I had to plead with another vendor to do job for 850 as he stated AL was to have quoted this price in above ground first floor or garage installation only. Had I known his ad. was incorrect I would have stayed with this company. Lost 1/2 day of my own time speaking to vendors and then shopping for a water heater that was within budget. My complaints are more associated with AL.

Had a great experience with CK's - they came out and got right to work. They replaced our broken old "wheel valve" main shutoff valve with a brand new heavy duty one - they also changed out about 4 leaky faucet shutoff valves that had decided to give out as well as proactively replaced 4 others with 1/4 steel models. They also checked out a leaky tub faucet. Kyle and assistant did good work - they cleaned up the sheet rock debris from installing the shutoff valve/utility box thing in the closet and went over all the stuff they did so we'd know how to work them.

Chris did everything when he promised for the price he promised. Would definitely use him again!

Scheduled the appointment for a Wednesday afternoon, received an email the morning of the repair saying the repairman was ill and they would not be able to come out until the following week. Received a follow up email the same day saying that they would be willing to come out on the weekend at no extra charge. The repairman came out early Sunday morning and was extremely courteous and professional, explained the options and provided his recommendation based on the circumstances. He performed the task quickly and I was very happy with the finished product, although I thought it a little pricey. All in all I would have little hesitation recommending both the repairman (Bob I think?) and the company to a friend.

Working with CK was great. The appointment was easy to set up and schedule and the crew was here on time. The work was done quickly and done right.

Arrived in the time frame they stated, completed removal of old water heater and installation of the new one in about 2 hours. Tank was located in the attic and the two technicians were able to get it out through the two staircases without incident or issue. Refilled tank and checked that it operated correctly. They were able to assist in changing the water pressure higher into the home. Overall satisfied. Will likely make an appt with them to fix a broken exterior faucet shortly.

They did a good job. They even came early and were punctual. They even located a electrician for me. They made the process easy for me and went beyond. He took the time to help me find the solution to an expensive problem.

First of all, I'm sorry that it took so long to write this!! CK's did fantastic work, but we never got around to singing their praises. So, hopefully, better late than never. Second, the price I listed above is inaccurate (sorry!)--I no longer recall the cost of service, but I do remember it was inexpensive, the cheapest among four quotes. Our water heater started leaking in August. We hunted around for plumbers around the Triangle, mostly through Angie's. We found CK, super-highly rated, and prepared ourselves to be told we'd have to wait for days and days. They told us they were a little backlogged, but when I explained we were dealing with a leak, the owner called us back and told us he'd come out the same day to help us out. He came out, took a look, then called two of his men and worked it out with them to make the trip out to see us that day, as their last job of the day. They came, at the early part of the timeframe promised, then quoted us a price. We are careful people, so we also called around to other recommended folks on Angie's, and we did Internet research on water heaters to get a feel for pricing and quality. CK's offered a good quality water heater at a reasonable price, but we asked for a different unit which we'd researched online. They were very accommodating and found a good deal for us from one of their suppliers and got us the heater we wanted, cheaper than we could have gotten it ourselves. They were also less expensive than any of their competitors whom we researched. The job itself was done perfectly. They were quick, polite, and communicative with us. They used booties over their shoes and laid tarp down on our floor to prevent damage or mess to our floors, and they did a thorough job of cleaning up after the job was done. We were so impressed with them, and highly recommend using them to anyone who's looking.

One of the only plumbers open on Saturday who did not charge an extra Saturday service fee. They were quick, courteous, and reasonably priced.

He came on time, explained what he'd be doing, then found and fixed the leak in the front yard in about 10 minutes. He then dug up the area to cap off the leak. Additionally, he replaced the inside shut off valve and installed an under sink water filter. Awesome service and price.

They showed up really fast, did a great job in a short amount of time, they gave us a great price, and were very friendly. I will call them for all my future plumbing needs.

Work was done quickly and efficiently. I built a barn a year or so ago and my contractor used another plumber. Boy was that a mistake! I won't call anyone else in the future.

Interactions with office staff were always pleasant and communication was good. The plumbers were polite and efficient and very careful not to make a mess. They arrived on time and finished the work sooner than expected.

They weren't available for an entire week, but when the plumbers did arrive (2), they had the old faucet out and the new one in and working and cleaned up in 20 minutes...they worked quick and got out of here, professional. Happy overall.

They came on short notice, arrived on time, did great work, and were cheaper than another provider that stood me up.

I have used many plumbers over the last thirty years for both an apartment building and my personal residences. CK's and Bob and Frank are among the true stars I have worked with. Their work is clean, careful and thoroughly professional. They are nice folks in addition. Bob and Frank are very easy to talk to and to problem-solve with. The communications in scheduling were excellent. They do stand out in the plumbing crowd. I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't go with them. Anyone else new is going to come with a lot of unknowns. Save yourself the aggravation. Go with these pros.
