Carolina Blind Crafters: Blinds, Shades, Shutters

Michelle did a great job providing me with the different options for blinds, including breakdown of cost. All appointments were scheduled in a timely manner and each individual was very responsive. Ben, the installer, was great - very professional, timely, and did a great job with the installation. The blinds look wonderful and I couldn't be happier with the project. amazing quality and quick turnaround; we had our blinds in before we moved in and our sunshades came in within 3 weeks; good eye for sizing and colors I would encourage anyone to at least get a quote; my daughter bought a fixer upper, and these guys came and installed blinds for not much money in a quick period of time ben the owner is just a delight and really knows his stuff

I found Carolina Blind Crafters on Angie's List and after getting several estimates from other companies my wife and I choose them to install our blinds. Initially, we only wanted only nine windows done, but the price was much better the other estimates. The sales person was very professional, efficient, and adaptable. I had to reschedule several times and they worked with me. The process happened just as it was explained to me by the sales person and the owner Ben. After we paid the 50 percent deposit, Ben came to my house to measure the windows again. He said the blinds will arrive in two to three weeks and I will call you to schedule a time for installation. Ben called when the blinds arrived and he came to install them. Ben was scheduled at 1 p.m. and he arrived at 12:45. It took him close to 2 hours to install the blinds and he carried on a conversation with me while he worked. The house looks so much better! My wife and I are very pleased with the result. Ben forgot to cut the end of one of the valances, he said they would not charge us until the job is complete.

I was visited first by Michelle, who showed me the options available for what I wanted to do. I chose a linen shade. She took measurements. Then, a few days later, Ben, the installer came and double checked the measurements. About 2 weeks later, the shade was installed by Ben. It fits and looks well. It appears to be well made.

Service was excellent from the appointment with the salesperson, Heather, through the installation process with Ben. We could not be happier and the difference it made in our house is amazing. They were professional, timely and prices were great.

great service and installation. Master Bedroom has huge windows and the price was very good for the produce. Did full wood in master bedroom and a composite in the bath. Looks gorgeous! really great job. Installation was professional and they did a great job explaining their warranty and how to care for their products. Will definitely use them again as we love the plantation shutters and will probably install additional ones upstairs.

We are very pleased with the entire experience of working with this company. Michelle helped choose the blinds and the installation (by Ben) was done very well. The blinds look beautiful. When the need arises, we will definitely use them again.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Everything was done perfectly and my home looks beautiful. I intend to use them again for a shade on my back porch. This was was probably the smoothest job I have ever had done in my life. From Heather who did the measuring to Ben who did the installation. One shade was made incorrectly so they had to take it back and order another one. They wouldn't take the balance of the money until I received the correct shade. Ben, the installer, is such a nice young man and a pleasure to be around.

Everyone from sales, customer service and installation were very friendly and professional. We thought there was a good selection of products and a good warranty based on what we were looking for. The sales rep took the size and count of our windows but the installer also came out for final measurements before sending off our order. Our blinds/shades were back in about 2 weeks or so as promised. Ben, the installer, was on time, worked efficiently and was complete within a couple hours. Before leaving he cleaned up and vacuumed by the windows which I thought was nice. Great overall experience and now we've got some privacy!

Ben (installer) was very professional and did a great job! They are meticulous, making sure they remove all packaging materials. Ge left our house as clean as when he arrived. Ben was great in helping with selection and color. He was very knowledgeable about the products. Installations was outstanding, would most definitely use them again. Highly recommend them. I bought the silhouettes which are probably one of the most expensive products they carry, but Hunter Douglas is 3 times the price.

Everything with the selection, purchase, and installation for our blinds went very well. The initial visit with the sales consultant went very well. They had a wide selection of styles and colors. The price was very reasonable compared to another place we had tried first. It took the expected 3 weeks for the shades to be made. The installation process had a glitch which was resolved without much inconvenience for us. There was an imperfection in one of the roller shades that the installer pointed out, so he reordered that roller without us having to ask.

We had several blinds that no longer functioned properly because the string broke. We decided to replace almost all of the shades/blinds in our home-we didn't do the 3 windows in the kitchen as those blinds were still in good condition. We called Carolina Blind Crafters based on reviews in Angie's List and they came out within a few days to review our request, make suggestions and provide an estimate. The work was completed on time and we are extremely pleased with our new window coverings. Everyone was very professional and courteous. We'd highly recommend Carolina Blind Crafters.

I can't say enough positive things about this company and the service they provided. Heather came right on the dot of the appointed time, measured and quoted right on the spot. She is engaging and helpful! An additional appointment was made for a re-measure once I confirmed that I would like them to make my blinds. Again, Ben was right on time and QUICK---none of this "we'll be there in some 4-hour window of time! We scheduled an installation and again Ben was right on the time scheduled. He hung everything, had me check the blinds, showed me how to use them and carried away every bit of trash and boxes. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to consider this company!

This company is outstanding. Everyone with the company was extremely pleasant to work with. They came out and took a measurement and then came back to install everything. The same guy came out to complete all of the work, and I would recommend them to anybody.

Carolina Blind Crafters was the only company I was able to find that would work with my schedule. They responded quickly to my request through Angie's List. Ben was able to accommodate my schedule for both the initial consultation and installation Ben had an excellent array of samples and was more consultive than sales focused. I called Carolina Blind Crafters and made an appointment. Heather the sales consultant came to my home for a consultation.I really didn't know what I wanted, she was ever so helpful in picking out the style and color(no pressure at all). She is very good at what she does. Within the next week Ben came out and took measurements (all of 10 minutes).Now comes the wait of 5 weeks for shutters to be delivered, but before the end of the sixth week, Alex the installer came and my beautiful shutters were installed. From the first encounter to the last, was very pleased with each encounter, very professional they all were. Their ability to make this an easy and seamless process was awesome and greatly appreciated. Will be using them for the other windows.

Went well. Very happy with the interior designer who made first contact with me. She was able to see what I wanted rather than what she would do with the house. Quality of blinds not what I had in previous home, but much more reasonable in price and look fine. Installer and owner Ben did a great job. Would use them again.

They were installed much sooner than I thought. They were very helpful in coming up with ideas for the rooms. Love them.

I contacted Carolina Blind Crafters through the website. Heather contacted me the next day to arrange an appointment. She arrived on time and brought samples of items we discussed while making appointment. She explained about how to installed the plantation shutters by adding a piece of molding so we could still tilt our windows out to clean. I was thrilled about this since I had been told by several people that we wouldn't be able to tilt out our window to be cleaned if we installed plantation shutters. She helped pick out everything so it would match our current molding. She suggusted 3 blinds for the third bedroom so we so it would look more like the plantation shutters in the bedroom beside. I told I wasn't sure about to do with the sliding glass door because in our previous house we had vertical blinds in several rooms and after about 2 years they wouldn't open or close properly and some of the slats on the blinds went in different directions. I told her about seeing vertical honeycombed but wasn't sure about them and she suggested using 2 horizontal blind so we could make adjustment for the sunlight for each part of the door. She measured and gave me the pricing. I was thrilled with the pricing. I didn't think I would be about to get so many plantation blinds for the budget I had because of everyone telling they were extremely expensive. I reviewed the proposal contacted her to make the deposit. Ben called to make the appointment to measure the windows to place the order. He arrived on time and went into more detail about the plantation blinds. When the blinds arrived Ken installed the plantation blinds and Ben installed the wood blinds blinds and honeycombed blinds. They were punctual (Ken actually arrived early). They were very neat did not make any mess. Ben called a few days later to followup and see if there were any problems. Everyone I dealt with was professional, punctual and friendly. I love how my windows look. The plantation shutters are beautiful. Heather was spot on about the wood blinds and how they look from the street when compared to the plantation shutter in the next room. The suggestion to use 2 horizontal honeycombed blinds turned out to be great also it let us lower and rise each blind depending on how much sun it coming through each door. I hope one day to be able to have plantation shutters installed in the 3rd bedroom and will definitely call them.

The service was excellent all around ! I read the reviews before contacting them . The reviews were so outstanding I made an appt. the price was great , as well, as I had another business give me an estimate. Very professional and thou rough. The windows were measured by 2 different people. Installer(Ben) was super. He was calm and courteous . Having made an appt. for a particular time because I would not be home earlier, he mistakenly arrived 40 minutes early . I was not happy about that and told him, and he graciously apologizes and was sincerely apologetic. I also told him I was sorry for being so stressed out... And all was well! ! One of the blinds has to be redone because the measurements were a bit off , so he left the original up and will come back to install the right one! I would most definitely recommend and use them again... Very happy and my windows look GREAT! Angie's List really was very helpful in allowing me to get the best provider!!

Our phone call was returned promptly and an appointment was set with interior designer, Heather...she arrived promptly at our home on the set date. Heather took plenty of time to review what we needed and made great suggestions. She was mindful of our budget and we appreciate her caring and professional attitude. It was a pleasure to work with her and she is an invaluable asset to Carolina Blind Crafters! We were in the midst of deciding on some other home decor items and Heather kindly made some suggestions for paint color when we asked her opinion. This was much appreciated, her expertise saved us from possibly making some expensive mistakes! Ben arrived promptly on the date for installation and did an excellent job. When we called later about a small issue, he came back without complaint and took care of it. Ben is an expert at installation and just a personable, professional, capable young man. He went above and beyond our expectations and we are very pleased with the outcome. This is a locally owned business. We loved supporting them and appreciate that we could read all of the great reviews on Angie's List to find the perfect company to hire for this job! Highly recommended, we give them an A+.

Very professional company. Heather did a great job in helping me make choices and writing an estimate. Ben did an excellent job with installation. All the blinds were ready in about two weeks. Everyone returned calls quickly, showed up on time for appointments, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the shades and blinds. I'm not totally happy with one of my choices, but not through anyone else's fault. I just wish I'd done blinds in one room, instead of blackout shades, but Heather spent a lot of time with me going over various choices and I'm the one who picked them. I'd recommend this company to anyone needing blinds or shades.
