another hour and a half later. Highly recommend and will use them again in the future, if required for additional plumbing needs. Not sure why the home build year is showing up as 1968 - this house was built in 2001. Thanks!

The hot water heater at my townhouse started leaking badly over the weekend. I shut off the water and started calling around Monday morning to find someone to replace the 15 year old unit. After getting estimates from three or four places, I settled on using CK's plumbing because they offered the service for the lowest price and these guys went out of their way to get it installed that Monday afternoon. They did a great job! No complaints here.

It turned out we didn't have a stopped kitchen sink drain after all, but we didn't realize it until C.K. arrived. He had made a special effort to come and did so within two hours of my call. We offered to pay for his time but he refused. He was very good humored and more than generous. We'll use him for sure the next time we have an actual plumbing problem. Note to C.K. I was positive I had left the review the same day you were here, but Angie's List says differently Many apologies.

Bob and his son showed up Monday afternoon after calling me on the phone ahead of time to be able to meet them home. Within less than 2 hours they installed a new natural gas water heater with new piping and venting. I removed the old heater the day before. They were very friendly, very efficient and did a great job. They took their time, double-checking the water pipes for leaks. They advised me on the new heater functions and maintenance. They left the area completely clean and all went back to normal. I had hot water again.

On time. Extremely professional. Thorough in work performed.

This was a second opinion. The first contractor wanted over $300 to fix the tank.

I called them at 11:00 because I found out I didn't have any hot water and they called me within an hour. Chris said that he had some bad news because he was going to be out of town and would not be able to get to my house until Tuesday. We then started talking and he asked if the hot water heater was in the attic and I told him that it was under the house. I told him that it was probably 5 or 6 years old and he asked me if I had an email address. I said that I did and he told me to send him an email with my address so he could get someone out. He came out himself 20 minutes later, which was awesome. He got under the house which fortunately wasn't too far from the door and told me that it was a fairly new hot water heat, but he had to take off a cover on it. For some reason it just shutoff by itself, so he reset it and put the thing back on it. He didn't charge me for coming out. He's getting ready to go for the week and this was a holiday weekend. He's super.

I called looking for a plumber on a Saturday to fix the "whole house" value which broke (in the off state). The person who answered the phone was extremely curtious and helpful. I stated my problem and he apologized that he had one employee out sick and he was at the beach for the weekend and therefore unable to assist. He did however give me an estimate which allowed me to confirm that the quote I had received from another plumber was in-line with the expected rate. While I did not have any work done by CK, I will keep them in mind for any future issues.

The two Bob's showed up Monday afternoon, assessed the environment and went to work. Within 2 hours they had removed the old heater and stand, piping, venting and installed a new natural gas water heater with new piping and venting. The guys were very friendly, very efficient and did a great job. I liked the fact that they didn't immediately try to get out to "get to the next job", but rather took their time, double-checking the water pipes for leaks (and they found one and fixed it) and painstakingly insulated all the pipes they installed. They explained how to relight the pilot, if needed; what to do if there was a trouble-code, and how to flush the system each year to keep it running well. When they left, the area was completely clean and all of the old equipment went with them. My wife's screams later than afternoon were screams of joy as she enjoyed her hot shower. My Facebook posting summed it all up.... Seldom has a life event touched me so warmly as what occurred today.... Welcome back, hot water.... Welcome back.

Very professional, easy to work with, did a great job. I couldn't ask for anything else! Will use them in the future.

Chris is first-rate, and very honest. He will always be my plumber of choice!

First, my thanks to Angie's List, which made it easy to find a reliable plumber, and boy did I ever find a good one! My water heater died, and I did not discover the problem until late on a Friday. I called CK's Plumbing on Saturday, and Chris--the owner--answered the call. He was at the beach, but he quoted me a good price, said he could install a new one on Monday, and promised to be in touch with me Sunday night when he returned. He did just that. On Monday he contacted me again and gave me a time to expect the crew at my house. Two of his employees--Bob, and Bob's assistant also named Bob (my name is Bob, too, by the way)--arrived on time, went straight to work, and finished in several hours. The heater itself was top quality, the installation was spotlessly clean and smooth, and the Bob's were as courteous as anyone could be. The bill was exactly what Chris had quoted me. Thanks to Angie's List and a $150 coupon, I received a discount on what was already a fair price. Even without the coupon, CK's Plumbing performed this work for about $500 less than one big company in Raleigh quoted me. What does that tell you? The quality of the work , the courtesy, and the price all combined to leave me feeling good about having to buy a new water heater! If CK's Plumbing can leave me with that feeling after a major expense, you know they must be very, very good. I've found a plumber who will be the only one I call when needed from now on. You can't go wrong with this guy and the people he has working for him!

The company was great. They were right on time and everything went according to plan.

Chris set up an appointment for two days later. We reconfirmed the appointment the night before. His guys arrived on time, did a very conscientious job of removing and cleaning the area prior to installation. They finished quickly, offered to remove all the packaging material and the old sink. The price for the installation and the new disposer was less than Lowe's would have charged for just the sink installation. Great service and great pricing.

I tried CK's based on the good reviews on Angie's List, and I was not disappointed. Bob arrived on schedule and did a great job. He found the leak to be in a different bathroom upstairs than I had thought it was and repaired it in a timely manner. I was very pleased with the work and will be contacting them again to do some more work. Rates were in line and I even saved a little with a coupon.

They were very friendly and answered all of our questions. We watched them perform most of the work. The plumbing inspector from Cary mentioned that he thought Chris did very good work. They cleaned everything up after filling in the yard.

Yup, they replaced the Water heater - Quick turnaround at a competitive price.

I called CK Plumbing at about 7am and he indicated that he could come by around 9 am, I didn't get home from work until 9:40am and left a message that I am now home, he was there within 10 minutes of my message. The expansion chamber above the hot water heater had corroded through causing the leak. He turned off the water to the house, replaced the expansion chamber and reinstalled the insulation. The whole process took about 30 minutes, it did help that I moved everything out of the way and had a step ladder in place for him to work. He was very professional, worked efficiently and got the job done.

Everything went very well. He was very professional and he scheduled me right away. He got it done without me having to wait, he worked me in. They did just what they were supposed to do and I was very pleased. They were good.

Great. Very prompt getting back to me and scheduling a time to do the installation. Chris originally installed a new shower valve in our master shower two weeks ago. He did a great job with that. When I realized that our 18 year old water heater was acting up I called Chris to come out again. He came out right away and gave me an estimate and said that he could start work two days later. He called me on the day of install and said that he was running behind due to all of the rain and bad storms. Keep in mind that there was flooding all over the area. He asked if he could come first thing the next morning. I told him it was fine. He showed up on time and got right to work. He had the old units out in no time. Whenever he had to come in the house he was careful to cover his shoes so he would not track mud into the house. He brought two more guys with him and they were all very polite and worked really hard to get the job done. Oh, I forgot to say that the day he gave me the estimate I had just received my new shower head. When I asked him to tell me how to make sure it didn't leak, he offered to do it for me at no extra charge. That was a huge help. I can't say enough about Chris and his crew. I highly recommend them if you need any plumbing done the right way.

I have had to deal with multiple companies lately for home improvements and repairs and CK's was by far the most reliable and helpful. Chris came out as soon as he could when I told him the water heater was leaking through the ceiling. He gave me several options and we decided on a tankless outside . I was very nervous about the whole thing as have not had the best of luck with other contractors for different issues. He was pleasant and prompt. He was able to come back out that afternoon with 2 of his employees and complete most of the job. The electrical portion had to be scheduled at a later date due to my family leaving for vacation the following morning. The electrician contacted me without me having to follow through on my own. He was also very pleasant and came exactly when he said that he would. A few weeks earlier my mother used CK's as well for a new water heater and she was quite pleased with his service. I highly recommend CK's for plumbing issues.He will also answer any questions you have after the job is completed which is often not the case with other businesses. Thank you Chris.
