I called and talked to him, told him what I needed an estimate for. We agreed that he would come to my house today, January 18, 2014, at 11am. He never showed up, and didn't call to tell me he wasn't coming, or that he would be late, or anything. No contact of any type.

I called CK's about 10 p.m. on Thursday and Chris K actually answered the phone - they are open till 11 p.m.. He scheduled my appointment saying he was still working up the schedule and it looked tight, but he'd do his best to have someone there on Friday. I called Friday morning and he confirmed that someone would be there early in the afternoon. They were there by 2 and were done in about 30 minutes. I even got a discount because I was an Angie's List member.

Overall, they were great. They were a little slow on responding initially because of the holidays I presume, but otherwise, they quoted the price, stuck to it and performed the work as promised. No complaints really to speak of. I only gave them a "B" on price because I saw no direct comparison to know if the unit I purchased was standard market costs or not. Otherwise, I would recommend them and use them again. BTW...they did honor the Angie's list discount of $50 as well.

I noticed the drain pan under my hot water heater had standing water in it and feared the tank was leaking. I called CK's just after 8:00 this morning and Chris answered (not a voicemail). I explained what was going on and he said he would have someone here today, probably shortly after lunch time. He asked me to email him my address and contact info since he was in his vehicle and said his service person would call me before arriving. I received a call from Bob at 2:00 and he let me know he was just leaving downtown Raleigh and would be here in 30 minutes. He arrived on schedule with a helper, Lorenzo, and took a look at the hot water heater. He explained that the heater was fine, but either the overflow valve or the expansion tank was bad and checked them out. He determined it was the expansion tank and he replaced it on the spot. I also mentioned to him that the toilet in the half bath periodically ran and he explained it was the flapper, which he also replaced on the spot without adding it to the bill. The whole experience was wonderful - they did what they said they were going to do in a professional and friendly manner. They were clean, prompt and fast and didn't try to sell me on an expensive water heater replacement when it wasn't called for. I will definitely use and recommend them in the future.

Communication was excellent. I called on a Sunday and since my case was not an emergency, they came out Wednesday to replace the water heater. The service technician (Bob) was knowledgeable and made a few suggestions concerning how the water softer brine was emptying into our Septic tank. We will be getting that corrected by CK's this year. He answered all questions I had and encouraged me to watch his work to see what he did and ask questions along the way.

I returned home from work to find that my water heater had quit working, right here in the coldest part of the year. I contacted CK Plumbing through Angie's List, and Chris called me immediately (nearly 10 pm). I was very impressed with his responsiveness and his professionalism. We found another plumber who could install the replacement water heater sooner, so we did not choose CK Plumbing this time. However, I was very impressed, and will definitely consider CK Plumbing in the future.

Very responsive. We called late Thursday evening and they showed up at 8:30 the next morning. Very professional job. They cleaned up after the job and hauled away the old water heater. We had originally called Home Depot Thursday morning and they sent out a fellow that was rude and abrasive and insisted that he would need to punch holes in our exterior wall and siding to complete the job and we would have to purchase a new stand for the water heater. We asked him to leave and cancelled our order with Home Depot. We then went online to Angie's List and found CK's Plumbing. CK's was able to use the existing vent hole and did not require a new stand. I will definitely use CK's in the future for any plumbing needs. I highly recommend them.

CK Plumbing was great. Our hot water heater was in the attic and it rusted out causing a leak through the ceiling. We have a home warranty but the plumber they sent out said that they couldn't replace the hot water heater in the attic due to building code. We were suspicious of this and called CK Plumbing for a second opinion. They told us they could replace the water heater in the attic and also offered some other options when we asked about relocating out of the attic. We chose a tankless water heater located outside the house which allows us to keep gas hot water. They told us about all our rebate and tax credit options with this option. They were prompt and made sure that we were able to get hot water as soon as possible using temporary electrical hookup until the electrician was able to make the permanent electrical connection.

These guys were great! My family woke up to a leaking water heater as we were packing to leave for a vacation later that day. I noticed the leak when I was packing up our vehicle early in the morning. I debated whether or not to deal with the water heater that day or wait until we returned from our trip, as I could just shut off the water supply while we were away. I decided to try and see what could be done that morning, just to weigh our options. I found CK's Plumbing on Angie's List and gave them a call. They were helpful on the phone and said they could be over in an hour to knock out the replacement, having it all completed before we left for our trip. I was hesitant at first, just thinking that if anything went wrong, we would have to leave at some point and the work might not be done, but they reassured me that they could knock it out. So we went ahead and had them come out. True to their word, the crew was efficient and did quality work. We had the new water heater in place in time for me to shower up and get the family on our way out of town. We were able to use a coupon offered on Angie's List for the replacement, which made the total out of pocket expense $950. I know this is higher than going to your local home improvement center to buy a water heater and hiring a cheap handyman to do the job, but I have much more faith in service providers who specialize in a particular trade and this experience reinforced that. Very glad I made the decision to hire CK's.

Chris is very easy to work with. He offered me several options for selecting new model of water heater. As the house is my rental home, he provided his own opinions for the selection. The installation is 2~3 hours. The job is well done and clean. The new water heater has been used for more than a year now. It is a pleasure to work with Chris.

I contacted with Chris yesterday. His member showed up on-time today. They did very good job to unclog my kitehen sink with a an electrical snake machine. They are courtesy and professional. At then end, they offered $10 off as I am an Angie's List member.

Chris came to house for estimate. Very fair and competitive. Bob and Bob came and replaced the water heater, expansion tank and installed ball valves. Excellent work and cleaned up afterward. All great folks to deal with. If you need your water heater replaced, definitely call CK's

They came over when I was out and did a preliminary quote. I then called Chris (the owner of CKs plumbing) in the evening and asked a few questions and he gave me his advice and what he'd do if were his home. The thing that moved me to CKs was the lack of pressure and no fixed agenda. The other guy on Angies List was also really competent but he wanted to install one of the newer on-demand water heaters. This meant rerouting the plumbing and a bunch of work in teh crawlspace (which I'm sure he could have done) but I'm not sure I wanted to do this as it seemed to work out cost neutral when I crunched the numbers. Anyway - install went great and they were very professional. Their work was very neat (though I did find two screws on the floor - but that ain't major and I'd have missed them too if I'd not looked really hard). They also informed us on how to maintain the boiler and extend the life, so they are not just into doing expensive installs. Impressed.

They provided excellent quality faucets at a reasonable price. Initially "not able" to move one off the corner beam of the house but were able to come up with an easy solution on 2nd visit. Would have liked to have a door to cover the the hole they put in the laundry room wall for the faucets shut off valve.

I misunderstood the terms of the deal. It wasn't until my husband spoke to Chris that I realized I made a mistake thereby not needing his service.

We were extremely happy with the professionalism, courtesy, and capabilities of the two people from CK's Plumbing & Backflow that found and fixed the problem of a leak from our Master Bath. They were thorough and looked for options before having to cut a whole in the roof of our formal dining room. They quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the part that was causing the leak. They cleaned up afterwards and took time to explain everything along the way. We were very pleased & we will definitely be calling CK's Plumbing again for all of our plumbing needs. I called CK Plumbing & Backflow Monday morning. Chris the owner answered while he was working on something. He said they can do the work the following day Tuesday. He asked me to email him back my info. He responded past 9:30pm and confirmed that they will be at my home at 8am. His associate Bob came in the morning and immediately examined the water leak. He found out that the flexible pipe was hit by a nail when the builder of my house was putting up the drywalls. He explained to me that the builder should have placed a metal casing on places where the pipes are present. Only took him less than 30 minutes to fix the problem. He also offered to clean up even though there wasn't a lot to do. He did a great job! I was lucky It took 5 years for it to leak.

Our water heater sprang a leak on Tuesday and I found CK Plumbing on A's List. Their rating was excellent AND there was a coupon for $150 off (cost of $50) for the hot water installation. I called CK and spoke to the owner several times Tuesday night (had lots of questions). He answered them all very patiently even though it was late (after 8PM). Chris came the next day as promised and completed the install quickly and professionally. We'll be using CK for future plumbing needs.

Replaced washer hook ups and drain pipe as well as repaired upstairs toilets. Bob and Bob were friendly, thorough, and professional.

Chris explained the problem, my options and what he recommended. When I chose to replace our heater, he did it within about 2.5 hours with most of the work done by his assistant. He was thorough, very responsive and communicated very well. I was impressed and would certainly highly recommend his service.

They did the work as described in the deal. We had no trouble scheduling with them. There were no problems with the service. We have not used them again because we have other plumbers.
