Baker Roofing did an excellent job in determining what needed to be done to correct this leakage problem. They inspected the entire situation before determining what need to be done. They made suggestions to prevent any further water damage in the future. The entire project was scheduled to be completed in one day. They met our expectations and they did it very professionally.

I got several quotes, and Baker Roofing was the highest. They were almost twice the price of the company that we did end up using. The person who came out was extremely nice and very up-front about their business. It just seemed as if they do more commercial business and that our job was so small that the pricing suffered.

There is no story. It went like clockwork. They came when they said they would, did what they said they would do, and did it all within the time frame in which they said they would do it!

I discovered a small leak in the ceiling of my master bedroom. Panicked I called Baker Roofing and left message on a Sunday. They called me first thing Monday morning and arranged for someone to come out right away to take a look and give me an estimate. The guy was very professional and went up on my roof and also in my attic. After explaining the problems he gave me an estimate and then later that day I believe he emailed me a detailed Proposal and Contract to sign. This was on January 8. He set a date for work to be completed maybe two days later but had to cancel because a crew worker had the flu and had put them behind on their schedule. The Supervisor arranged for the crew to do the work on a Saturday (Jan. 12) ahead of a forecasted rain storm on Monday. I was extremely grateful that they made the extra effort to get my job done before further water damage could be done. They were professional in performing the repairs and then cleaned up all areas of work debris around the house on the ground. I was very pleased with their services and work performance. They mailed an invoice for payment about a week later which was due upon receipt.

They were very personable and very helpful. The people that made the presentation did a good job but I didn't pick them. It was fantastic and I had a very good experience.

Baker roofing did a fantastic job from the appraisal all the way through to the clean up of the yard at the end of the job. The workers all behaved professionally and did a quick and beautiful job. I wanted to go with an established roofing company that was able to back up their warranties and I could not be happier with the work performed. They did a nice job of setting our expectations and following through, they kept us informed throughout the job what the process was going to be and what to expect.. I highly recommend them.

Baker Roofing Company are prompt and efficient. They know exactly what they're doing. They took photographs. I had my roof done by someone else and they fixed it up. Baker Roofing went up and took a picture of the work the previous roofer had done. Then they took a picture of their own work, when they were done with the repairs. That's a very good thing to do, I think. Baker Roofing was most personable and very prompt. I couldn't fault him in any way, at all. He's just outstanding.

My roof has some very steep angles and 4 different levels so this was not a job I felt comfortable even attempting myself. I am the type of person who researches something to the point of insanity and when I say I got a few estimates...I got 14 actually over a 3 month period. From the biggest and most advertised companies to the one-man roofers on Criagslist, I saw them all. Now I must say that Baker was not the absolute cheapest I encountered, but they offered a much more inclusive 'package' for not that much more. In other words they did the job right. On top of it they back all their WORK with a 10 year transferrable warranty (if you sell your house you can advertise the roof under warranty). I noticed a lot of roofers try to pitch the shingle warranty that the manufacturer provides as if they are doing you a favor... I really cant get a clear understanding of that from GAFs website. The job was done quick and although it was interrupted by freezing rain, the crew came back the next day and finished the job, despite the then snow. There are certain parts of my roof that are slightly bowed due to the construction and although Baker promised me the integrity of the roof was solid they still went back and installed some 'cosmetic padding' just to make it as pretty as it was sound. My 80's skylights, which have been a nightmare to find parts for and repair- they looked like mismatching frankenstein fishbowls up there, were replaced in the time I went to the gym and back and look so sleek like they are part of the original design. My only regret is that 95% of my roof cant be seen from the street! A roof is a huge investment and something you definitely only want to do once! I am more than confident that my new roof, especially my trouble spots like skylights and flashing, will well outlast my ownership of this home. I will try to upload some pictures as soon as I get a chance! PS I selected NA for quality because my roof is only three days old. From what I can see with my naked eye though, the quality does not look questionable at all! Also, I wish I could do a B+ for price because, as mentioned earlier, they were not the cheapest but for what they offered they were definetly the best deal!

As the fourth owner, the buildings on our property had been built in stages, with the main house completed in 1993, added to in 2000, garage also added in 2000, with the well house and shed of unknown date but not earlier than 1993. All shingles were standard 3-tab shingles and the oldest ones were worn out and falling apart over the main house area. We thought of just roofing this area but finally decided on our own to roof all buildings and be done with it. We entertained proposals from four (4) contractors with A ratings on Angie's list and chose Baker Roofing as our best alternative. We were worrying about the winter weather and the wind, rain and snow that had been a regular in February. The combination of size, experience, pricing and the timing of being able to do the job very soon led us to conclude that Baker was our best choice. The crew showed up at 8 AM on Tuesday morning, Feb 12, and by 8:15 were up on the house and the removal of the roof shingles and underlayment down to the roof decking itself had started. The whole crew consisted of about 10 people and everyone was very busy. Roofing material was coming off so fast it looked like black snow dropping from the sky. The large blue tarps draped from the roof edge down to the ground and out from the house caught most of the materials but there was so much of it that some got out into the yard farther. Once the old materials were off the roof and the roof deck was checked for any decking that needed to be replaced, the installation of new materials began. The ground crew cleaned up the old materials from the blue tarps and got new materials up to the crew on the house for them to install. Nobody was just standing around. They broke for lunch at about 12:15 PM, and started back to work at 1:15 PM. The goal was to have the entire area of the house that had the oldest shingles on it when the day started totally covered by the new roofing materials at the end of the day since the forecast was for rain all day the next day. The first day goal was accomplished as it got dark, with the crews finally leaving for home at about 7:00 PM that day. It rained a significant part of the day on Wednesday, but at 7:45 AM on Thursday, Feb 14, the crew was back and part of the crew started finishing the roofing of the main house, another group started stripping the garage down to the roof deck and then immediately started putting the new roofing materials on the garage. Finalization of ridge vents for the house ridges and for the garage ridge took into the afternoon to complete. Then a small crew moved to the shed, took all the old materials off, cut a ridge vent into the top of the roof deck, placed drip edge at the perimeter of the roof, covered the roof deck with the wintergard material, added the architectural shingles, added the ridge vent and the ridge caps. Finally, a couple of people did the same without ridge vent to the well house roof, with the old materials being removed and the new materials installed. Meanwhile the cleanup of the grounds from the significant amount of old material that had been taken off the buildings was completed with old shingles in a trailer to go be recycled and all the other debris placed in a large dump truck to go away to the land fill. With the grounds cleaned very well, the crews left the worksite at about 6 PM Thursday evening and the roofing job was essentially finished. The crew and project manager for this rather large residential roofing job did an excellent job of always being busy doing what they were supposed to do. 77 squares of roofing is a large area and their being able to get the job done in two days was great. Baker Roofing is to be commended on their professionalism and dedication to the job. I am not concerned about the wind, the rain, or the snow any longer.

Overall things went well. I had found a leak over our front porch that was coming from the metal ridge vent and called several companies for estimates. Roberto was right on time do the estimate and found a few other items that should be repaired. Took about a week for the estimate to come in and it had the option of just doing the minor repairs and fixing the leak and the option of fixing everything as well as replacing all of the metal ridge vent since it was not in the best shape. I opted for the full replacement rather than risk another leak in the future. About a week and a half after accepting the estimate, Baker called to schedule the repair on the following Monday which worked well for me. The crew was suppose to be there around lunch but apparently got there some time after 2:00 pm (I was out at the time). Upon my return at 5:15 they were packing everything up and had completed all the work. All the waste had been removed and there was no evidence of their presence except the obvious repairs. All of the work seems to have been done well as we just had a rain/wind storm and there is no evidence of leaks.

Always on time from estimate to finishing. My major concern was to protect the shrubs around the house. That was done by providing a "slide" from the roof to the ground, so that the shingles did not hit the bushes. The crew (sometimes 8-10 workers) were neat, cleaned up every evening. Took 3 days as they had estimated. The final price was exactly what the estimate was. Very helpful to have a foreman assigned to the project who was on site the entire time. Did a walk around after the project was complete to make sure I was satisfied. Entire job took 3 days.

We were very satisfied with the job done and have recommended them to others. Baker Roofing and their team were very professional, explaining the proposed work, warranty , and answering our questions. The Project Manager was there for the three day job duration, and he and his team did a very good job, including cleaning up daily. They followed up after completion addressing minor issues to our satisfaction

They did were prompt, did excellent work and were thorough. I was also happy they brought a few others things to my attention, and made necessary changes to that I was unaware of.

They were not quite the cheapest but reasonably priced and I chose them based on their reputation. I felt good about hiring a local company and they came in and did the work they said they would do, they came on time, and there was minimal disruption to our home. I have yet to find any nails or anything and they really cleaned up after themselves. I am going to pay them soon but they did not ask for the money up front and they want to make sure you are 100% satisfied first. I would not hesitate to have them give me a price on a project in the future!

Our first contact with Baker was to get an estimate for a replacement roof. While we were in the process of obtaining additional quotes from other roofing contractors, the weather forecast predicted four days of very hard rain. The first night of the rain, the leak got much worse and water was coming in through one of our ceilings. We panicked, as we knew it was going to rain very hard throughout the night. It was already 8 pm and my husband called the estimator from Baker to explain the serious situation we were in. He sent people out within an hour to our home whereupon they placed a tarp on the roof in order to keep additional water from seeping through the roof. Once we experienced their professionalism and quick response to our dire situation (without our even having signed a contract), we immediately signed the contract and the roof was replaced approximately one week later. The entire experience was extremely professional and the price was very fair, as well. Additionally, several months ago as we were preparing to move out of state, we noticed a small drip from the roof in our attic. I called Baker and they had a representative at our home that day. It turned out to be a small gap near the attic fan that needed caulking and it was immediately taken care of. We were very happy with our experience with Baker and have recommended them to everyone we know who is in need of a new roof. Baker Roofing has been one of the best companies we have ever dealt with.

Completed the job, but was not completely satisfied given the reputation of Baker roofing.

All of the interactions with them were very professional. They cleaned up well at the end of the job and did the job with great quality.

Superb job by a hard working team of roofing professionals. In my mind, the team included sales (John Bayer), project manager (Matthew Smith), roofing team (too many to name) and accounts receivable (Andy Tart). The majority of the work was performed 10/31 and 11/01. Soffit followed 11/02 and gutters the following week. The roofing team worked from arrival to lunch and resumed after lunch staying on task each day of roof removal and new installation. Focus was paid to problem areas. The crew leader (Luis) ensured that I saw each and every piece of rotted wood before proceeding with replacement.The job was started and completed just as Hurricane Sandy was approaching the East Coast. At the end of every evening, the crew cleaned up, searched for stray nails and debris. Then the project manager arrived to inspect the work site. Needless to say, while the hurricane's track was still uncertain, it was good to know Baker Roofing was focused on minimizing the risk. At one point, Baker "double teamed" my job and had two crews to accelerate the installation.During the process, not only did the crew leader and the project manager stay in touch with me, the salesman also called to solicit any issues I may have.My wife and I are 110% satisfied. We had two primary reasons for choosing Baker Roofing. We were familiar with their customer focus and workmanship as they'd fixed tree damage for us before. The other reason is that we believe Baker will be around for years, probably longer than the years I hope to get out of this particular roofing installation. My hope? 20 years. Lastly, 3 or 4 neighbors have stopped by to compliment us about the new roof and had watched the whole process.

In answer to this question, below is a copy of the letter I wrote to the Owner of Baker Roofing to let him know how I felt about the job his crew did on my home: Dear Mr. Baker: First, I want you to know that in the 11 years I have lived in my home, I have had many contractors perform work for me both inside and outside of it. In all those years and with all those many contractors, I've never once felt compelled to write the company owner to compliment the work done, because, to be honest, I never felt the work was "spectacular" enough to be complemented to that extent. NOT the case with your company and my new roof ! From start to finish, there was not ONE SINGLE AREA that wasn't done completely to perfection and to my satisfaction ! All appointments, both with Rob Holt to quote the job initially, all the way down to the completion of the job, plus the regular visits from Ariel Perez, your Job Supervisor, which were planned and on time, to the minute, made the job run so smoothly. Ariel was a wonderful person to be in charge of the crew and kept all of his men in line, constantly working and doing an exceptional job. He answered all of my many questions, responded to my texts and emails immediately and truly made me feel like my job was his most important one (and I'm sure he makes all your other customers feel the same way too!) Now that I've expressed my pleasure and satisfaction with your supervisory staff, I can't forget about your work crew ! What a breath of fresh air to see an entire crew of men, working from sun up to sundown each day, seldom taking breaks, taking such pride in their work, making sure all the items / furniture / wind chimes in my yard were carefully put away so that they would not get damaged, watching them carefully and diligently clean the areas each day before they left, making sure not one single nail was left anywhere, and always greeting me with respect at all times. The job they did was simply wonderful and on the Saturday afternoon when they were done, instead of running off to start their weekend, they went over and over inspecting my roof to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. Whenever I saw a raised tile, they were right on it to make sure it looked perfect (and without an attitude too !) Needless-to-say, spending $23,000 for our new roof was not taken lightly and to spend so much money having to first worry about if the job would be done right and also if there would be damage left on my property afterwards, made it so nice to see that I had not one worry in the world and I'm sure won't for years to come either ! Please make sure Ariel knows how much I appreciated his concern, professionalism and special details to this job and also make sure the entire crew that worked on my home knows how much I appreciated THEIR concise and detailed work and of the pride they took in it. Should you ever need a recommendation, please let me know and I'll be glad to give you one. When I'm happy, I'm a walking megaphone for any company I'm impressed with and I haven't felt that way before, as I have felt with Baker Roofing. The sales rep came to inspect our roof and give us an estimate of what needed to be done.

The work went perfectly for 3 days - the weather was perfect. We then had several day of rain so the work was completed 7 days after it was started. All information about how we should prepare for the project were given to us in advance - and was precise and correct. Clean up after each day of work was as good as we have ever experienced - this means it was as good as it could be in our opinion. Several minor details - such as a small amount of dirt on the skylight windows was noted by us - they were very accommodating and cleaned them to our complete satisfaction. They seemed very anxious in a professional way to give good service. The work was completed today - if I have complaints later I will notify you.

The company representative arrived exactly when scheduled. He was quick in his inspection but his assessment did not agree with that of my insurance inspector nor any of the other roofing representatives who inspected the roof. The quote given was quite a bit higher than all other quotes and for a much lesser grade of shingle.

It went perfect. It has rained very hard since the repair and we have no leak.

We were pleased with the work. The team was on time starting and completing the work. The work was completed to the estimate. We selected Baker because they detailed all their work in the contract, had a good rating, and used quality materials. We were at first dissatisfied with the cleanup. The team came back and cleaned up and removed materials.
