Went great

We traveled to Raleigh to look at their model barns at their business one Saturday afternoon. We were impressed by the custom features they could build into the barn. I was particular about the roof pitch and the potting bench, but I was pleased with the other features they offered as well. We opted for a barn that has three vinyl windows, a transom window above the front doors, a potting bench, and a storage loft. After we picked out what we wanted and made sure our permit was in order, Carolina Yard Barns sent one of their men to begin work on it. This dude, by himself, built the base, the flooring, the framing, the walls, and the plywood roof. He got down to business and had most of the barn completed in two days. He came back to finish the job with two other men the next day to install the shingles. We chose to paint the barn ourselves during the course of the next week or two. We then sent in our pic of the painted barn and Carolina Yard Barns gave us their five year warranty. They honored their warranty a year later when the winds of the winter of 2009 blew a few shingles off the roof. All it took was a quick phone call to CYB and they next day we came home to a fixed roof. We haven't had any troubles with the barn since then. We are very satisfied with our barn and we would use CYB in the future.

I selected this provider from Angie's List based on a few previous reviews. I was also able to gather good information from the provider's website and their various models are on display for a firsthand look. I felt the product was sound and they offered considerable flexibility with construction details. They were also good at providing recommendations regarding some of the design options. Overall, a very good experience. I have a great shed.
